- Michael (10/5): Comfortable three night stay - Management was very accommodating. Many surfers here so, early to bed, early to rise is a common theme. It's a few blocks from the interstate so there is some street noise but it's more relaxing,white noise rather than disturbing. Bed is very comfortable.

- Kyle (10/5): Fantastic Stay - This motel was a great value for the price, with a spotless room at check-in that, while small, made excellent use of the space with some amenities like a mini fridge and small coffee setup. Internet was strong for phones and streaming. The TV had some apps available like Hulu and Netflix that would could sign in to if you have an account. The twin beds were comfortable, and the room stayed cool thanks to a strong A/C, though it was just as pleasant with the windows open. The owners were incredibly kind, quick to help, and offered great local knowledge that made the stay even better. There are several food options within walking distance of the motel. 10/10, would stay again.

We love the friendly vibe and neighborhood feel. Lots of places to eat that you can walk to. We will stay here again!
- john (10/5): Nice place great location! - This is a small hotel/motel that was recently renovated. The owners were fantastic and accommodating. The room was clean and quiet enough since it is located on a busy street. There is ample parking and is located near many restaurants. The room was on the small size and there was no microwave therefore the 4 rating for comfort. Would definitely stay again!

It's also conveniently located to shopping, dining, and beaches. Highly recommend for travelers on a budget. Although the room's smallish, slightly worn with age, and could use a bathroom outlet - it served our simple needs perfectly! I'd definitely come back.

My boyfriend and I needed a last minute stay but we didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg and I wanted something with great reviews and very clean. Turns out I got everything I wanted and more! The bed was extremely comfortable, blankets were clean and super soft, no carpet which we loved, bathroom was spotless, had everything we needed and the AC was strong and worked great. The room was simple yet perfect, and I can’t even begin to describe how clean it was. Dave was quick and responsive to anything we needed (they live down the street) and the property was quiet and felt very safe. We will 1000% be coming back soon!

The owner was incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. My room was spotless and cozy, with a comfortable bed and a charming, old fashion feel. I loved the personal touches and the attention to detail and charm that you truly don't get at most places. The location was perfect for exploring the town with many beautiful beaches, and walking and bike trails very close by as well. And the cohost, Harvey was as adorable and charming as they come! I highly recommend for anyone looking for a genuine, friendly experience!"

From the moment we inquired about an early check-in, we were greeted with the best hospitality So Cal has to offer. Great location with many food and shopping options within walking distance. My husband and I were very happy with our stay and will be back.

Room had a very nice kitchen and living room. Bedroom was very spacious. Very retro feeling, quaint and had nice touches. We'll be back! The hotel is Just down the road from Main Street in San Clemente which has so many great places to eat and shop. It is a family owned hotel which we loved since it's nice to support local run business.

Their motto of catering to surfers and nice people sets the tone and you will feel right at home. The location is fantastic, near everything San Clemente has to offer, and they’ll even set you up with a day of surfing if you wish. Do yourself a favor, especially if you like to surf, or want to try, and be with good people, spend some time at the West Coast Surf and Stay, you’ll be glad you did.

We stayed there to celebrate our son’s surfing National Championship win on July 4th, and it was a memory we’ll always remember! We were welcomed from Dave and AnnMarie with the nicest welcoming text that our room was ready way early in the morning, which helped so much! Then we were greeted like they’d known us forever. Truly, the coolest sweetest nicest family! They’ve worked so hard to make the rooms and your stay feel cozy and welcoming, and they have gone above and beyond. We loved how our room had so much space for all our board bags and gear. We loved the board rack, full fridge, comfy couch, we all had the best slumber party in the bunk bed room! It was so fun to all cozy up on the couch to a great movie on the smart tv, after a fun day surfing Tressels and fireworks at the pier. Truly, it felt like home. We can’t thank Dave and AnnMarie enough and can’t wait to stay again soon! We highly recommend staying there and be sure and bring all your family & friends. It has the vibes of your favorite family surf trip. It’s amazing!
