Guest Reviews
- Kathleen (8/5): - Great room, great breakfast and staff. The check-in procedure was odd, as there's no office onsite nor is the hotel name on the building. You'll need to make appointment to meet with the hotel owner for him to give you your key and code.
- Michael (10/5): Lovely B&B in Skagway - Large, comfortable room and bathroom. The place was well kept. The owners were very pleasant. The Inn was located in the center of town. I flew in. The Inn was a 5-7 walk. I will recommend and will stay again.
- Joan (10/5): Beautiful and authenticate building. - The building gives you the feel of 1900 but with all the modern amenities. Beautifully maintained.
- Tammy (8/5): - I like that we had a large bathroom and a nice sized closet in room 1.
This is a Bed and Breakfast not a hotel. Wish we had access to an ice machine. Sue made us the same breakfast every day. She remembers what we requested on day 1.
- Tammy (8/5): - The beds were comfortable. Only had one pillow per bed and I like two for myself. I asked the woman who served breakfast for more pillows and she was happy to get them and bring them to us. Shower fan is loud and rattling.
I like the woodwork.
There are no screens on the windows and no way to circulate air in the room. We opened the windows and a couple flying insects came in.
Breakfast was nice. I mentioned I eat a gluten free and dairy free, no egg diet. I had sausage, oatmeal, OJ and coffee. My sister had eggs and sausage. Apples and oranges were available as well as yogurt and snack bars.
- Sarah (8/5): Skagway - We're on a two month road trip and I booked this place in February for an August visit.
Pros: Sizeable room with a view of the main street in town (fun to people watch but dont be a creep). We had a small mini fridge and microwave as well. Think of this as more of a bed and breakfast than standard hotel. Breakfast was available from 7am to 8 am and included coffee, oatmeal, cereal, fruit, yogurt, juice, as well as eggs and sausage. What a nice surprise to get our day started! It was very quiet despite being on the main drag and the bed was very comfortable. The central location is perfect for strolling in any direction.
Cons: This place is hard to find. Bob reached out before we got there giving me directions to the building but I struggled finding the front door. *The door is up the stairs in the back but you need Bob to let you in and once checked in, you'll get a code to come and go as you please.*
Observations: It's a bit old school (Bob wrote my credit card number down on a 3x5 card. I'm assuming for any incidentals since I had pre-paid thru Hotels dot com? I'm trusting he will shred that). There is no elevator so pack thoughtfully.
- Maria (10/5): - Beautiful large rooms and lovely deck with fabulous views. Super quiet and clean!!
- Val (10/5): - Not like a hotel, more like home.
- Michael (10/5): - This was a very historic building right in the center of Skagway, AK. It had been beautifully renovated and wonderfully updated. The room was beautiful and very comfortable.
- Brandon (10/5): - Just remodeled and looks great. Comes with homemade breakfast. Wonderful stay!
- Garth (10/5): - Very old building brought back to life and done well
