Guest Reviews
- Louise (4/5): - Room had mold smell electrical outlet on safe no blanket on bed would not recommend to anyone
- Adam (6/5): - Hidden quiet area.
- Annabel (10/5): - Very friendly and nice ! Room was nice and clean ! Will definitely book again :)
- Alicia (10/5): - Very courteous staff.
Clean room
- Jose (8/5): - More cleaning
- Eiichi (6/5): - Owners are friendly. I examined two rooms (because I failed to specify non-smoking) and the amenities were not consistent, e.g., assortment of bathroom supplies. Good internet connection. Fairly poor lighting. Inadequate # of electrical outlets; had trouble finding 2 that worked. (Two of outlets were so loose that my plugs did not stay in.)
- Barbara (10/5): - Clean room, friendly staff and hot coffee. Marked as a favorite and will stay again!
- Josue (10/5): - Overall great experience. Will be back
- Lance (6/5): A thorough assessment - From what I gather about the Bluestar in Chicago Ridge it’s a “former dump” in what used to be a pretty rough part of town that is now revitalized. The place still has that old cigarette stench in the walls. Plus they only give you “a sheet” to cover yourself when you sleep, not a legitimate blanket. I’m okay with all of that but don’t do a half a** job in renovations then turn around and charge $120 a night. That’s the biggest issue any guest will have with this place. For what you get? They should be charging $70 a night and even that may be a stretch. They need to provide better cleanliness and amenities for what they charge. And for God’s sake fumigate that place and get rid of that cigarette stench. Put a couple of trash dumpsters outside so people can empty their trash. Make it a place where you deserve $120 a night.

- Kishan (10/5): - Everything was nearby, many dining options and front desk people were friendly and nice. The check in was quick.
- patricia (2/5): - Access to the upper floors was very very difficult steep stairs no help available. The area felt very unsafe. Incredibly noisy traffic drag racing. Also questionable activity going on at the hotel yelling coming from one room in the middle of the night. I felt very unsafe.
- Gaurango (10/5): - The staff at the front desk were extremely helpful and welcoming. The hot tub was a great addition to the room. It was a smoking room we were booked in, but the staff were very helpful in providing a liquid spray to get rid of any smoking odors in the room since we were non-smokers. The hotel was very reasonably priced for the amenities provided in the room. My only suggestion would be to include a coffee maker in the room.
- David (8/5): Good value, but depends what you’re sensitive to - I stayed from Friday to Monday. My room was moderately run down, but functional and pretty clean. The bathroom had a modern, powerful toilet and good water pressure in the shower, but no fan (so I kept the door open). The room had a fridge and microwave, both of which I made use of, but no coffee maker. The bed was firm and I slept well on it. The AC unit worked well to keep the room cool. Laminate/tile floors (no carpet). There was some outdoor noise, but not enough to prevent sleep. Some small bugs around the bathroom/sink area that didn’t really bother me. I didn’t use the TV.
My biggest complaint would be that the room had a smoky smell. I can be sensitive to that, but it wasn’t bad enough to trigger my allergies. One other thing to note is that they had a new fire alarm system installed, but the old smoke detector was still on the wall with no battery, so that was a little concerning at first until I noticed the other system.
Overall it was a good value for the money and I’d stay there again, maybe trying a different room type if available (I only had one option).
- Yessenia (8/5): - It was clean
- Tial (8/5): - it’s a nice place to stay.
- Amity (8/5): Chicago - We stayed a couple of days. The room was clean and smelled clean was just right for the purpose. There were no bugs and was rather quiet. If I had to visit Chicago again in same area I would chose this motel for my needs it was cheap but cleaner than most budget motels I have stayed at.
- Ricardo (10/5): - Awesome stay nice people clean room
- Elon (8/5): - Stayed here for one night for the price that you paid. It’s really nice and there’s a Starbucks, Burger King Walmart and gas station right next to the motel room kinda had a Oder to it, but didn’t really bother me once you were there for a while.
- Marko (10/5): - Everything was perfect
- Marko (10/5): - Everything was perfect
- nikko (4/5): - Room smelled like cigarettes no blankets on bed sink was falling apart
- Cayse (8/5): - The staff were very attentive and professional. The rooms were clean. However, I would say the pillows and beds were not the most comfortable. Otherwise it was a pretty good deal for the money.
- Ruth (6/5): - look, you get what you pay for. its fine if you just need a place to sleep but will be out all day. its clean. bed average. infrastructure of the building okay, but its run down- what do you expect though? its a motel. as long as there are no bugs then i was fine. internet and tv with plenty of channels to keep you occupied before going to bed. again dont come if youre looking for a stay cation. only stay here if you are tight on budget and need a quick place to sleep. its about 30 min drive from all the fun attraction on michigan ave.
- Hardy (6/5): - tan kiou
- Shanita (2/5): - Very loud music playing in other room at 230am you can hear ppl having you know what through wall bed banging DONT BRING KIDS OR WASTE YOUR MONEH ROOMS NOT WORTH PRICE!
