Game room with plenty of smoke-free seating and a pool table make this a hotel that we will definitely include in our travel plans again in the future. Rooms/beds were comfortable and bathroom was the cleanest we have found. Staff was very pleasant and immediately addressed minor issue (battery replacement in TV remote).
- william (6/5): Not worth it - For a Hilton I was not super impressed with this place. Being right next to the freeway the road noise was super loud. The beds all had polyester sheets, at least give me some cotton. The polyester was hot and slippery. The soaps and amenities provided in the room were the cheapest possible. and there was no coffee maker nor tea kettle in the room, not even a bottle of water was provided. I expected more for the price and from a Hilton honestly. I would not stay here again.

- Christine S. (10/5): - My husband, our dog Max, and I travel I-95 from Virginia to Florida 3-5 times a year. Along the route we often find dog-friendly hotels and dog-designated rooms are often a little “doggie”—that is smelly, not as clean as we’d like, and often in need of updating 😵💫 This is the case across reputable mid-range brands, in part, because of high volume along I-95. Over the past couple of years we’ve found the TRU hotel brand and have been impressed. The nice new TRU just off I-95 in Lumberton is an excellent example! It is light, spacious, and well maintained. It is right off the highway and it a convenient stop because of other nearby grocery and pharmacy shopping, dining, gas, etc.

- Timothy (2/5): Complete Garbage,brand new and should be shut down - Place needs to be shut down. Brand new bldg, as soon as you walk in the counters are bubbling up and need replacing. Checked into our room, TV didn’t work, refrigerator to store my shots in did not work, none of the outlets worked. I took a shower only to come out to the bedroom floor flooded from the shower. Went to the front desk, advised them of all the issues and that I will not be staying there. They promised a refund within 5 days. I had to go down the street and stay at Spring Hill suites (100% recommend). Now that I’m home from vacation after 2 weeks I am dealing with Tru by Hilton because they never processed my refund. If you call the call center they are unable to get an answer via phone to that location so now they have to open a case and say I’ll hear “something” within 72 hours. Will never stay at a Tru By Hilton again

- Mary jo (6/5): - My 76 year old husband had to make five trips to our room because the hotel only had 4 or. 5 carts on a Friday night and people kept them in their room for the next morning check-out. How do we know? At 8:00AM on Saturday, there was only one cart there. Someone must have checked out. Thank goodness that he didn’t have to make the same number of trips. He has a new hip and needs a new knee. I use a mobility scooter, so I am not much help. The hotel either more carts or a GPS on those carts to see where they are. Disabled and elderly people need help and businesses need to consider that. Hold one cart for such patrons or get more carts. I was truly concerned for his health and feared that he would pass out in the heat. And no microwave? We were exhausted and just wanted to heat some leftovers in the room. Do we need to consider the next level hotel for such amenities? We were just traveling from our place in Florida to our home in Pennsylvania and just needed to spend the night. The breakfast was good.

The breakfast had many varieties of processed food--but REAL plates and flatware. (Loved the real NYC style bagels). However, NOBODY cleaned our room. When we got in thta night, I had to request that the trash be emptied and some clean towels. There is a door sign to notify of pets in the room and to tell housekeeping NOT to bother (you) now---but NO SIGN that says please clean this room. Again, the front desk reps were more than helpful and gave us clean towels and emptied the trash. This is no way to run a new hotel.

Even the breakfast was great- make your own waffles! The rest of the food was freshly made and there was a big selection of options. And the price was right. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is brand new so it is totally up to date. Has a nice lounge area with pool table. The facilities were very clean and staff was friendly

I have two teenage kids who would not sleep in the same bed. I was assured that we would get a caught, but when we came, the woman who was checking us and told me that the room could not accommodate one that it would be a fire hazard In the end, she did give us a cot, and the room was quite large but at 3 o’clock in the morning this was not the hassle that I needed

- Robert (10/5): - Great Pet-Friendly Hotel! We had a great one-night stay. The only improvement needed is the shampoo and conditioner. We ran out of conditioner, and there was no soap in the shower (only skin moisturizer). The dispensers were hard to use with little product in them. Everything else was great and top-notch.

- Kevin (8/5): - This is a brand new hotel and very clean. Conveniently located near a lot of restaurants and shopping. The only problem is that it is right next to I-95 and I could hear the traffic which kept me awake.
- Leila (10/5): - Everyone at this place was so nice and helpful. It’s our second stay at a Tru and I actually look for them now. The place is lovely, it was clean and had plenty of everything. What also impressed me was the selection of treats they have for dogs AND cats. Most of us who either have both or just cats, know that cats aren’t the most welcome guests even if they’re well behaved and you’re responsible for cleaning up after them-they have a “reputation.” So to find a place that not only accepts them staying with you but also provides amenities for THEM, was actually very touching and a HUGE plus in my opinion.
