Guest Reviews
- scott (10/5): - Great location. Close to everything. Staff was very helpful
- Rhonda (10/5): - The room was quite small but clean and comfortable. Luckily I did not have to pull my layout to do work as there was very little room to do so. The breakfast was great and the staff were great!!
- Louise (10/5): Special hotel in the middle of everything - Everything about this space is wonderful. It is close to everything in the area and the staff was always so helpful in giving suggestions or telling us about points of interest. It was always so nice to start the day off with a light breakfast and to come back in the afternoon after exploring to cookies and tea. We would definitely stay here again.
- Danielle (10/5): - Room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfy and the water pressure in the shower was the best! Only complaint was the lack of air flow within the room - need a fan or a way of turning down the room temp.
- denise (8/5): - It was very walkable to the main areas
- Michelle (10/5): - This hotel was excellent. It was in the perfect location to the Latin quarter. The staff was amazing. The breakfast was great and the shower had the best water pressure. I will stay here again next time I’m in Galway.
- George (10/5): - Staff was super nice and helpful
- Edel (10/5): Excellent stay overall - Fantastic stay. We had a great time. Everyone was wonderful.
The only negative is the access to the building via the front door is not suitable for people with mobility issues. There is an exit via the back door. This is not accessible to enter.
- James (10/5): Highly Recommend - Great location, beautiful room, and outstanding customer service!
- andie (8/5): - Perfect location in Galway, super friendly staff and very clean.
- Nancy (6/5): - Spiders! Dark room
- Monica (10/5): Toppen! - Jätteskön säng, bra tryck i duschen och rymligt rum. Trevlig personal. Mysigt med litet bibliotek. Ligger centralt utan att ligga mitt i smeten.
- William (8/5): - Was in a good area and gave a voucher which reduced the overnight parking lot from 29 euros to 11 euros. Bedroom and bathroom were clean and did the job for our one night stay. Reasonable rate would stay again.
- Laura (10/5): - Excellent location
- Johanna (6/5): För dyrt för vad de levererar - Ett helt ok hotell, men för priset vi betalade förväntade jag mig mer. Rummet luktade starkt av mögel.
- John (10/5): - The House Hotel was perfect for our stay in our favorite Irish city!
- Matt (10/5): - This was our favorite stay of the trip. The staff was nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and beautiful. The location was perfect. We would definitely stay here again
- Abel Guerra (10/5): - The STAFF was AMAZING, "Thank You" to Joey and Liam for making our stay Wonderful!!!
- David (10/5): - EXCELLENT location - right on the Octagon. Easy walk to shops, pubs, restaurants, etc. Decent breakfast. Comfortable beds. Clean. Would recommend!
- Natalie (8/5): - Close to spanish quarter, river and interesting sites
- Brian (10/5): - Nice room. Quiet for a good night's sleep. Hotel staff were very pleasant. We enjoyed our stay. We wish we had been told about the discounted parking garage that's associated with the hotel before we checked in though. We had already paid to park somewhere else. Maybe listing it on the website or on Expedia or Google would help others.
- Edward (10/5): - Room was lovely. clean and quiet. Staff very helpful and breakfast bagel was great
- Adriano (10/5): - The hotel is in a fabulous location; close to shopping, pubs, and dining. Paige provided exceptional service during check-in, at breakfast, and at check-out. I would definitely recommend staying at The House Hotel.
- Michael (10/5): One of the best! - Our room was so spacious, and so was the bath!
The bed and pillows were very comfortable, too!
The staff were super friendly and so helpful whenever we had questions!
The location is excellent; directly by the pedestrian zone, but still very quiet!
- Brigitta (10/5): - Great stay!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Convenient location and comfortable - A very convenient and central location, but also quiet which was nice. Absolutely loved the breakfast with the variety and how easy it was to take anything to go - especially if you have early tours in the morning or need to run to catch a bus elsewhere. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Sleep was good. The bathroom is small though, especially the shower. If you're a bigger person, it might be uncomfortable and door easily opens so you have to be careful water doesn't leak out, but it was okay.
- Victor (10/5): Love this hotel - Very clean hotel and room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is walking distance to just about everything. Breakfast was good, bed was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
- Shawn (10/5): - This is our third visit to Galway. The House Hotel was a good fit for us. We like being to be able to walk around Galway. There are many shops, night spots and restaurants to dine at within walking distance. The hotel does have an elevator. Parking is relatively close and it isn't free. Breakfast was good. I prefer perked coffee and had to have Americano here. Would recommend.
- Tracy (10/5): - Hotel was great. Breakfast options were very good. Very close to Latin Quarters when we walked to and was a must see in the town. Parking was the only challenge.
- Caroline (6/5): In Between - Rooms were a bit underwhelming.
Fire alarm went off the first night. Construction was happening on the first floor so smelled like paint. Good location and relatively nice, but not what I expected
- Michael (10/5): - Nice room, good shower, great location. Staff was pleasant.
- Jeff (10/5): Quaint hotel in THE best spot in town - Fantastic hotel in a stellar area of town. Walking distance to “the spot” with restaurants and pubs. SUPER FRIENDLY staff at check in. Great hotel.
- Brenda (10/5): - What a great little hotel. We loved staying here, right around the corner to the Latin Quarter in Galway, easy walking distance. The breakfast was delicious and the room was cozy!!
- Melissa (6/5): - Huge wet patch beside my bed. Carpet soaked and water squished through my toes. Leaking from the shower?
- Shannon (10/5): Great place to stay - We were not familiar with this property before our stay. We LOVED the hotel, location, and convenience of it. We would make it our ideal location if in Galway again.
- kerrin (10/5): - Enjoyed!
- Kimberly (6/5): - The lobby and included breakfast area has been renovated and is a nice pleasant space. The rooms and corridors are worn, shabby, stained and in need of an overhaul. Construction noise on the first level began around 0830. Very disappointed in the 9.2 Expedia rating. Not at all what I was expecting.
- Lindsey (8/5): - Great location, great staff.
In the process of updating so I’m sure all rooms will be lovely soon.
Nice breakfast.
- Brenna (10/5): - Spacious rooms, great location, and exceptionally friendly service. Free breakfast in the morning was a big plus too!
- Douglas (10/5): perfect place to stay - Exactly where you want to be in Galway. short walk to everything you would want to do. easy to unload bags (loading area in front) and easy parking down the street at the carpark. breakfast was great. room is big enough and was clean and warm. staff were friendly.
- Sarah (8/5): Understated, stylist and relaxed - This is a understated, stylish hotel that is very relaxed and friendly. The rooms were a good size with tea and coffee making, iron and ironing board and safe. King sized bed was very comfortable. Very good location but parking is a multi-storey along the street. I’m not that fussy, but I did think breakfast was disappointing … tried all the (limited) options during my stay but most were overlooked or dry. There’s plenty of better options near by which I’ll choose for my next stay there.
- Tyson (10/5): - Perfect location. Perfect place. It’s a cute hotel. Rooms are a decent size for Ireland. Shower can be small. But overall I would stay here again. It’s very central located. Bus pick up are close by.

- John (8/5): - Nice place with a very nice staff. Location is very convenient.
