- Eliane (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, very close to several bus stops and many food options. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything I needed. The only small things that could be improved are the storage space in the room (there’s no wardrobe, just a clothes rack) and the cleaning, as used cups were not removed during my stay. Overall, it’s a great place to stay and I would definitely recommend it!

- R D (6/5): Good and bad - Some pros and cons. Staff very friendly. Location great. Hotel in general very nice. But… toilet / bathroom smelt awful (room 209). Also, room was not cleaned. Which I found very weird. I went out all day, came back at 8pm and room not cleaned, bed not made, towels not picked up off floor. Either they don’t clean the rooms every day, or they forget my room. Not good.

- Stuart (2/5): - The hotel looks great, but functionally is clearly not ready to accept guests. The lift wasn't working, the air con wasn't working, the shower pressure was terrible and the water was not hot. The people on the desk were friendly and attempted to find us a new room when they realised we had a small dog, explaining 'floor 3 has carpets', but the lady who I presumed the Hotel Manger, was rude to them in front of us 'give them the room they were allocated' she hissed without even looking at us, she may as well of been rude to us directly. We saw her again on leaving the hotel in the morning and she just held out her hand for the room keys she nether thanked us for our stay, or wished us a good day. We were not especially high value guests, but it was our daughters first week at Edinburgh Uni and you would have had us as repeat customers for 6 years if the experience was better, and you had a different manager.
- Nicole (10/5): - This is a new hotel in a beautiful location. I was able to walk everywhere. Parking is not easy, so if you don’t need a car I would skip the rental. The hotel has a restaurant and bar. Food was good at the bar, I did not eat at the restaurant which is separate. Staff was incredibly friendly. The bartenders made good drink recommendations, and had quick service. The room was great. Lighting was a little weird in my opinion very soft lighting which made the room feel dark. The bath towels were huge and so cozy. I would definitely stay there again!

- Casey (10/5): - This was the perfect place to stay for two nights while I was exploring Edinburgh. It was conveniently located and there was plenty of things to see right around it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The accommodations were comfortable and everything felt safe and clean.
- Eileen (6/5): - The lobby, bar and restaurant are beautiful. Ate in the restaurant for dinner. Food was good, waiter was outstanding. We were disappointed in the room, especially for the price. Nice room, but not for a traveler. I will say the bed was comfortable but definitely not the softest sheets. The bathroom had no hooks to hang anything- like a towel! The coffee 'bags' were awful. There wasn't a luggage rack. No Smart TV- odd for such a new hotel. Also, when we left our room, the hall had an odd fish smell and our room was near the garbage bins outside so we were serenaded by the sound of crashing bottles. One good thing- not near the Royal Mile- but lots of great public transport nearby.
- Aoife (8/5): Lovely new hotel - room very cold! - It’s a nice refurbed hotel, loved the lobby area where you can get food and work which is great as my room was small which I knew when booking. Service was great also. Had a bit of confusion at check in which ended up making me feel a bit awkward but I suppose mistakes happen and everyone else on reception was so friendly and nice. My issue was my room was freezing when I got in and it took quite a while for it to heat up with aircon so I had to leave in going to sleep and the woke up to really stuffy air and coughing. Shame they don’t just have normal heating - and maybe it was just this room.

Sugar is an accelerant for cancer, but you only offered jams. Could you offer Marmite or Vegemite as an alternative. 3. Not that I would have had it, but a Scottish hotel should have Marmalade. Loved the stay. Will be staying often in the future. JG

It’s very safe area. The staff are amazing and make your stay perfect! The rooms are beautiful. And the onsite restaurants are amazing too. I will definitely be staying again.

The room was comfortable, clean, quiet, warm - a lovely place to spend time due to the gorgeous styling. The staff were all so warm and welcoming, and made me feel very at home. The new hotel is beautiful, and despite it being an old building it’s still quiet and warm - no draughts or chill. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. Despite being on the second floor, the water pressure in the shower was excellent. I would absolutely recommend a stay here, and would love to visit again myself soon!
