- TODD (2/5): NEVER AGAIN - HEALTH SAFETY HAZARDS & CONCERNS!! - Horrific stay! Hotel is unsafe, dirty and extremely outdated! Peeling wallpaper, cracked ceilings, nasty entry walkway to room. Securty lock on door broken - not usable. A/C system was soo loud, fan blades rattled all night, barely keep room at temp. One important fact the hotel doesn’t disclose is that they have indigent people living there! Exterior, walkways, and staircases full of dirt, old clothing and unemptied smelling trash cans. This place is a safety hazard and completely disgusting! NEVER AGAIN!!!

Stairs to second floor are dirty, boards rotting near staircase, outside room door looked very damaged as if jimmied with, etc. Despite getting a supposedly remodeled room, wallpaper was coming off in one area, beds looked like someone had slept in them, knob was off of dresser drawer. Bathroom was updated and clean but saw two cockroaches in there. Would not recommend staying here.

- karen (2/5): - The room we reserved “was not available”. We accepted another room for the same price. When we arrived at the room, the door was not shut tight and the TV was on. We should have gone back and asked for another room, but we didn’t. After we moved in, we found dirty towels under the sink and a shortage of clean towels. Someone had been sitting on one of the beds (imprints from their fanny and feet and the fitted sheet was pulled off the mattress) The security clasp on the inside of the door was broken off. The curtain hung by two hooks and did not cover the window. The toilet paper roll was nearly empty and no spare roll could be found. When we complained, we were offered another room, but we had very long day and decided it wasn’t worth moving. Our philosophy was you get what you pay for. That is our word to the wise. On a happier note, the BW had the best breakfast ever and we had access to the pool and weight room.

It shares the parking lot with the best Western, and also must be affiliated with best Western as that’s where the continental breakfast was. All in all well worth the money as both the rooms and breakfast were a great value.
- Connie (8/5): - There was some confusion when I checked in. I was given key cards for a room but when I walked in the lights were on and the beds weren’t made. I had to go back to the office to get a different room. The staff was very nice and helpful though.
- Gail (6/5): Fine tune the hotel. - Pool was closed in pm because of chemicals. AM 2 couples with 4 keys and pool door was hard to unlock. No lights in changing rooms at 9 am. Needs better signage to check in at Best Western across parking lot. We signed a no smoking agreement and we had to air out the room from a previous smoker.

- James (6/5): - The facility is elderly, but clean in the 2 units we used. There is a fair amount of sound transfer from upper to lower floor, at least with the neighbors we experienced. Breakfast at the associated Best Western was better than I expected.

- Suman (10/5): - There are 2 properties in the same premise. We stayed in Superior Suites, but the chec in or reception was in the other property. Room was nice and clean with a little noisy AC. The hotel staff qas friendly. The stairs and corridors was dirty with overflowing garbage bins. The breakfast was in the other property and you need to walk to ot. Breakfast was very nice and plenty full. Overall I'm happy for the price I paid.

- Marina (2/5): Just awful - Hotels.com shows the nice hotel beside the one you stay in. You stay in a room that is falling apart surrounded by long term rentals who use air tools at,7am to change tires in front of your window.. I found,pills on the floorand the room way far from clean.. people come and go at all hours and kids are running up and down the halls above you and in front of your room.. when i spoke to the desk about it they acted like i was being a pain.. i wouldnt stay here ever again.. just know the pics you see are not where you will be staying
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not great - Check in was not clear, this motel is shared with the best western, you check in, check out, get breakfast and use their amenities. There was a 3rd king size bed in our room, which was huge like a little apartment, but the beds weren’t even made, very dusty, stains on the blankets. No cell service in the area, the pool was absolutely gross tho, do not recommend, but there were tons of kids there so maybe that’s why. Also the hair dryer in the room didn’t work at all, ceiling looked like it was about to fall in, I would stay elsewhere next time, especially since I woke up with a rash on my face this morning, don’t know if it was the bedding or the pool but we’ll see what the Dr says. Spend a little more and stay somewhere else.

My room wasn’t ready at 4pm so l had to wait on a room to be cleaned. The toilet seat was wooden and it was decaying. Checkout time was at 12pm but housekeeping was banging at the door and woke me up at 11am.

- Holly (4/5): - Beds were hard and uncomfortable. Several rooms had permanent dwellers and made the space feel less like a vacation place. The check-in, pool, and breakfast were across the parking lot at another hotel, and breakfast was extra. The room was fairly clean, but the stairs to the room, pool area, and corridors were stained and clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The room was big and there were 2 TVs in the one we stayed at, but not enough garbarge bags and no utensils for a place that included a kitchen. We would not recommend and we will not stay here again.

- Verified traveler (4/5): "Dog Diarrhea, no toiletries, & bugs... OH MY!" - I had driven a long way so immediately needed to use the bathroom after checking in. Then realized there was no soap. No shampoo. No trash bags in the trash cans. No toilet paper refills. The room smelled like smoke and there were ants in the room. (Had to make sure to check for bedbugs... thankfully none!) Not the kind of carpet I'd feel quite comfortable walking on without flip flops on. (And I'm NOT terribly picky, so that's saying something!) The next morning, when I opened the door, there was literal dog diarrhea on the ground just outside the door of the room next to mine... up on the second floor balcony. (Oh gosh, at least I HOPE it was a dog!!) And it remained there my entire 3 night stay. If every other hotel hadn't already been full or way too expensive, I would have left. (But I guess you have to go to expensive places for "fancy" things like "soap"... and "toilet paper".) NEVER again.

I have stayed in some bad places in my life and this was the worst! Nothing at all like the pictures show!!! I have now spend hours trying to get my money back!!
- Brian (6/5): Nice enough stay, but very dirty for pricepoint - It was a little dirty. Had soda or something on the counters, walls, and side tables. The Door Latch was completly broken off. The fan in the bathroom didnt work. The bedding had a burn hole in it.

Parking lot was rough with some trash/debris laying around. Room was quiet, AC worked fine, bathroom was older, clean, everything worked, TV was ok, internet worked fine. Mostly that everything looked worn and low maintenance. No problems though, but knowing it now I'd choose a different place, like the Best Western across the parking lot where I had to check in since the Superior Place had no lobby or office.

- Kelli (2/5): - Worst place we've ever stayed. Check in handled at the hotel next door. The person at the desk couldn't figure out our reservation. When he finally found it he took my credit card for incidentals then told me I needed to still pay for the room. I told it it has been paid for months ago. I told him I didn't feel comfortable with him having my card at that time because he was insisting it wasn't paid for. He said I could check in and he'd check with his manager on it he then handed me a paper with my reservation info on it and it clearly said PREPAID He saw it and said oh your ok. I see it. He hands me the key and I walk out not feeling great about it. I handed it to my husband so he could find the room before we park and carry it things up. The key did not work on the door so this time he went it to speak to the person at the desk. After a number of minutes he returns and we head back. The property was in complete disarray. Everything was filthy and in bed of repairs . It honestly looked abandoned.. we found it room and upon walking in we were smacked in the face with a terrible smell of cigarette smoke in our non smoking room. The room itself was ok but Very outdated. About 10min after arriving in our room a woman and a few kids came to our door. Turned out the guy at the front desk gave them the room #he signed to us AND a key to get it THANK GOD we were there. She could have come right in! The pool advertised as with this motel is actually at the hotel next door.comeinThp W
- Gerald (8/5): - Comfortable Rome. I was booked for 3 nights. My grandson had a Legion baseball tournament Friday,Saturday and Sunday. Many inches of rain on Saturday. The tournament was canceled. The manager refunded my money for Saturday nite. That was very nice of them. It doesn’t get any better than that. 😎😎

- Danelle (4/5): Poor - Floors were very very dirty. I had to go purchase a swiffer dry/wet mop to sweep mop sweep again and was still gettiingbalot of dirt and hair. We were short a bed from what I booked. We had to check in at the BW hotel next door, pool was also with the BW not at this hotel. Tried to use the oven for a breakfast casserole and it hadent been cleaned out. Everything else was ok. Beds were not very comfortable but It was a place to rest our heads. We were only there to sleep shower eat a quick breakfast and was gone the rest of the time. The pictures were taken from the swiffer i bought and used on the floors. Very disgusting! Wont be my first choice if we are ever back in the area.

- David (10/5): Great stay - Our stay was great. We travel a lot for business and stay in a wide variety of hotels and this was amongst my best nights sleep. The room was clean and quiet. the beds were super comfortable, the bathroom was clean, big shower, good water pressure, the room had a coffee pot and a nice closet. They also offer a very nice breakfast. I highly recommended this hotel. I hope to be back.

- John (4/5): Avoid unless you are desparate. - I don't normally write things like this, I felt it necessary to warn people.. I'm not sure that this building has been renovated or updated since the Nixon administration. While the room wasn't dirty, it wasn't good. Poor mattresses, no usable outlets, no desk and the shower was awful. No curtain, just a flimsy liner, that would blow into the shower and stick to you, whenever you moved. The only saving grace was access to the breakfast buffet, pool, and other facilities, at the neigboring Best Western. I got the feeling that this hotel was being used as a shelter, by the city or the Sault Tribe, with help from Best Western.
- Jaime (2/5): - We have stayed at this property numerous times. It has now turned into what looks like a run down low income housing space. Our "mini apt" smelled of dirty, wet dog. It also had a filthy bathroom with paint splotches all over the floor and painter's tape still left on the wall. No shower for drain was clogged and filled up with water immediately. Also, massive hole in ceiling where fan should have been. There were no garbage cans except for tiny one in bathroom. Bathroom had not been cleaned as there was broken soap bars and residue on the counter. We mentioned these concerns to the man who checked us in and he basically shrugged his shoulders as he lives on the property also. I am appalled that I have to pay for such a hideous hotel experience. I will NEVER stay at this "hotel" again!!

- Emily (6/5): - It was very meh. 😑 Everything was clean but the mattresses were very old and worn and not the most clean. The sheets and bedding were very clean though. The room was large and very clean. The microwave cord was very short and could not be plugged in with the set up that existed. I had to put it on the floor and plug it in to use it. The tv only had basic channels, but I was only there to sleep. The bed was very uncomfortable and I could hear all of the noise above me and outside. I did not sleep well. I woke up at 5 am and couldn’t sleep any longer. I took a shower which the water pressure was not great but the water was hot and lasted so I didn’t mind. Then I left early.

- Adam (2/5): - I knew for the price it wouldn’t be amazing. But let me tell you when I was super surprised by the condition of the room and we walked in. Boogers, stains you name it on the walls. Me, my wife and our kids swam and left the keys and went home. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
- Dana (2/5): - I hate the whole atmosphere people drinking out side on the property it was dirty and run down no management on site never again!!!!

- Kimberly (4/5): Would not stay again - When you check in you have to walk across the parking lot to the Best Western. This is also were the pool and breakfast are, we were not aware of that. We did not see anything in the reservations that talked about it. The room was not in good shape, the beds felt and looked old. The wallpaper is coming off, the paint in the bathroom is pealing. The walls are very thin we heard our neighbors all night long, music playing and talking. I tried to up load photos but it wont let me. We are not picky, but we would not stay here again.
