Guest Reviews
- jon (6/5): - Room was not up up date, closet space was broke. A few burn or discolored marks on the bed sheets and pillows.
Load music way past midnight.. breakfast is 6 minutes away as they only did continental.
Outside was a mess and needed cleaning up cans and crap still on tables
- Lyndsey (4/5): - Location is good if going to Winter Gardens other than this would not recommend. Property is in dire need of renovation. Breakfast was terrible.
Bar was poorly stocked, draught lager was flat. Walls are really thin so can hear tv in next room and entertainment which went on until 2:45am :-(
- Lucia (10/5): - Very close to the theatre which was perfect for us.
- Cassandra Louise (8/5): - Shops and Blackpool tower nearby. Guests was loud all night and the fire alarm went off at 2am for ages so everyone panicked. Clean room, dated but ok. Staff was friendly but we couldn't find anyone when we wanted to check out.
- Martin (8/5): - It was ok but it was a bit disappointing, no hot breakfast, no room service and we felt that we were the only people here, we used the bar 3 nights ,we were on our own.
- Ian (4/5): Not what it looks like on the photos - I can honestly say who ever did the reviews must of been drunk and had beer googles on or was lying. The photos are nothing like what the actual hotel looks like. The interior could 100% do with a make over and a dam good clean. It doesn’t take a lot to do a full clean. Carpets definitely need a clean didn’t see a carpet without a stain god was what was on it. Would I stay here again would I hell.
- Clare (6/5): - it was close to city centre and train station not not child or disabled friendly
- christine (10/5): Blackpool - Fab stay
- Angela (6/5): - Triple room. 1 coat hanger for 3 people. Asked for more coat hangers and extra towels. None arrived. Pillows too hard. Bathroom very small.
Good points , nice hot shower.
- Peter (6/5): - The rooms could do with a deep clean especially the shower
- Sidrah (4/5): - Maybe a two star at a push, very very very dated and run down and the area is horrific, avoid Blackpool in general and every hotel around this vicinity
- Nuno (2/5): - Very dirty room , clearly cleanliness is not their first priority, poor maintenance loose ligths , screws poking from headboard, broken blinds , toilets smaller , food for breakfast was bad to, £22 for continental breakfast and I got tiger bread from Lidl no sugar for the coffee only sweetener available most food was budget, last evening and morning we skipped breakfast as dirty water was pouring from ceiling next to food , no effort was made to move the breakfast food away from dripping dirty water , just check out and run off , as far I am concerned never book this place again .
- Alan (6/5): - Entrance steps
- clsire (10/5): - fantastic hotel
entertainment great
- pamela (2/5): - Service was terrible the room was really bad the floor was creaky the beds are uncomfortable dirty towels leaking sync tall it didn't flush properly absolute nightmare
- Kerry (6/5): - Rooms need updated. Bin wasn’t emptied. bathroom needs updated. We were 7 mins early for check in and had to wait outside. Good location and very quiet
- Vincent (10/5): - Great value
- Joan (10/5): - Had a lovely stay. The room was clean and comfortable. Just what I needed the staff for ever so kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Enjoy a quiet drink in the bar in the evening. Very pleasant, would happily stay again.
- Anthony (10/5): - Loved it... Room was clean & spacious- did the job. Bed was comfy, had a good sleep. Staff were chill, helped when we asked, no drama. Bar was decent, not too loud, had a laugh. Solid place, no hype.
- Tyisha (10/5): - Me n my cuz rolled up, Gresham rocked. Room was neat, beds soft. Staff- sweet, helped like fam. Felt safe, felt good. Bar was lit, sippin n gigglin till late. Lil escape we needed. Bless up x
- Lauren (10/5): - Fantastic hotel.Very friendly staff.Great room with comfy bed,hot shower and good tea & coffee facilities. The bar area was excellent with live music and karaoke at weekends.
- Leigha (10/5): - Was my first trip to Blackpool, stay at Gresham was very nice. Room small but clean and warm. Staff super kind, always helping with smile. The bar was fun place, good music and cold beer. I enjoy much — good value for young traveller!
- Lyndia (10/5): - First time in Blackpool, stayed at Gresham — room was cute and clean, bed comfy. Staff were lovely, made us feel safe and welcome. Bar downstairs was fun, had a lil dance and few cheeky drinks. Felt like home but better. Loved it x
- Lloyd (10/5): - Room was proper tidy, staff dead friendly, always smilin’. Bar was bang on, good drinks, good laugh. Felt well looked after. Defo comin’ back, cheers lads!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The toilet sounded like a ship fog horn and the room vibrated when you flushed. It was so bad that we couldn’t use the toilet during the night as it would have woke everyone up.
- Jalon (10/5): - Sound place, this! Proper tidy rooms, staff well sound, and dead close to the seafront. Bang on for a weekend away – wouldn’t hesitate to book again, mate
- Lelah (10/5): - One of the Best Hotels in the City Centre. Hotel has been recently renovated and is on an excellent location. Room was clean and comfortable while the staff was friendly and helpful. Would surely recommend this Hotel to all my known.
- Mose (10/5): - Great Location - Warm Staff - Cosy Rooms
Loved it ❤️
- michael (10/5): - Exallent
- John (10/5): - Staff were really friendly enjoyed our 2 nights there
- Adrian (8/5): - Very friendly staff / clean room. Just needs a hot cooked breakfast on offer.
- Sarah (10/5): - Just back from another girly weekend at The Gresham Hotel with me mum and daughter – we’ve stayed before and wouldn’t go anywhere else. You can’t beat the location – right in the centre, bang opposite the Winter Gardens. Ideal for shows, shops, and everything’s just a short walk.
The hotel’s full of charm – proper old building with character, and the staff are lovely and welcoming.
Breakfast is continental and help-yourself – toast, croissants, cereals, fruit, tea and coffee. Does the job nicely before heading out for the day.
Rooms are spacious, beds are comfy, and you’ve got your tea and coffee bits in the room. Always clean and cosy – perfect for a weekend break.
Already booked again for 2026 – can’t wait to be back!
- Iris (10/5): - Very nice hotel with old-style feeling, just opposite Winter Gardens – location 很方便 (very convenient). Staff are friendly, room is 干净 (clean) and comfortable, and breakfast has good variety – we are 很满意 (very satisfied) and will come again!
- amanda (10/5): - At first I thought this place would be small but when I reached this Hotel it was a huge Hotel opposite Winter Gardens. The entry was very artistic and there was a beautiful garden with lots of sitting space outside and inside. Bar was very modern but I dont drink so had a few J2Os. Rooms were very clean and beds very comfortable, I could not find a single flaw in this Hotel. Breakfast had extensive varieties in Continental with fruits, yoghurts, croissants, cereals, juices, different varieties of breads, +much more healthy options. Pool area was also nice. Complete value for money. Definitely coming back with my friends to celebrate my birthday next year.
- Samantha (10/5): - At first I thought that for the price I have paid I would be getting just my moneys worth. But I was surprised by it being the Biggest Hotel opposite Winter Gardens. I saw a major upgrade in the property since I last came here. I loved playing pool in the games room next to the lobby and enjoyed a drink at the bar. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. I also visited Pleasure Beach and had a fantastic break. Definitely going back next year to celebrate my moms 25th anniversary.
- Martin (10/5): - Convenient Location, Great Staff and Comfortable Rooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Will come again soon.
- Olly (10/5): - Rooms were extremely nice. We enjoyed the stay at the hotel as the staff was very helpful. Location is excellent.
- Alan (10/5): - Everything was great the room was a good size and clean the management and staff very helpful and friendly the location was perfect
- Thomas (10/5): - Rooms were extremely clean and nice. Staff was very patient and helpful. We had forgotten our phone in the Bar and the Manager made sure we received it back. Hotel is nicely done up and Location is just perfect. Thank you for the lovely time.
- Robert (10/5): - Exceptional Staff, Nice Clean Rooms, Location is Superb. Comfortable Beds, Full Value for Money.
- Ashley (10/5): - Great Location, Huge Parking right in front of Property. Rooms have been recently renovated- very pleasant and comfortable. Would definitely recommend and visit again soon.
- Danielle (2/5): - We booked to stay at this property for 2 nights, for a dance competition. However, we had to leave after the first night. The room was infested with bed bugs. We woke up in the middle of the night to the bed crawling in bugs. I had to pick the bugs off my daughter. We don’t have just a couple of bites, we are practically covered in bites from head to toe and my daughter has had a severe reaction.
After complaining to the manager, he initially denied that there was an infestation and refused to issue a refund. When I went back up to the room to remove our belongings, I asked the manager to come up to the room so I could show him the bugs. He refused to come up and instead sent the cleaner up.The cleaner was lovely and was absolutely horrified when I lifted the mattress and there were at least 30 bugs crawling. This was in the daytime. She took pictures of the bugs to show the manager herself. The manager then had the audacity to accuse us of sabotage and planting the bugs there ourselves.
I have since had a full refund. Our weekend has been completely ruined and we’ve had to throw out belongings as I don’t want my home to be infested. I will be taking this further!!!
- Aprana (10/5): - Exceptional Value for Money- Clean & Spacious Rooms - Good Breakfast - Staff Very Nice
- Susan (10/5): - Loved the Location and the newly decorated Rooms. Staff was nice & we got a nice Continental Breakfast.
- Carolina (4/5): Dissatisfied - The welcome was friendly and the check in process very efficient.
The room was clean.
We visited on one of the hottest days if the year and was disappointing not to be able to open a window as these were painted closed. No fans were available. Hot water pipes ran directly behind the headboard which added to the problem.
The bathroom was clean but in poor repair.
Guests in the next room were clearly smoking illegal substances, this was reported and reception said they would look into it.
The bar was well equipped and playing loud music until 1am despite there being no one in there.
- Roxy (10/5): - Loved the location and the vibe of the Hotel. We had a great time. Good staff and great rooms.
- Anna (6/5): - Convenient location to the opera house
Basic facilities
In need of refurbishment
Nice bar to relax in at the end of the night
Got a brick wall view even though we felt the only guests staying :(

- Ronney (10/5): - Truly enjoyed. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Kevin at the bar made some refreshing cocktails. Overall staff was very courteous and welcoming. Hotel has been recently renovated and has a very pleasant ambience. Full value for money.
- Diana (10/5): - Hotel has been recently renovated and centrally located. Staff was excellent. Stacy at the reception was extremely sweet. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Will surely visit again next month.
- Mustafa (2/5): - Do not recommend, photos not as advertised. Karaoke bar downstairs was loud and late into the night. Tidiness was poor with broken amenities. Fresh paint smell was strong throughout the room. Business was unwilling to refund or partially refund as suggested by Expedia.
Expedia was unable to help any further.
- ROSS (4/5): False Advertising - The name on the outside of the building does not mention Gresham Hotel at all. They have photo shopped this onto the photo shown on Hotels.com. Instead on the building is Comfort Inn. So it was hard to find at first as we were confused with the name. It is not living up to the name of being Comfortable!
- Lisa (10/5): - My family and I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were big, clean, and very comfortable — perfect to relax after a day out. Beds were cozy, and everything we needed was there.
The best part was the location — right in the center of Blackpool! We could walk to most places, like the beach, shops, and restaurants, which made things super easy.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast had good variety for both adults and kids.
Overall, a great experience. We’d happily stay here again!
- Tina (10/5): - I stayed here with my partner and we had a great time! The room was clean, comfy, and newly done up — just right for a relaxing break.
The location is perfect, right across from the Winter Gardens, so everything was within walking distance.
The best part of our stay was the evening at the hotel bar. We had so much fun at karaoke and really enjoyed the friendly vibe. Special thanks to Kevin at the bar who made us some amazing cocktails — he really added to the experience!
The staff were all lovely and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip to Blackpool!
- Ricky (10/5): - I had a splendid time. The Location was exceptional and the Bar had some good music and drinks. Many Thanks to Stacy and Kevin who really made sure we had a good time. 100% Recommended :)
- Gary (8/5): - Nice stay, barman Kevin top lad, hamad was also fun, did kareoke, late drink, great location
- Rachel (2/5): Wouldn’t stay there again - Got to room that had dirty used towels on the floor and used cups that where half full of used drinks..other than that was tidy..was woken up at 6 in the morning from work noise on the street..we decided to come home and only stayed the one night instead of the 2 we paid for
- Alison (6/5): Great for a night out - Great location next to winter garden.. beds were very comfortable but room & bathroom in need of updating,
- David (4/5): Don’t stay here !!! - Hotel looked ok from the outside . Checked in and given a small double with a tiny bathroom . Window wouldn’t stay open , toilet wouldn’t flush ( broken) and hadn’t been flushed for a while . Got given a new bigger room , slightly better , tiny shower with poor water pressure , dirt fell from bathroom window , room clean but very tired , mattress was comfy so not all bad . Had to slam door shut to close due to it not fitting properly . Hairdryer hadn’t been checked since 2022 , no toiletries despite advertising , no housekeeping so all in all very disappointing
- Collette (4/5): Dont expect your room look like internet photos - So i booked going off pictures off the Internet booking big mistake the room was small , stained celin , scaffolding outside the window had no view apart from scaffolding, like a mini box room , heating on constantly , smelt , the bed was hard pillows lumpy , toilet was tiny not a good stay at all couldnt wait leave , 3 towels was tiny no toiletries etc
- steven (10/5): Different name - Took 20 minutes to find hotel because it has changed names, and NO sign in windows to say this was formally gresham hotel,it is now called comfort,
