- Taylor (2/5): - Terrible stay. I was told valet parking was available, along with self parking, $38 parking overnight. This was not true. Third party valet turned us away saying hotel parking wasn’t allowed. The hotel doesn’t seem to communicate with their own valet, nor do they control their conduct on the property. Very rude staff. Hollywood tourist trap.

- Roy (10/5): - Great Hotel, The Whiskey was an experience, great art, clean rooms, amazing lobby and roof top patio. Highly recommend this hotel. Close to all the Hollywood attractions. Nice touch with a shot of Whiskey after check in.
- Daniel (6/5): - Seriously understaffed. Breakfast after a rainy night was a disaster. Two outside tables dried off gave a total of 6 tables. Dozens of people wandering around with nowhere to sit and no to go boxes. Only decaf coffee provided in room, asked housekeeping and front desk. “We are out” was the only response. Why not go and buy some pods? use the $30 you nickel and dimmed me to check in an hour early. On the plus side, quiet room and still pretty fresh feeling.

- Hector (6/5): Be cautious of hidden fees at check in and out - Clean room yet tried to charge me extra $ to check in 1.5 hrs prior to 4pm. Also only decaffeinated espresso pods in room and stated at front desk that’s all they had. 1 ply TP and non label water in room. Last was charged more $ for destination fees for two nights that they stated due to booking thru hotels.com which is absurd and taking advantage of a first time customer.

The beds were comfortable and the valet parking made it easy to come and go. Convenient location if you are interested in the night life.

- Kelly (8/5): Great location! - The location is absolutely perfect for anyone wanting to be in the middle of the tourist attractions. Room was on the small side but not a big deal. Gorgeous view of the Hollywood sign and a great rooftop bar. My only complaint is that they allow airplay on the televisions but don’t name the TVs. So, every 30 minutes or so in the evening, someone would try to airplay to our TV. We finally figured out how to turn it off. I’d also appreciate some control of the lights near the bed. Otherwise, it was a great stay!

From the time I checked in until the time I checked out, the staff was excellent, the Room, Great Free Breakfast, Big Comfortable Bed and the shower pressure is a 10 out of 10! I've been traveling quite a bit lately and without question this is one of the best experience I've had recently! Close to the Hollywood Bowl & Dodger Stadium! ...Front Desk Staff, Sun Deck Bar Staff and Valet Staff are the BEST! Without question, when I'm back in town, I'll be staying at "The Whiskey Hotel".

- Kathy (10/5): A Hollywood Experience - I stayed here for just one night after a concert at the Hollywood Bowl. The location is perfect. I loved the decor--eclectic with marbles statues to seating areas flanked with guitars. My room was clean & comfortable with a shower that I didn't want to get out of. The staff was friendly & professional. The rooftop bar offered delicious small plates & breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

The beds were comfortable and the room was large and clean. The bathroom was a great size. The location was very convenient and most attractions are within walking distance.

You can ask 3 different people the same question and get 3 different answers. Seems like they are in desperate need of a hotel manager. Having said that, I would definitely stay here again.

- Morgan (10/5): - We stayed here for our Anniversary getaway, which when I reached out to see if there was additional things we could add they did upgrade us to a bigger room which was very nice. I chose it cause it was was close to the venue we were going to that night. The area is not the greatest in Hollywood if you dont know what you are getting into by it is not horrible. The hotel itself was great, Herbert who helped us check in was absolutely amazing. However, the rest of the staff interactions were lacking. It seems like they did not want to be working there or care what was happening. Overall, it was a nice stay and we would definitely want to and will stay here again.

The staff was rude and not at all friendly and not even apologetic. I had to go back downstairs and up twice to the lobby because the key didn't work. To do this at 10pm is inconvenient and just lame - not even a sorry. Then they charge you an additional $40 for some service hotel hidden charge at check out so don't think you are getting away with a deal because they will charge you another $38 plus tax on that for parking. So whatever you got as deal - ADD $80 to your bill per day!!! Yeah, will not be coming back to this hotel. Unfortunately, since I have to come every night saturday to LA for work. Horrible customer service. Oh, amenities in the room is very bare. Coffee machine doesn't even work - had to move it to another outlet. There is nails sticking out so becareful. Bed was comfortable. It was quiet. So hence three star

- Patricia (6/5): New hotel, but already feels cheap and unready. - I booked through Hotels.com, but when I arrived the hotel couldn’t find my reservation and tried charging me more until I showed proof. Parking was $38 for “valet,” yet when I checked out there was no valet and I had to wander around an unfinished lot to find my car myself. The room was bare and disappointing—no fridge, no trash cans, no safe, no iron, only three pillows, and just sheets on the bed. For a hotel that’s only a few months old, it already feels poorly run and cheaply put together. The bar was the only redeeming feature, but overall this place is not worth the hassle or the price.

- CARLA (4/5): - The hotel was almost $300 for a 2 star hotel. The pictures are far too good and do not really reflect what the hotel looks like in reality. It’s run down but new, smells like raid but covered with pine sol, just all bad. Add to the the $40 parking and it’s just all bad. The doors to the room DO NOT shut out any noise at all and there is a big gap at the bottom. And this hotel hosts parties on the weekends as they have rooftop restaurant and dance floor. It was so loud I got maybe 3 hours of sleep. I WILL NEVER BOOK HERE AGAIN.

- Omar (2/5): - Underwhelming, and dissatisfied, one of the worst places I have stayed. I booked a specific room and was given a heap. Our bathroom was unusable we were given an accessible room for some unknown reason. When asked to move they told me they had no other rooms available and said sorry check back tomorrow. The biggest problem with the room was the shower sprayed water onto the bathroom floor causing my wife to almost slip and get injured because there’s no shower curtain or way to angle the shower head down. So it sprays full blast straight on and splashes water onto the ground outside of the tub. After she told me what had happened I went downstairs to the front desk to demand another room they said sorry you’ll have to talk to someone tomorrow they would leave a note because there are no rooms. When I asked for a manager they said no and they said they were the acting manager. When I asked who I needed to speak with tomorrow to make this right they deflected the question and said whoever is here. I’m not a confrontational person but this interaction was unacceptable brushing a guests safety off. Eventually after a heated confrontation I just asked for extra towels and they said yes. They eventually gave us another room but mine and my wife’s day was already ruined. We drove 8 hours and all we wanted was a hot relaxing shower to wind down for the night and we couldn’t even get that. Unacceptable.
- Kevin (8/5): - Very friendly staff. Hotel is still working out some kinks after only being open 4 months. Once refrigerators get into rooms, restaurant opens, it will be better. Roof top bar and continental breakfast on the rooftop were wonderful.
- Shih Wei (4/5): - Free breakfast, but most food ran out when we showed up at 8am and 9am on each day. Food not replenished. No housekeeping service. We left the hotel at 9am and back to the room at 4pm and the room was not made. We left the room again at 6pm and back at 10pm. The room was still not made. We asked the front desk for fresh towels and they brought 2 bathroom mats. The hotel is close to Hollywood walk of fame, but in the seedier and sketchier side. Not safe at night. The neighborhood reeks of urine.

The breakfast was just okay, but it had enough variety to keep us full until lunch, which was convenient. The location was ideal: walking distance to restaurants and a small grocery store. Overall, a great stay—I would definitely stay here again!

- Roxanne (10/5): Rooftop amazing! - From the moment we drove up to Valley parking the gentleman was very kind and patient with us. Checking in was wonderful people were kind and happy. Love the shot of whiskey they offer a hotel was clean and well decorated very modern. A room was wonderful. We got a room with a terrace The best part of the whole hotel was the rooftop lounge. During the day you could see the Hollywood sign during the night you can see all the LA lights. The breakfast was a really nice treat. It wasn’t your typical continental breakfast. They have plenty of hot food options. Really enjoyed this hotel. Can’t wait to come back.

- Jane Edwina (10/5): - My room was very comfortable, so was the bed and the bedding was excellent. The bathroom is wonderful. Check-in was smooth and I found the reception staff exceptionally efficient and so professional - shout out to Fernana who was so accommodating, helpful and professional. The breakfast is very good and being situated on the 7th floor rooftop dining area, it is possibly the best breakfast spot in LA!
- Chris (10/5): Fantastic! - The hotel was fantastic! We both loved the room, the colors, the decorations and the service. The only thing we wish had been different was perhaps more of a variety of hot foods for breakfast.

- Christopher (10/5): - The Whiskey Hotel is a new property with comforting, well designed rooms, super convenient location off Hollywood Blvd and a standout staff that delivers. The rooftop breakfast is a nice perk to fuel your day. I do think having bacon or sausage links would make it perfect tho. - Jessica (10/5): - We looked for somewhere to stay that would give us a different feel than a chain and Whiskey Hotel did not disappoint. From driving in to the hotel and seeing the gorgeous paintings in the lobby, our welcome shot of whiskey, up to our Hollywood sign view room we were in love with our choice. We enjoyed the rooftop bar after the concert and the assortment of breakfast the next morning made for a cute start to the day. We will stay here again in the future!

- Tracilee (8/5): Lovely boutique hotel - This new hotel is beautiful and I mean beautiful! It is a boutique type of hotel and gorgeously decorated. The staff was very friendly. The showers were amazing. The roof top patio was lovely and free breakfast was good. The bed was a little too firm for us and there were no extra pillows. The terrace was a simple cement pad with 2 chairs… no view and not very private. We had a connected room and unfortunately the people in the other room were very loud and we could hear everything they said. Same for people in the hallway. Provide sound proofing, add extra pillows, and fancy up the terraces and this place would be hard to beat! It really has so much potential.

Hotel does not provide do not disturb sign and housekeeping walked in on me unclothed 2) housekeeping didnt even wipe the sink or toilet btw nights **moved rooms bc of noisy guests (not hotel's fault except that generally promote drinking, offering shots at checkin) 3) new room, got into bed at 1:30 am & the untrained housekeeping short sheeted the bed by over a foot (& there wasn't a mattress cover). They didn't offer to remake the bed, instead only offered me sheets to remake my own damn bed at, then, almost 2am!! ***Bonus, they charge an extra "amenities fee " and originally lied and said it was a tax, before i pointed out that taxes should be about $30, not $65

- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice H - The hotel was located in a wonderful location if you'd like to visit Hollywood boulevard! ! We were able to walk from the hotel to the strip to avoid driving in the traffic! The hotel was nicely renovated! The only thing that we found really hard was knowing where to park.There needs to be a sign where you pull in for parking and where you go to enter the hotel ! We had a hard time figuring that out! It was on the left side of the building. You go into the building to locate the lobby Entrance and valet parking! The staff were very friendly! The only thing you did not like is there was no mini fridge in the room and when we asked for a extra pillow it took an hour to have it delivered to a room.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Female Solo Traveler - They went above and beyond, they gave me an early check in, upgraded my room for free and made any accommodation I asked. Friendly staff and it is decorated really cool. I am so glad I picked this hotel.
- Crystal (10/5): - I was a little hesitant with other not so great reviews BUT very happy to say our stay was great. We got shots of whiskey upon arrival, hotel is very cute and clean, our room was perfect - we did have a fridge, we did have 2 chairs on our patio, I knew there wasn't a hairdryer or iron so I brought my own hair dryer and ironed my clothes before. There were only 2 pillows and I called for more and they came within 10 minutes - our room wasn't cleaned during our 2 night stay but I did call for more towels and they too came within 10 minutes. If you need ice you do have to go down to the front desk. You do have to pay for vallet but it was $40 which was cheaper than self-parking at other places in the area I stayed. And yes they put a $300 hold on your card and then there is a destination fee, I didn't care as our stay ended up being great - we walked to the Hollywood bowl and to the many bars and restaurants around the hotel. There was no food in the bar/restaurant at night only drinks, breakfast was not bad. Beds are more on the firm side. Only thing that could be better would be more than 2 hangers in the closet and the vallet when we arrived did not assist us getting our luggage out or even bringing us the luggage cart, the other vallet man we saw the rest of the weekend was amazing and helpful.
