- Navarian (4/5): - we had to move rooms 3 times… didn’t even get to enjoy our stay first room the AC and toilet was broken, 2nd room the toilet and bathtub were disgusting i literally had to go to the lobby and show them pictures… the guy at the lobby told me someone would come in a hour to come see about the bathroom nobody came so i came back down there 2 hours later with a different tone and all of a sudden we’ve got ANOTHER room. sick SMH don’t book if you wanna save ur time and money there’s many more places around the area to book make this one ur LAST resort

Food in the fridge. Busted toilet paper holder toilet paper rolls on the floor. Dirty towels in the room. Floor was covered in trash. Food wrappers left on the night stand.

- Jackie (2/5): - I booked a room at the Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Texas City, but the building was actually marked as Super 8. The room and bathroom were only spot-cleaned, and I have pictures to show this. I was very disappointed in the appearance of this building and would like a full refund.

- Verified traveler (2/5): - At check in I was told their “system” was down and they couldn’t check me in. I showed them my confirmation and payment and they were fine with that. Both front desk staff memebers seemed clueless. The floors were dirty, rooms was really outdated. There wasn’t a sufficient amount of pillows or towels, and the phone did not work to call front desk. The air conditioner unit was all broken up and taped together. The shower had good pressure however there was no head. The entire night there were people outside coming and going being really loud. NEVER AGAIN!

I was not expecting nor wanted much but it was worst than expected. Pay a little more, enjoy your stay a lot more.

- Andrew (4/5): Downhill - This place has gone downhill in the last few years. This was always our go to place when visiting Texas City. The rooms smell bad. The sheets were moist and the room damp. The ac units are rarely working appropriately.
- Brianna (8/5): Check your doors - Great trip but came back from beach and door was wide open not once but twice. Nothing missing only glad my chiuaua didn't fun off. Manager didn't seem to care we checked door before we left each time.

- Jasmine (2/5): Not worth the money - The lady at the front desk wasn't friendly at all. She didn't even tell me how to get to the room. There was a guy, I assumed worked there, that kept interrupting her while We were getting my room paid for. Very rude! We were right next to the pool, which didn't look clean. We got to the room and the card reader was loose on the door, making it hard to unlock. We got in the room and all you could smell water damage (very musky). The beds are small and are as hard as a 2x4 and very rickety. The bath tub wasn't clean (still had hair and dirt in it). The shower didn't work very well (sprayed everywhere and horrible water pressure). There is a fridge and microwave and a small table with 2 chairs. The only GOOD thing about the room was there was a big enough space for my dog's crate. $250 for 2 nights in this dump is ridiculous! And if you want to get any sleep here, good luck! People are very loud and obnoxious here!

- Miranda (2/5): Don’t do it! - Stayed at this location a couple of years ago with no issues. Decided it’d be good to stay here again, and I was wrong. The only good part was the check in. The room was disgusting. Floors were dirty, and raised from what I would assume was water damage. Sheets looked like they may had been slept in before we arrive. There was toilet paper stuck to the walls in the bathroom. Aside from the room, there were people with a bbq put set up outside of their room, with lots of people and loud music playing. A group of older women sitting at the pool smoking weed while I was taking my nieces swimming. I expected much more paying 207 dollars for two nights, but I got absolute crap. Don’t recommend this hotel, and won’t ever stay again, no matter what.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Not the vest - Upon arrival, we thought it was going to be nice. Almost immediately we noticed roaches coming out, and our non-smoking room snelled of smoke. There were construction materials filling the room next to us. We went to use the phone to call the front desk, and it wouldn't work! We tried plugging it in, and there was no phone jack in the plug in. Overall, not the best stay

- Scott (4/5): Lees than no frills - Wont use this location again. Tub was raised so high my head almost touched the ceiling. Drains didn't drain. Mold on room ceiling. Hanging rack on floor in closet. Connecting room door would not lock. Killed 2 water roaches on wall. Hotel was mostly empty but they put us right next to the maintenance storage and they woke me up at 6am banging and stuff. Also, started working on the unit above us too.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Never again! - I didn’t realize that the hotel was located in an industrial area, so I didn’t feel the safest with my family here. Especially, given that our second night had so many people hanging outside of their rooms. It was definitely an uneasy experience. Our first night, roaches started coming out of everywhere. It was crazy and absolutely disgusting. My family had to get all of our belongings off of the floor and we all slept restlessly in one bed. We switched rooms early that morning. Front desk claimed they didn’t have issues with roaches. However, as we were moving our belongings to another room, what I assumed was the maintenance guy explains that he had sprayed the room behind us the night before and that’s why the roaches flooded into our room. To make matters worse, that same guy knocked on the door of our second room with 3 other guys to change out door signs. Two guys who just happened to be regulars who walk the lot quite frequently (gathered this from listening to the conversations they had amongst each other in my presence). The maintenance guy even tried to convince me to let these two guys, who didn’t work there and whom I didn’t know, come into our room and help move our belongings to the new room. Absolutely not! What type of safe practices are those. I couldn’t wait to leave. We cut our family vacation short, because this was our second hotel experience during this vacation and they both were horrible, and didn’t want to take a third risk at another hotel.

I was in a nonsmoking room in another building but I was still very nervous and right before check out a guy came up to ask me to sell him some Xanex. The room smelled of mold as soon as you walk into it and could find mold stains on the ceiling in various places. Keep in mind you get what you pay for. And deadbolt your door.

Gotta let the water run because when you first open it pours out brown water and smells. I killed several cockroaches. Not a good place to stay ,
- John (8/5): - I was happy to see that some remodeling had been done since the last time we stayed two years ago, I would recommend that they install some non-skid strips in the bottom of the new bathtubs it is very slippery and someone elderly would most definitely slip and fall or get hurt badly. - Michael (4/5): Look Elsewhere..... - The mattress was old and hurt my back, the television reception was poor and several channels had no sound. The refrigerator would not close and water was on the floor around the refrigerator. Rooms were not thoroughly cleaned each day. The maintenance guy was useless never even touched anything just complained and left.

We were supposed to stay two nights but after the first we left. The only good thing is that when went to to the front desk to leave they did refund our money for the second night without a fight.

The motel is one of the most reasonably priced in this area and provides everything a traveler should need. If you are looking for a resort hotel this is not it. It fills the basics that it is designed to do. Good value.

Very disappointed for the price. Staff was friendly though and did what they could do to accommodate my boat parking because this is a high crime location. It’s no surprise that this was the only hotel not full during spring break.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Bring your own towel, “it is what it is” - killed one cockroach, bathroom walls had visible mud or grime on walls and door, 2 towels had visible stains on them (ahem live stain looking). Positives: bed and sheets appeared clean, bed was comfortable, climate control worked, flat screen TV, clean shower and toiket.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Danger - The door would not lock. The place was missing a dead bolt lock, it was broken off. The keycard worked on lobby door but would not work on room door. Got a new keycard and found out the entire door lock was not functioning in our room. There was no phone in the room. I felt that me and my family were in danger. They moved us to another room and it also had a broken deadbolt lock. New room smelled like smoke, I requested a non smoking room.

As soon as arrived to check in there was a customer in front of me already complaining about how dirty the bed sheets were. I still gave it a chance. Once I got to the room it was absolutely disgusting there was mole, holes in the restroom wall, the peep hole was broken and all they did was stick a piece a plastic in the hole, the sheets were dirty, towels were disgusting, everything about this hotel was disgusting. I ended up leaving the hotel and drove around until i was able to find another hotel. Worst experience ever. I can even see why you all would even allow this sort of hotel on ORBITZ. I am very dissapointed and i would really would like to get a refund.
- Taryn (4/5): Worst stay ever!!!! - I will never stay at this hotel again. To be fair the staff was very nice and very apologetic, but gave no effort to suggest alternatives. I booked my stay with hotels.com and my check-in was fast and easy. My first room the keys would not work and they needed to change the batteries on the key pad on the door. So we where moved to the room next door so we would not have to wait. This room I am hopping was still under construction because there was nothing in it except the bed and a TV. The bathroom light was broke, there was no mini fridge, no microwave, no phone and the TV was barely hanging on the wall. Somewhere in the middle of the night I went to look for an ice machine. Every ice machine in that place was not working nor was any vending machines. I had the worst stay of my life. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

- Verified traveler (8/5): clean, good place to sleep - The rooms are very simple but clean. Great place to sleep. Denny’s is in the parking lot. Close to stores, and eats if you need to grab something. We would definitely stay again to save some money on the stay

- Tamara (2/5): Completely Unhappy - I reserved a King bed. When I got there they said that they did not have a king size bed so my husband and I had to stay in a room with 2 double beds. This was part of our 25 year anniversary trip. I was terribly disappointed. I will not stay here again and I will not use an online booking service to book a room. The past 2 times that I have done this, when I arrive at the hotel, I am told that they do not have what I had reserved. What is the point in making reservation in advance when they have no meaning. Also, This Hotel was much more comfortable as a Laquinta. It is now a Motel 6 and is very cold and sparsely decorated. There used to be a continental breakfast, it no longer has that either. Total Disappointment
- Toby (6/5): Room in poor condition - A convenient and economical choice for a visit to Galverston and Houston. There are some useful stores over the road, although the wider area isn't that nice. The room had a few faults, including a missing deadbolt and a bathroom light that wouldn't turn off. Also there was some noise from the next room.

- Disappointed (4/5): Definitely lived up to the reviews it has received - While I had read many of the reviews that had been posted prior to my stay, I really couldn't imagine that it was as bad as they had said. Our check in was quick and the gentleman was very friendly. Our room was sparse but worked for us. We did not see any bugs as other posters had seen during their stays but our room was a non-smoking room but reeked of smoke. Room appeared to be clean but was not just from the black wear on the bottom of our socks just from walking around the room. The water did run decently in the shower but only on the cold setting. Hot was just over a drip. our towels were clean without holes but felt very close to scrubbing your body with sandpaper. All of these things are within the motel's control and should be addressed by the Motel 6 chain as it's giving all of your locations a horrible reputation. The noise level was pretty bad and kept us up most of the night but there would be very little the motel could do about this. We left after one night even though we had reserved and paid for two nights because the smoke smell had made me pretty miserable and I did not think I could handle another night of sleeping on bedding that reeked of smoke. Overall, very disappointed and so grateful we did not have any of our children with us because we would have packed up that first night.
- Dometrius (2/5): Low quality amazing & friendly staff - No phone in room. Floors in roo. are uneven. Commode took more than 10mins to fill before it could be flushed. Double bed room on had one chair placed at the table in the room.
- Verified traveler (6/5): EHH - First of all first room the tv didn't work, so we got another room without an issue. But in both rooms had no phone, hangers or dresser. Really disappointed first room tv didn't work, no phone, elec socket cover loose, security hook on door missing uneven floors, mirror had streak marks on it . 2nd room security latch was on door but loose, unegen floors, no phone either. Both rooms flimbsy metal frame pops getting in out of bed also when moving around. Water got hot fast, bathtubs, facility overall looks clean & nice. Staff was friendly with everything. Just need's better mainteance & cleaning.

- nattie (8/5): My short trip - First impression, the hotel is decent and clean. The checking area is clean and was greeted promptly by the hotel clerk. She checked.me in and have me my room key. Upon entering the room, it was horrible. The room is a non smoking room but smelled like someone has been smoking in there. Parts of the wooden floor is cracked and broke off in one of the corner and there is an exposed power cord/plug out from the wall. The door is flimsy, window drapes/blinds appears in bad shape. Went back to the front and notify the clerk. She promptly gave me a new room right away. The new room is very nice, clean and in a great shape. The room is spacious and welcoming. Very good for a quick short overnight stay. The only issue is the noise level from the next door guests. They were banging on the door at 4am, making loud noises. Check out was easy.
