- Vivian (2/5): - The room had a very wet spot at the end of the bed and floor (carpeted). The bed was squeaky and creaky and sunk to the middle. Carpet was stained and I would not take a shower the tub was so bad. The outside door had about a 1” space on the bottom that rodents could easily get in.

Old carpets and cracked linoleum (keep your shoes on), plumbing is all very old and taps are backwards and drip. We had o pay extra to have our dog with us but I felt the dog was cleaner than the room so seemed like wasted money. The bed was comfortable.

- Sandra (4/5): Motel 0-100 …the speed you should drive away! - Totally Disappointed! Went into the room after reading about renovations on this place and didn’t see anything new. The sheets were dingy off white, wrinkled, the mattress cover didn’t cover the whole mattress, the pillows were cut in half, doubled up with dingy pillowcases. The bathroom tub:shower and shower curtain was Disgusting, in fact I asked for a room with a better tub as I wouldn’t even stand in it! I brought a beach towel in covered up the pillows and slept in my clothes. Never again!!! We are travelling across Canada and definitely wanted a shower, needless to say it didn’t happen there. The hot breakfast was a continental breakfast anywhere else, some egg bites and potato wedges in a warming pan. Yuck, left and went to Tim’s. At the end of the day I learned why it’s called Motel Zero- 100… it’s the speed you see people departing this dive. Never Ever!!!

The folks running the place are friendly and seem genuinely interested in making sure your stay is decent. Just don’t go in expecting 2025 standards for hotels. It’s NOT that. It’s a safe, warm and dry place to stay when you’re on a journey. No fancy anything. Accept it and be grateful for some rest and then carry on with your life.

I understand efforts are being made to renovate/refresh. They should continue. The price was very reasonable, reflective of the current condition of the building. The location was ideal for an overnight on the way from SW Ontario to Winnipeg

We stayed for the night during a road trip so we were very exhausted; the two beds in the room we booked fit 4 adults comfortably and their air conditioner may seem outdated but it keeps the room cool. Breakfast was fairly decent, there were waffles that you can freshly make yourself, omelet bites, breakfast potatoes, a variety of bread and pastries you can toast, a bunch of spreads, coffee, orange juice, and yogurt. Our only concern was the knocking on our window at 12 in the morning; the curtains didn’t overlap each other so I guess you can see inside our room, as a group of all girls we were very concerned for our safety but there was a double lock on the door so it made us feel somewhat comforted after whoever it was outside our window tried to knock five different times. Overall, I’d recommend this motel as it is affordable and comfortable enough if you’re looking for a short term stay.

Door stick so all you hear are doors slamming every time someone goes in and out of their room, which seemed like every other minute. Can hear every conversation in hall and next door. Worst stay we have ever had.

The only reason I didn't leave is because I was dead tired and there was nothing else available. At midnight, two employees woke me up because they were in the room next to mine and they didn't care for the guests that were sleeping. They were slamming doors constantly and talking so loud that I had to ask them to be quiet. Horrible experience.

Pleased with stay but told them bathrooms off breakfast area out of toilet paper and several closed stalls. Was told they only owned building 3 months...no attempt to fill toilet rolls. Breakfast good...pleasant staff. Should be nice place to stay once improvements made. Would stay again, but not with sofa bed.

- Kaylee (6/5): - Overall, I’d rate this space an alright place to stay along your travels through Ontario. There isn’t much selection around the motel location if you’re looking for food/restaurants etc, although it seemingly is located right by a grocery store and A&W, unfortunately I didn’t have the opportunity to explore the nature and scenery (so I cannot rate based on that). The place isn’t well sound proofed so I could hear pretty well everything happening in the hallways outside my room. The furniture and space is very outdated, but also has plenty of furniture which makes eating/watching tv, lounging very simple. My room was equipped with a Roku for the Tv which made streaming easy for the evening. The a.c was not the greatest but it was indeed an option. Minor things like the side table lamp did not work, and the mini fridge froze the food I had kept inside. The bathroom was full bath (shower, bathtub, toilet and sink)… which is nice. Staff was friendly and straight forward. I cannot complain but I also wouldn’t call the experience great, especially not for the price.

Having said that, there weren't enough electric plugs, the wall under the a/c needed repairs, mold on the window sill, although there is a restaurant attached it's not functioning. BUT the bed was very comfortable, new bed linen, nice clean smell when I entered my room, new shower curtains, also a hot bkfst was available but only from 0600 to 0900. Front desk staff very helpful. Overall rate 3.5 on 10 as they're still renovating.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Adequate - Clean and comfortable and one of the more economical properties in Marathon. But it is a bit run down and in need of major refurbishment. The room was well appointed with fridge, coffee maker, microwave. The simplest thing management could do to make the place look better is to clean up the garden at the entrance. It is all weeds and makes the place look like an abandoned dump. An afternoon of work could bring in some flowers or shrubs and make the place look attractive.

Had a smell in the room damp old smell. The plugs were overloaded along with power bars. Accident waiting to happen. The bathroom towels were all stained and dirty looking. As most that stay there are workers so I can see why. The bed was actually comfortable, except one was basically right up against the AC unit. We were right beside the exit so could hear the door slamming shut constantly as workers left to work. No chain (broken off) for the door. Had good size tv , microwave and a small fridge. We didn’t make breakfast 5-9am.
