Guest Reviews
- Robert (10/5): - Good location, except for the TV not working.
- Mathieu (10/5): - great price. quiet
- jimmy (2/5): - the room was not like the picture posted, never come back
- Audrea (10/5): - Very cozy room
- David (6/5): - Pretty run down, not very clean. No wifi and no a/c. Good communication with owner. Probably would not stay again
- Lisa (10/5): - Simple straight forward room with microwave and mini fridge. Clean. Easy to locate. Contact with Staff was just a phone call away and they responded quickly if they were not available immediately. I would recommend this motel for anyone who is looking for clean, safe and convenient accommodations
- Thomas (2/5): Change name to Irish Nightmare - No air conditioning, no internet, no office, bugs in room, not like the pictures.....DO NOT STAY HERE!
- william (6/5): - Inside the room was good
- deanna (2/5): Scary - I pulled up to a vacant property. It was a terrifying place. I did not stay. I chose to drive four hours home I stead. The photos do not at all depict the property or its condition.
- Anusha (8/5): - Convenient. Was a bit smaller than I expected. No ac so was warm inside
- Samantha (4/5): - Gross
- Patricia (8/5): - This is my go to place when I am Packwood. I have stayed here many times. It is conveniently located easy to find great parking. Quiet and safe. Room it was very nice. Grateful for the coffee maker, microwave and mini fridge. Highly recommended.
- Robert (8/5): - Clean room, quiet and close to town
- Abu Zafar M. (8/5): - Convenience
- Ye (10/5): - It was a great stay.
- cyndi (8/5): - Nice, clean. Staff was very nice. There was no AC and we stayed during a heat wave and it was super hot in the room. Not the properties fault, just know ahead of time. They did provide a fan.
- Rick (4/5): - No A/C in this unit.
- ted (8/5): - Looks like the units were previously used as longer term rentals in the past but the condition of our unit was fine and well equipped.
- Saul (10/5): - Strait forward budget motel.
Clean, comfortable beds, seems like it was recently remodeled.
- Jesse (10/5): - Clean, cute, quiet, was very impressed
- Sean (10/5): - We needed a single night stay in the Packwood area, and booked last minute. This place worked out great!
- Connor (10/5): - Decent location with the amount of trails and things to do nearby Mt. Rainier.
- Paul T (10/5): - Nice rustic hotel. The shower was really small and could use a shower hose head, but other than that it was great
- Kuppusamy (10/5): - Convenient
- karen (10/5): - No WiFi available, but the cellular service in the area was decent.
Tiny but cute and comfortable.
- Brissa (10/5): - Had a great stay and close to Mt Rainier NP!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Our room was clean and had room for all five of us! We appreciated the hot breakfast to start our day.
- Eric (8/5): - This was a nice, functional, and convenient place to rest. The room had a microwave, small and quiet fridge, coffee maker, ample towels and toiletries. There wasn't air conditioning, fans, or wifi. Leaving a window open overnight might be too loud from the road noise, but it wasn't necessary for me as the room wasn't hot. I would stay here again.
- Richard (10/5): - Great.!
- Kathleen (10/5): - Just a cute little motel in a small town quiet little town and it was great for what we needed. We were just staying overnight as a layover to our future destination.
- Linda (10/5): Curtain Falls - There is no air conditioning but the owners brought over a wonderful fan and that made it quite comfortable. Very nice owners.
- JF (8/5): - Great location. Very basic room but you get what you pay for. No WiFi FYI.
- Phyllis (8/5): - Much nicer than expected. Clean and spacious. Next to high school track i was able walk.
- Jayden (6/5): - The property does NOT have AC! It does not explicitly state this and I feel like it should.
- SathyaNarayanan (2/5): - **Absolutely Terrible Night - One of Our Worst Hotel Experiences**
Zero sleep for my family including elderly parents. Complete nightmare.
**Major Problems:**
No ventilation - can’t breathe properly, but can’t open windows due to busy road just feet away. Constant loud traffic noise all night. Paper-thin walls made every vehicle sound like it was in our room. Mysterious ticking sound continued all night. Bathroom door doesn’t lock. My 60+ parents were miserable.
**Staff Ignored Us:**
Left our messages on read, never responded when we let them know that the toilet door doesn’t lock. Even Expedia couldn’t reach the property owner when I called for help. Expedia support was helpful and will discuss possible refund.
**Positives:**
Room was clean, had coffee maker, fridge, microwave. Easy check-in.
**Bottom Line:**
Paid $163 through Expedia for the worst hotel night ever. Parents still exhausted and upset. Relieved we only booked one night. Save your money - not worth any price.
- Eduel (2/5): - The good:
*Comfortable beds.
*Good effort with coffee.
*Microwave and mini fridge present.
*Nice towel display.
*Better than sleeping in the car.
The bad:
*No Wi-Fi!
*TV didn't work (Apparently, there was some satellite service for TV, but it took being tech savvy to figure out how to locate the remote which was under one of the beds, and no channels.)
*Shower was less than 3 ft by 3 ft, making it extremely difficult to wash, let alone dry.
*Shower pressure was way too hard.
*Shower head was too low, hitting the shoulder of an average person, since the shower stall was too narrow to move away from the water, It was very difficult to shower.
*Shower head had to be pointed towards the back wall to avoid spraying into the bathroom.
*Toilet did not flush right lifting off the tank cover, and manipulating the interior mechanisms.
*The bathroom toilet was very small, and hard to use if you were an adult for too insufficient space. The bowl was very low to the floor and close too the walls.
*No deadbolt on the main door.
*The light for the bathroom was outside in the main room, so if you had to use the bathroom at dark when others were sleeping, it was impossible to avoid waking them.
*Smoke alarm had no battery, and cover was hanging open
*Towels were stained an orange color.
*Insufficient light
- Daniel (10/5): - The room was small and perfect for a quick night of sleep. The owner was very kind and helpful. If I'm in the area again, I'll be back.
- Sharon (10/5): - I almost skipped over this property because the rating seemed low at first glance. But after reading through the reviews, I realized most of the complaints were about trivial things—like the lack of a TV—rather than the actual quality of the stay. I’m so glad I gave it a chance.
We booked the family suite and were pleasantly surprised to find it was a small, private cabin with a full kitchenette. It was spotless, quiet, and in a convenient location. If you’re looking for a clean, safe, cozy, and affordable place to stay, this is it.
Mary, the host, was incredibly kind and thoughtful—she even called to make sure we had all the instructions for checking in. When we had a question, she responded promptly and cheerfully.
If you’re here to experience the beauty of the area, don’t let the absence of a TV sway you. This is one of the most beautiful places in the world—who needs a screen?
Highly recommend. Book the stay.
- Elizabeth (6/5): - We had an easy check in, convenient.
- William (2/5): - I didn't stay there.
- Timothy (8/5): - I didn't like the fact that there was no TV or WiFi, but other than that it was fine
- Alisha (10/5): - Clean, quiet
