- Joy (10/5): Perfect Vacation - This property is brand new, grounds are kept nicely and every room faces the gulf. We had a standard suite that had a generously sized bathroom, microwave, sink, dishwasher and fridge with freezer. The balcony was equipped with two chairs and a small table and we spent a lot of time there enjoying the beautiful views and sunset. Each day at around 3:00 they put fresh baked cookies in the pantry on each floor. Cookies were very good. The pantry also provides mini bags of ice that can be kept in the freezer in your room. Pantry had fresh fruit everyday as well as a game closet. We arrived well before check-in but our room was ready and we were allowed to check in. We had a late flight home and they gave us late checkout at 1:00. Very accommodating. Every person we interacted with was pleasant, helpful and appear to be genuinely happy with the their jobs. The sister property has an awesome patio, The Sand Bar with gulf front seating and amazing sunsets. That is a must visit. Pool service was consistent. Note about pool - the pool is completely shaded until 11:15AM. Not a big deal we just moved around. The property was at a low occupancy so pool chairs were plentiful. Clearwater Beach was an amazing place to spend a week as a couple just relaxing and Opal Sol is a resort I would return to.

The dining options were great and I loved that we could walk through the breezeway to Opal Sands and use their accommodations and restaurants as well. The only negative is there is no private beach so be prepared to pay for your own chair and umbrella at the public beach. The public beach is just across the street which is very convenient. I would recommend and rebook if Iām ever in the area again.

- Abby (2/5): Not pleased. - Donāt book with them unless it is for yourself. They do not disclose on third party sites that the card and persons id must be present upon checkin. Then they charge your card each day over price that the room actually cost. Then justify it by saying theyāre just holding the funds which keeps you from being able to access said funds on your trip. What was supposed to be a carefree weekend was nothing but stress.

- Jason (10/5): Great time at Opal - My family and I loved our stay at Opal Sol. We had stayed multiple times at Opal Sands and love the property. We wanted to give Opal Sol a chance and it really surpassed all of our expectations. We loved that our room had a little kitchenette that was great for the kids and us. The room was good size and as always overlooked the beach. It was great that we were able to utilize the pools at both resorts. We also were able to get a reservation for Drift one night and the food and ambiance was top notch.

- Jade (10/5): Wonderful Hotel - Opal Sol is a wonderful hotel, the rooms are beautiful with each room having a balcony and sea view over Clearwater beach. The pools are fantastic, clean and warm with plenty of sunbeds available so it didnāt ever feel too crowded. The staff are wonderful and the Restaurants on property are all great, breakfast at Toast is excellent and dinner at Sea Guinii in the sister hotel Opal Sands was really wonderful. If you are staying at Opal Sol you can enjoy the pools at Opal Sands which was a real bonus as personally I preferred the pools in this hotel. There were only a few minor downsides which in the grand scheme of things, really were minor but small improvements really could level this hotel up from being wonderful to exceptional. There are a lack of parasols around the pools and pool chairs, in the blazing hot Florida sun, an umbrella is really needed. There were no products in the bathroom (Shower gel, Shampoo or Conditioner) for a nice hotel I found this a little strange. There is nowhere to shower on property if you have a late flight home and you are sticking around to enjoy the pool and beach ahead of your flight, this is something that for me personally when Iām travelling is really important, the hotel staff were really accommodating and did offer a late check out but in my opinion it should be a standard offering. If I come back to Clearwater in the future I wouldnāt hesitate to book Opal Sol again.

- Besnik (4/5): - we were told 10pm to leave pool and then after clean up we could use are and jacuzzi again the security comes up at 10pm then we go back in quietly after 11pm security comes in yelling like a power trip guy i told him nicely we will leave and explained to him that if we were not told to get in we would of left he flat out goes to me stop f.... lying to me just leave or i have you trespassed i was shocked to hear that and the bar employees as well when i was telling them that i wont be back here anymore i go every two weeks and stay with friends and family we spent almost 6k for 2 days to be basically bullied from a idiot like he was its sad because all that investment there and telling people yeahh we don't care you paid high dollar amount a night we trespass you if you don't follow my command as asked i just keep going back to sandp. and the opal next door theres no kicking out there if you're respectful and having a good time quietly

While we did save a bit by dining out on occasion, the hotelās dining options were delicious and paired with outstanding service. Overall, we highly recommend Opal Sol for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable vacation spot.
