Guest Reviews
- Vincent (4/5): - The window blinds were missing slats and had others broken. The rugs were in need of deep cleaning. The shower and sink faucets were in need of good scrubbing.
The pot needs to be replaced. No info on Wi-Fi or usage of tv remotes. Ok for a fisherman to drop his bags and go fishing.
- Ian (4/5): - Things weren’t as we expected. The room had a smell. I looked at the AC unit and it looked like it had not had the filter cleaned in a year.
No fault of the owners but there is major construction going on outside as they are building a hotel right across the street and it comes with all the construction noise and traffic you would expect.
It’s definitely a budget lodging.
- Kevin (10/5): -
Excelllent, updated small bungalow that was perfect
- Michaela (10/5): Great stay! Small but perfect! - We had a great time. It’s very small but it’s totally perfect for a quick trip with a nice dock area to look out at while having coffee or walking the dog. Very close to the downtown area where there is a lot of food places and a bar scene.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Small, clean cottage for short stay - For the price and location, I enjoyed this quick stay. The cottage is simple, one room with a divider wall between the sleeping area and living/kitchenette area, plus a very compact bathroom. (The bathroom has very little clearance between the sink and shower stall with a cabinet also on the wall to maneuver around.) The A/C window unit runs the whole time (even when set at moderate temps), which I enjoyed as the white noise while sleeping. There's wi-fi, and the folks at the diving shop where you check in and out are very friendly. It's on the edge of Beaufort, walkable to all the stuff in town if you don't mind 10-15 minute strolls. My one complaint is that the front door has a really rough edge that sticks out and should be replaced. It scratched my leg when maneuvering by it a few times.
- Paul (10/5): Great hidden gem! - This is s great little hidden gem!! Small, but really no smaller than a hotel room!
- Kevin (6/5): - The property was in a good location for the historic district but the cottage itself had a lot to be desired. Besides having the musty/old smell, the blinds on the door & a window or 2 were all busted up leaving a lack of privacy. The bed has a big indentation in the center making it difficult for 2 people to stay on their own side. Their set of rules stated to leave the place cleaner then when you arrived so I'm not sure what expectations they had for the guest but I wasn't cleaning the air conditioner (which needed it) or other areas that seemed neglected. It does look freshly painted on the outside so maybe they're trying to make it better idk
- Lindsey (8/5): - Tim who works the desk is very accommodating and personable. The check in was easy and straight forward. The property reminded me of a hunting cabin rather for fishing. It’s really just a bunk house but it has everything you need and they even provide a food saver with a roll of bags and plenty of ziplock bags for anyone taking home their catch. You’re right next to the marina. The only downside is that they are doing construction next door so it’s kind of a mess, but I would imagine they will have that done by summer. For one to two people wanting to visit the area on a budget, this is a great place. You’re just steps from charming downtown Beaufort. I would return. Thanks for being awesome, Tim!
