Guest Reviews
- Shervonda (6/5): - Renovation needed will be nice once renovations are completed
- Andrae (2/5): - So this is my second time here I guess it’s 3 hotels in one that don’t change the hotel or staff. I left a very expensive pair of bone conduction earbuds I hadn’t been anywhere else since I left the hotel all my stuff was still in the car but it wasn’t there. They claim they didn’t find them but I don’t believe there no way they just got up and disappeared I wouldn’t recommend this place they never even took steps to try to rectify the situation if your gonna party and get messed up ya that’s the place to go.
- Brittany (2/5): - Our room was full of fruit flies. Our blind won’t go up. We didn’t have an outlet cover. I got bit by something. It was terrible
- Terri (2/5): - As I approached the property one of the first things I noticed was the drapes in the rooms were tattered and looked as if the property could be abandoned. I went to check in and the women in front of me was loudly expressing her discontent with the pictures shown on the website and the reality of the property. We were in town for a Michigan State football game and there was nothing available unless you wanted to spend $350. a night. The front desk said we would be in the newly renovated area... As we walked to the back of the building through a long, dark hallway, I noticed the doorknobs were gone and metal locks secured the doors to some of the rooms.
The side door to enter the building was NOT secure. When we came back after dinner (it was dark) there were several workers hanging out by a huge construction trash bin drinking beer and smoking. I felt uncomfortable. Our room may have had some renovations, but the work was shotty and the room was dirty. The top sheet on my side had a cigarette burn, the walls had areas where they were bubbled. The worst part was our view of the courtyard. No exaggeration it looked like something you see in the movies the majority of the building was empty, some windows boarded up. I have pictures but there wasn’t a way to attach them. Believe me I called all the hotels and there was nothing available for a reasonable rate.
- Madeline (10/5): - The management & staff @ Delta West were superb! Their professionalism, courtesy, & customer service compared to or exceeded 5-star hotels I've stayed at.
Bravo! And keep up the great work.
- Amy (4/5): This hotel is in its rebirth era! - The signs on the hotel did not match the name on the booking, making it difficult to know if you are entering the correct building. There is trash and building materials in the parking lot, making parking difficult.
The inside of the hotel is out of date and sloppy but clean. The room we stayed in had been updated and was nice. THE BEDS ARE VERY VERY FIRM, but it has great pillows.
Don't waste your time with breakfast, while it was not terrible, it was not good. The eggs seem like they are made from powder. We ended up getting breakfast elsewhere after our first visit.
I would not stay here again if I could avoid it. The price does not currently match the accommodations.
- Vijay (8/5): - It is a good property for a night. They are under renovation so has some unfinished areas that are dusty.
- gurpreet (2/5): - I would never stay here again...dirty
- Stacey (8/5): - Hotel is being renovated and looks like they are not doing the best job. Breakfast was ok. Stay was just ok
- Theresa (10/5): - Hotel is under construction. But the room was clean. Management needs to pay attention to small details. We only had 1 washcloth in our bathroom. Also, the breakfast, while nice, you were not permitted to take food to your room. You had to eat in the designated area. Signs were posted in elevator saying you would receive a $20 charge if they found food in your room from the breakfast.
- Jerry (2/5): - No shower curtain, room was located a long distance
- Jennifer (6/5): - Doesn’t look very appealing from outside, lots of construction both out and in. Room was decent.
- Alexander (6/5): - Hotel was in general disrepair. Continental breakfast was mediocre. Eggs, sausage, potatoes seemed to have been recycled from the day before. Overall fine experience for the cost.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A comfortable labyrinth. - The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The TV was large and nice but the channel selection is absolutely terrible. The breakfast selection was pretty lacking but I do appreciate it was free. Ice machines were nearly impossible to find in the maze of halls. At least one finally worked.
- Logan (2/5): - They gave a stranger my room
- Inez (8/5): - Super nice staff
- Gary (6/5): - Pool was "temporarily " closed as was the spa/sauna. Not sufficient plug in or lighting, at bed stand. Clearly under construction/renovations. Tickets were issued for "complimentary" breakfast, the handicap room was the furthest from the dining room/pool, ice machine and lobby/ snackbar. 2 day stay room was not remade and the floor was dirty, as well as slippery when wet ie. Shower.
- frederick p (8/5): They've Got a Ways to Go... - I've stayed here a few months ago. It's good. Most rooms have recently been renovated: clean, new fresh bed linen and towels. The bed is comfortable. The property is still pretty rough, but underway. Nice variety on the free breakfast offerings.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Wonderful shower pressure
- Brian (2/5): - I was charged more than the reservation price and eventually was able to get a credit, but still have not been reimbursed the security deposit.
They could not provide me with a receipt, said to contact Hotels.com
Hotel is now named Ramada so caused confusion trying to locate.
Hotel is very run down. I see they are renovating, but tons of work required on this place.
- Nancy (8/5): - The staff was very friendly. The beds were comfortable. The room could use a little repair. The second floor ice machine was not working so when went down to get ice from the front desk she gave s tiny bag of ice. It was enough for two cup. The problem there were 4 of use.
- ShaCaria (4/5): - The first room I booked, had a leftover food and containers in the refrigerator and the bed was dirty and then went to retrieve another room and the keys did not work and then I went to retrieve the right keys to find out that my microwave refrigerator lamps TV and everything did not work on that side of the rooms
- frederick p (8/5): SUPRISED! - Driving up, at first I questioned my choice. The exterior was very unkept-the grounds overgrown. Upon entering, I could see interior renovation was underway. At check in, there were several ahead of me-the clerk apologized for the delay and upgraded me to a first floor king room. It was nice. The bed was very comfortable...the climate control efficient...the bathroom clean=plenty of new towels! The morning breakfast area was clean with a pleasing hot/cold food presentation. I say Bravo for an exceptional over all experience!
- Samuel (2/5): - Was a clean room but building was rundown
- Constance (4/5): - The property was recently purchased by another chain and is in dire need of renovation. In addition to this, pets are also allowed and a dog could be heard barking most of the night.
- Phil (4/5): - Hotel is in despair. No housekeeping. We stayed for 2 nights, i had to bring my dirty towels to the front desk to exchange for clean towels. Hotel is old and in desperate need of a proper renovation. They said my room was renovated, I'd hate to see the non renovated rooms. Place smelled of smoke, dirty. My bathroom door had dry blood (or whatappeared to be) in various spots. I dont recommend staying here, when theres other options close by.
No signage either. This hotel will become 3, Ramada, Best Western Plus and Delta Lansing.
- John (6/5): - This hotel was a Ramada ! I stayed here two weeks ago and its name was and is Clarion !
Lansing Delta west does not exist!
I would not have booked this hotel if I had known it was the Clarion !
- Adrian (8/5): - I'm not sure there is anything unique here. Was disappointed that the hot tub was out of order. The pool was nice, and the room it was in was pretty warm.
- Jhvoir (10/5): - Rooms were clean. Fresh linen. I am disabled and I was offered a wheelchair for my stay.
- Ashley (8/5): - I never received my deposit back and I was charged twice!!
- John (4/5): - The hotel is quite misleading. I booked for the “Lansing Delta West” but that hotel does not seem to actually exist. The address given leads to no building. After searching around and calling the number we discovered that the hotel is actually something else. It has a Ramada sign, but also a Clarion sign, and also some Wyndham branding. When I asked about the “Lansing Delta West” when checking in I was told that it is going to be a renovated part of the hotel that is planned but not open, so instead we were given rooms that were not renovated. The rooms were very dated and looked nothing like what is in the pictures on Expedia. They were reasonably clean, though. It also appeared like there may be more or less permanent residents there, almost like an SRO, as some rooms had decorations like “Happy Easter” on their doors. My main complaint was really that it is not at all what is shown on Expedia—wrong name, wrong address, and incorrect images representing rooms that are not available.
- Asia (2/5): - I booked a room for leisure, after paying for the room, and the damages fee, I was notified that the plumbing would be unavailable for 4 hours. When voicing. My concerns with staff I felt ignored and uncared for. She didn’t tell me this prior to checking me in to give me the option to just back out of the room, but waited until after everything was paid to inform me that I wouldn’t be able to shower, use the restroom, wash my hands, ect until after 10pm EST. Beyond unprofessional and inconsiderate experience
- Jennifer (8/5): - Overall I enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean, it was quiet. And everything seemed to be working....
- Jared (10/5): - Exceptional staff & amazing price
