- Katie (4/5): Misleading and moldy curtain - It was overall a poor experience. We had got there after a long day out being at a concert around midnight. I had already paid online and everything and was told that any online reservation requires a 100 dollar cash deposit. And I don’t carry cash on me, it’s 2025 I use cards. Luckily my friend had exactly 100 on themselves. So yeah it was no where in the description that we needed cash for a deposit, we were told we get it when we check out in the morning. (We did get it back) anyways the cleanliness was much to be desired. We got into our room, and there was hair in the fridge, the room smelled musty. And the shower curtain had mold on it. I took a video of said shower curtain. The tv was dirty, and I saw no WiFi access ? Very poor quality. The only thing I will say was decent was the bed. The bathroom had no fan so when you take a shower be prepared for no ventilation. The room was not cleaned very well and overall I wouldn’t go again alone for the misleading and a cash deposit having to be made. Also the clerk had the audacity to ask if there was anything they needed to be aware of (as if we broke something in less than 7hrs.) as we checked out. We didn’t even bother with the breakfast, we just wanted out. I don’t think I’ll ever go back and I’ll stick with Airbnb forever.

The fruit in the baskets wear old and rotten. Biscuits were hard as a rock and the coffee creamer was outdated. Pool hours suck. We were busy with family the day we checked in so we couldn't use the pool and then the pool doesn't open till noon so we couldn't use it before checking out. People running the place can barely speak English.

For what I paid, I’d stay there again. Have low expectations (because that’s what you’re paying for) and you really won’t be disappointed here.

- Kevin (4/5): - Property location is idea for me. Close to the interstate and family. Property condition is sub-par at best from what I have seen. Hallways reek of marijuana, damage to the ceiling in the bathroom with a ball of toilet paper shoved into it to block it off. Shower becomes a bath before you finish a 10 minute shower. Bed in the room is worn out and needs replaced. Staff was really nice and hotel looks great from outside.

- Holly (8/5): - Air conditioner was new, but absolutely no water pressure in the shower. Swimming pool in hot tub were up and running and both in great condition. But the elevator was filthy and smelled awful. Beds were really comfortable, and you could see fresh paint and carpet throughout. Free breakfast in the morning is very basic with very little options. As this hotel was half the cost of anything nearby... it was definitely worth what we paid.

- Hope (8/5): - The rooms were spotless, the staff was extremely friendly. There is an elevator which is convenient. There is a hot breakfast which was pretty decent. I would recommend getting coffee from a local gas station as the coffee in the lobby is pretty weak. The only complaint is that the pool and hot tub close so early. They close at 10:00, which we were told by the desk clerk that we could go in after 10:00 as we got in late from a concert we attended. We went up to our rooms and changed and when we came downstairs at 10:05 it was a different attendant who refused to unlock the pool. Aside from that all in all it was a very pleasant stay. I definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again.

THE GOOD: The hotel and room were clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. THE BAD: (1) The entry light in the room was motion-activated and would come on every time someone walked near the door/bathroom, even in the middle of the night; and there did not seem to be a way to turn this off. (2) The shower’s water pressure was crazily low and temperature control was difficult. (3) The sample bottles of shampoo were oddly hard to get shampoo out of. (4) The elevator was out of service, so the upper floors could only be reached by stairs. (5) The pool/hot tub were being painted, so were not available. (6) There was no tea or boiled water (which we use for instant oatmeal) available at the free breakfast. There was not even water available. We ended up getting a cup, getting water from the bathroom, and heating it in the microwave. (7) Breakfast was not maintained in an ongoing basis, and offerings would just end up depleted. When we went, there were no plates available; so we used the paper bowls for everything. (8) The ice machine on the second floor (where we stayed) did not work, but there was ice available on the first floor.

The pool was decent size, only a small.section at the end was 5ft but the pain was peeling all over the pool so much that you could feel it underneath your feet. Breakfast was pretty darn good, biscuits, eggs, sausage, bacon, waffle maker and other assortments. I will say that I was taken aback when I was charged an extra 15 bucks per night per kid so my 230 deal for 2 nights turned into 320 so definitely not the best deal. Another thing that bothered me was the 100 cash deposit needed to secure the room but we did get that back without alot of hassle so that was nice Most of the staff was nice other than one attendant at the front desk who upon me asking for more shampoo and conditioner for 5 people made a comment about keeping the kids down at night and then gave me 1 more bottle of shampoo and one thing of conditioner. So overall a 3 star hotel but with a little work, has the potential to be a 4 :)

- debra (6/5): Be careful - Room was nice, not much for pillows, bathroom was big. But, An employee let himself into my room, no knocking or announcing. Closed the door behind him. Check out was 11, this was before 8. He had a slip of paper with room# & my name. Said i wasn't ready to check out yet, he won't leave. I asked what he needed, he wouldn't tell me. Told him i didn't ask for anything to be checked in the room, he said he would wait. I grabbed my things as quick as i could, not a place i would stay again.

- Ian (2/5): - I would never stay here again. Looks like a normal hotel, but full of scams. Advertised “pet friendly”, but nowhere on here or their website do they advertise that you have to buy a specific “pet room”. Nor do they mention that you have to pay $35 per pet. It was fishy, that they said it would only be $60 if I paid cash to the desk attendant. They also make you pay a $100 deposit in cash, which is wild in 2025. They give you a deposit slip that you bring when checking out, and then make you stand there and wait while they manually send someone to inspect your room before giving the $100 back. Very outdated and fishy systems for what looks like a standard hotel. Breakfast options were limited. Would definitely not stay here again despite the “good deal” it looked like. Actual price ended up being more money and a lot of haggle. Who knows if my pet fee even went to the hotel or was pocketed by the desk attendant. It also smelled in the building.

If you don't have cash, no worries-they have an ATM that will cost you $3.99 to withdraw funds. They give it back the next day but of course now you have to carry the cash. Also, kids do NOT stay free like most other hotels.

Tried to go to the pool which the paint was peeling under my kids feet and the chlorine smell was overpowering. I would not let my family stay here. 30 minutes after checking in I made another reservation at a different hotel 5 min down the street and we left. Room was gross hair and grime on the bottom of the lamps. The furniture was falling apart. There were stains on the bedding and the carpet had a thick layer of grime all over it. I wouldn’t let my kids take their shoes off. It was absolutely unacceptable. Told the employee that we’re leaving and he told me that he could not give me a refund that I had to talk to the manager in the morning. Contacted hotels.com to work out the refund and they contacted the hotel. They told hotels.com that we never check out and we were staying in the room. I had to go back to the hotel to argue with them and make sure they marked us as out of the room. They contacted them again in the morning and again said they won’t issue a refund. Met with the manager and he argued with me saying that we used the room because we pulled the bedding and found stains that he wouldn’t give me a refund out of “principle”. He kept arguing and had excuse after excuse, he finally said he would give me a refund but wouldn’t give me a receipt until I got hotels.com on the phone then magically he could print me out a receipt.

- Deborah (4/5): - The facility was very dirty. Our room was not entirely clean. The housekeeping staff tried to hide the broken ironing board in the bathroom. I’ve posted a picture.!! There was no ice bucket made available in the room and when I went downstairs to tell them in at the front desk, I need an ice bucket. He proceeded to tell me there was a nice bucket and I just needed to look more thoroughly in the room after explaining to him that I did look throughout the room and I needed a nice ice bucket. He eventually went and got me one. Other patrons on our floor, shared with me that the pool was ice. Cold in the hot tub was so over chlorinated that it made their eyes water so we did not even make use of those amenities. There was a hole in the floor underneath the air conditioner, and I was concerned about whether or not pest could get into the room. In the morning when we went to check out, there was absolutely no coffee, no hot water and only minimal food available at the so-called hot breakfast. The breakfast consisted of cold cereal no milk and hot were too waffle irons with no waffle mix to be found.! The gentleman at the front desk on the night we checked in and this morning when we checked out was very polite and that is the only positive I have to say about this hotel Whoever owns it should really invest some money and a cleaning it up and taking care of the amenities and making sure that the rooms are adequate. I would never stay here again!!

The parking is a little bit difficult as it has one way in one way out, so definitely not for someone with a trailer or Uhaul etc. The front desk guy was not very friendly. Needs a little updating but perfect for a one night stay while passing by.

- eric (6/5): Working weekend - Unfortunately like every weekend trip to work in the Kansas City area and different hotels the indoor pool was closed. This was a first one that had a sign saying not allowed to take your breakfast back to your room. This was also the first time that I had booked through hotels.com that the hotel decided that they would raise the price $20 once we arrived and I have booked our stays for years exclusively through here.

- Dan (8/5): - Staff was very professional and courteous! Place was clean, beds were comfy. Breakfast was decent; they had eggs and sausage in addition to the regular high-carb stuff, which was nice. Only nitpick is that the coffee was pretty weak, and only pre-sweetened creamers were available. No biggie, sbux close by!

- Molly (6/5): It was ok - The room was clean. But there was no hot water in the shower and the shower took for to drain. The breakfast there was not that great need more options. And Juice to drink.
