stan (8/5): - I have stayed in several other hotels/Motels in the area and I was quite surprised as to how clean the room was in comparison to my other stays. Cable TV was a little wanting other than that I would stay again.
Natalie (4/5): - I just needed a place to close my eyes and get some rest for the night during a long drive and this place was convenient and affordable. But the room was filled with bugs. Two large flies flew out as soon as I opened the door. Bugs on the wall. Bugs on the floor that would run under the beds and dresser. I left my luggage in the car. Luckily, the sheets did seem clean. Tried to sleep sitting upright in the bed. I guess you get what you pay for.

dee (2/5): Horrible - Went to rent and when I called to tell them I would be arriving late told me they had no room and that they called expedia to tell then when I asked for a refund they are still fighting me about it.
Verified traveler (2/5): Unorganized; most disgusting place I've stayed - First of all, we got to this hotel and they didn't even know we had made a reservation. In fact, the guy tells me they don't "do reservations". I stood there and waited for over 10 minutes while the man at the front desk checked and re-checked his CLIPBOARD OF PAPERS, then call another Knight's Inn in another part of town to see if we had just come to the wrong building (we had not.. I am from Fredericksburg, I know where I'm going). He finally shuffles through some papers and finds what he needs that shows we are, in fact, registered to stay there. The hotel itself was a joke. The main "lobby" smelled like an ashtray. We were given a "non-smoking room" that also smelled like an ashtray. There was a questionable splatter of some dried liquid on the wall just inside the door (we were almost certain it was vomit). The sheets on the one bed had cigarette burns in them and my husband found animal fur on the sheets also. The carpet felt sticky, so we refused to walk around barefoot during our stay. Our hotel room keys stopped working on the second day and we had to kick the door in just to get it to open, even when the keys did work. This is a place where junkies and deadbeats stay long term. There are plenty of other much nicer hotels within the vicinity, you're right off the highway, there's plenty of shopping and places to eat nearby. This is a great area to stay if you're just travelling through, just DO NOT pick this nasty crack den.

R. Carper (2/5): Area in need of renovation - This hotel had a nice price at just over $30, but there was multiple issues. Firstly, the room I was given (only 12 rooms away from the main office had poor WiFi), room was moldy, the exterior had chipped paint, and looked run down. Staff was not very fluent in English except for one employee. Room had no alarm clock, towels were stained, and toiletries were not resupplied in standard fashion.
Emma (4/5): Out of date, a tad dingy - This hotel is in need of a renovation. The reception staff seem weary and the rooms, although clean, are due for some new fixings,etc. Not an awful place but the reception area is like something from the shining.
jOHN wITTMAN (6/5): - thE HOTEL IS AN OLD hOLIDAY INN sPA TYPE HOTEL LIKE ONE WE STAYED IN TWENTY YEARS AGO IN pa.WHEN OUR KIDS NOW 30 WERE 10 AND 6. wE LOVED IT THEN- SWIMMING, HOT TUB, SLIDE TUB- FOOD- PERFECT FOR A wASHINGTON BIRTHEDAY NEAR THE SKI LODGES. tHIS TI ME FOR TWO ADULTS--QUIET, ATE OUT BECAUSE NO FOOD- (ALRUIGHT HOWEVER BECAUSE fREDERICKSBURG HAS MANY GOOD RESTAURANTS- mIMI'S cAFE AND pERKINS TO NAME THE ONES WE WENT TO- DISAPPOINTED THE HOE TUB WAS FILLED WITH ROCKS AND YET THE COUPLE AND THE YOUNG n ,EW BRIDE WERE VERY KIND AND WORKED HARD TO KEEP EVERY THING NEAT AND SPOTLESS IN ROOMS. mY HUSBAND AND i WOULD LIKE TO GO BACK FOR ITS PEACEFULNESS.
Verified traveler (4/5): Sad to See What Ramada Means Now - Ramada, in my mind, has always meant clean, comfortable hotels that are well-kept and maintained. Sadly, this one is a fallen star. A solitary ice machine that doesn't work. A pool that no one swims in. I gave it two stars because the check-in clerk was very nice.

Kevin (2/5): Do not stay here..... - First, my reservation was at the wrong hotel. Not Expedia's fault, by the hotel. Showed the clerk my reservation was for this hotel, she said according to the picture, it's for the knight's inn. (even though my reservation said ramada inn. Finally got my room after an hour of phone calls and faxes. Asked for a non smoking room and the room still smelled like somebody had been smoking in it for years. There was no microwave in the room and was notified that it would be extra to move to a room with a microwave. The toilet had no running water at first. Non of the electronic doors on the outside worked, they were all broken. Woke up to sheriffs cars around the building. Nothing about my stay there was good. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
Greg (6/5): Past its prime - Like me (sadly), this hotel is past its prime. Once a grand place, as witnessed by the lobby, this Ramada has seen better days. It seems to have fallen victim to the declining neighbourhood, as well as price competition from local discount chains. Still, the hotel is convenient to I-95 and the city of Fredericksburg. And the front desk staff were most helpful. To be frank, however, on my next trip to Fredericksburg I will choose one of the newer hotels.
Louise (2/5): Don't stay here - The front desk person raised the price late at night so w booked online. He told us we'd need to wait three hours for our online reservation to show up in their system. Over all a bad ! Experience . Though we finally did get a bed to sleep in.

David (2/5): out of pocket fifty eight dollars - address given was a Ramada Inn. Called hotel main number, they gave me a local number with no one answering the phone. I slept in my car that night. unable to locate hotel.
Verified traveler (2/5): Don't go near it! - The room was filthy - there was a one inch wide strip between the wall and headboard of human hair and crumbs, at least 1/4" deep. The walls were stained, as were the sheets and the towels were threadbare. The room still smelled like smoke even though it was a smoke-free room. The WI-FI and guest laundry were both broken. Hotel staff were surly and difficult when asked for help - they even argued with and rebuked me when I commented on the room's cleanliness. I checked out two days early and fought to get a refund - Expedia was phenomenal. The plywood cabins with saran wrap windows I stayed in in Nepal were cleaner than this!
Randy and Anita (10/5): E Z to Find - Very easy to locate. Local restaurants close by, but did not overcrowd the hotel's location. Daughter loved the indoor pool! Beds were comfortable. Only comment about the room was on the wall nearest the bathroom, next to the bed. It looked like it needed repair to the wall and wallpaper. Otherwise, the room was just what we needed for our stay. In room hairdryer, fridge, and coffee maker were a plus!
Scott D. (4/5): - Nasty 70's decor, same carpet, drapes, and wallpaper since it was built. Stayed for 5 nights (family of five), no room service after night # 1?? I asked front desk and she said "we don't have room service after the first night on extended stays". I asked if we were supposed to re-use the towels and she said you can get more here (front desk). Don't waste your time or money here, I sure won't. We asked for non-smoking, room definitely smelled like a bar. The exterior doors had electronic key entry, didn't work. Anyone could have entered. Very dissatisfied.

a (4/5): - This hotel looks nice when you walk inside the lobby however there was water damage in my rooms, smell of mold in room, the pool closed, exercise bike broken, Jacuzzi filled with rocks, pool table and games machines didn't work or took our money,also no breakfast
Dutch travelors (6/5): older hotel - I was glad we were there for only one night. The TV was the old huge set and they did not have a listing of which channels were what. The 'safe' for valuable sat on a permanent pedistal which meant housecleaning could not manuver a vacuum around it so the dust was extremely visible. The indoor pool was out of service (would not have used it anyway) but it was in the center courtyard and our rooom was right off this courtyard. Breakfast consisted of tiny blueberry muffins and a thermos of coffee on a table. I felt we paid too much considering other hotels we have been to.
Verified traveler (4/5): Room appearance - Just because the rates are low doesn't mean the room appearance should be low. There were holes in the walls, some of the outlets didn't work, the knobs in the shower are broken, hole in the ceiling in the bathroom. More attention to the appearance is needed. We stay there because of price and location but we still would like a nice looking room. I don't have holes in my walls at home or broken bathroom knobs. I expect when we stay in hotel to be like my home. A little TLC is needed

The manager or whomever he was, was very rude to the poor girl at the desk. He does not know how to speak to his employees...that may be the way he talks, but he does it in front of guests and it is a big turn off. For the price the place was ok.

Ramanda (4/5): hotel needs a major overhaul in facilities - Hotel was dirty. The toilet had not been cleaned. There was someone's hair on toilet and in bath tub. A used soap bar was left in the shower. THe towels were stained. There was a black hair in the sheets! There was a half roll of toilet paper & I had to go to the front desk to get toilet paper at 10 pm b/c they were too short staff then when I got to the front desk I had to wait 10 minutes for staff to hand me the toilet paper. They advertise a work out room and the one tread mill was broken and there were brown stains on one of the two excersie bikes. This visit was an epic fail.

Roy (2/5): Worst hotel stey - It was the worst hotel stay ever for us. It was clean But: We found the room to be in great need of renovation. The wall in the bathroom was badly stained from a prior leak. The drapes had three pieces of duct tape on on them to cover holes in them. The room had a noisy heater. The carpet was wavy due to apparent over washing.The TV was very old and the remote didn't work correctly. The TV channels didn't reveal the correct actual channel that was on. The Coffee in the office was not marked Decaf or regular. Just a very bad stay. Never again.

Cheryl (2/5): Not Our Best Stay - Check in was quick and easy. Desk clerk friendly. Room was a pet friendly one, as we have a small dog. It was like most pet friendly rooms. A bit on the worn side, with a stained carpet. Not a huge problem, as we have come to expect this, traveling with a pet. We had booked 2 nights, and the 2nd day became the real problem. We had slept in a bit the 1st night, and were still in the room about 9:00 am, when the maid knocked on our door. My husband told her we would leave shortly, and were out by 9:30. When we returned about 6:00 pm, we found the room had not been touched. The bed still unmade, no biggie, but NO clean towels. That was a problem. I called the office to ask for clean towels, and was told to come down and pick up a couple. My husband went to get them, and that's exactly what he got. 2 clean bath towels. NO washcloths or hand towels. Office said they were out of the washcloths and hand towels. What? How does a hotel run out of linens? Especially in a hotel that is barely 1/3 full? Office also told him that if the maid knocked and we were still there, she Would NOT return later. What's up with that? Not good service, in my opinion. I will definately not choose this hotel in the future.
Frank and Anna (2/5): Not a great experience - We had stayed here before several years ago and things have gone downhill. There is an indoor pool, but the area the pool is in is kept at 63 degrees. The workout room no longer had resistance equipment, just cardio, and none of the machines worked anyway. There used to be a jacuzzi, but now there are just rocks. The restaurant was not open for breakfast as advertised. There were two hangars to put clothing on, and when we asked for more the initial answer was no, but the manager or owner did get us some. The room was clean, and the shower was great. Be warned to check the shower head direction before turning on the water - everything in the bathroom ended up soaked after the first shower. The staff was courteous if difficult to find. Bring your own pillows if you don't want to wake up with a sore neck. It must have been a lovely place once.
Mike (4/5): Questionable safety and cleanliness - First, no one was at the front desk when I arrived. Another employee yelled for the front desk clerk that she had two customers at the desk. When she arrived, there was no apology for her absence. Shortly after that, a policeman entered the building and ran past the desk. I and the other guest waiting to check in were told not to pay any attention to them, and that someone had broken into the game room. I checked in and went outside where I encountered more police running into the building and 7-8 police cars with lights flashing. I drove around the building to my room expecting to see someone running to get away from the police. My safety was questioned. I moved everything of value in my car into my room. Second, the room was in poor condition. The heating unit was dirty and noisy. The carpet was rippled. The bathroom showed apparent water damage flowing to the floor from a square vent. Plaster was missing. The sunlamp did not work. This called to question the cleanliness of the room. Third, the plugs at the sink were very loose and worn, but seemed to work. Overall, I did not rest well due to the noisy heater and my safety concern. On the positive side, my car was safe through the night, no one broke in, it was quiet during the night and the heater worked. I know this because I checked these things every time I woke up during the night. I would not choose to stay here again.

The heater never turned off it just ran and ran so i had to sleep with the on. I guess you get what you pay for. I do know i will be going back to the holiday In.
Carrie (2/5): Very disappoint and frustrating - We had a terrible experience at the Fredericksburg, VA Ramada Inn. When we arrived the staff was not very friendly. When we called the front desk to request another pillow and blanket the clerk said, with a sigh, "I'll see what I can do," and then we never heard from her again. The state of the room was unclean. The blanket was clearly dirty and there was someone else's hair on the sheets. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls and there were rust stains in the bathtub. We ended up leaving the hotel earlier than planned because the baby that we were in town to adopt came a few days early, so we would be staying at the hospital instead. The Ramada refused to give us a refund, and, in fact, when I asked the clerk about it she said, 'Well, you know you're not getting your money back, right?" We even talked to the manager but they wouldn't budge. I had hoped that given our extraordinary circumstance of having our adoptive baby boy arrive early they would make an exception to their "no refunds" rule, but instead we had to pay for 3 days that were never used. We were at the hotel for a total of about 6 hours out of the 4 days we reserved. In my opinion that's very poor business, and we will NEVER stay at a Ramada Inn again, and advise everyone we know to do the same!
l.hanna (4/5): close to key Civil War sites - PREVIOUS rAMADA STAYS HAD BEEN MUCH HIGHER QUALITY, ESP. better breakfasts, and much cleaner floors. This facility had the feeling of a dilapidated building with dirty floors in the lobbies, run down unused equipment, vacant commercial offices, and the surrounding area was quite similar in tone. Rates were not commensurate with value received.

Jane (10/5): race weekend - This is one of the best hotels around that we stayed at. We go to the area twice a year for the richmond race and you always have very curtious service and the rooms are always clean, the staff very polite. We will continue staying there when we go to the area. It is only a 40 minute drive to the track. I had some trouble with my card key opening the door and left them know and we left for about two hours and when we came back the door was fixed that quick..
The Morgan's (2/5): Never been this disappointed in the Ramada - We have stayed at the Ramada any time we've gone somewhere in Pa, Va, or elsewhere. Needless to say, this is the filthiest Ramada ever in Fredericksburg, VA. The walls were splattered with God knows what, carpet had holes and were stained, blanket on the bed was full of holes. The only clean room was the bathroom. The pool was closed (no surprise there), it claimed to have internet in the rooms, but found out it was only in the lobby. The television did not have many working channels, yet there was an HBO brochure on top of the tv (yet, we could not get HBO). When we researched somewhere to stay, it advertised the amenities we were looking for, pool, internet, etc and it was all false. This was a very disappointing trip to visit with family and we have decided to stay somewhere else next time.

Smileytraveler (6/5): Good for a one night stop over - We were looking for a cheaper but nice place to stay during a stop over on our trip from NY to NC. This hotel did the trick. It is by no means the cleanest or newest, but we needed a bed and shower. We got it. If you are having a longer stay, this might not be the right place. In the morning when we went into the lobby area everything was dark and looked like no one had been there in years. There was a nice indoor pool area but we just grabbed some free coffee and a mini muffin.
Verified traveler (2/5): Terrible - I picked Ramada not just because of the price, but for the brand/trust in the name recognition. There was a live spider in our sink when we got in to our room. The sink faucet was broken and I could only get hot water to come out. Walls, floors and carpets filthy. Live roach in the bathroom while I was giving my 4 year old a bath. Dirty toilet - it was not just rust under the rim. We were only there for 7 hours. Checked in after 1am and left by 9:30am. Very quick trip, just my 4 year old and myself. Our room was an outside entry room on the furthest building back, on the backside. Why would anyone put a woman and child on the back of a hotel in the middle of the night? Didn't even offer to walk us back there or change our room to one upfront. I was too tired to mess with it. Will never stay at a Ramada inn ANYWHERE again. It only takes once for me.
Verified traveler (8/5): Pleasent stay - Asked fr two extra pillows and was informed there were no more to be had. How is that possible?
Rob (2/5): terrible stay - it was horrible. in first room we were given the bathroom had an unclean tub, mold along the tub rim and in the shower head. Dried urine under the toilet seat, the floor was not clean either. After complaining they swithced us to another room 6 doors down, similar conditon. tub unclean, had hair still in it, toilet was nasty and both room smelled musty. after showing one of the custodians the hair in the tub, all he did was have a maid come in and pick out the hair.....would not recommend this hotel to anyone in the future.

Verified traveler (4/5): - The lounge and resteraunt are only open on weekends wish I knew that when I booked it. The bathroom was out dated and dirty, there were stains all over the floor thought out the room.
Verified traveler (8/5): - Everything was fine except the bed which was horrible and having to pay the pet fee twice. I learned that the person I spoke with on the phone was the general manager and she acted like she thought I lied about bringing my cat. When I made the reservation I specifically asked about having my cat there and was told it was fine. Of course I assumed that I was charged the pet fee at the time of the reservation since I was HONEST and told them but the GM made me pay it again when I got there. Not happy about her attitude or paying the fee twice.
EMT845 (2/5): WORST hotel in the United States. - After waiting for someone to come to the front counter to check me in, I had to call the hotel to find someone to check me in.felt like I was bothering this girl by checking in. Perhaps that explains the room I got. Clumps of paint falling off ceiling and walls. Room smelled horrible. Lawn maintenance crew used a weed wacker to 11pm. Absolutely the WORST hotel that I've ever stayed in. This hotel should be demolished.
JAK620 (2/5): Will never go again - I reserved a non-smoking room for 3 nights. The front-desk crews were friendly but... The 1st room assigned to me smelled like someone had smoked inside for hours and just left. The 2nd room assigned to me smelled like someone just cooked Indian food inside and just left. And I could hear the conversation from the next-room word by word. Picked up my luggage and drove straight across the street to Hampton Inn, which totally worth the money spent.
Verified traveler (6/5): - They said they had a hot tub before I booked the room. When I got there 2 days later they said it was broken. Room was marked non smoking but definitely had been used by smokers :(
sally (2/5): eww - Nothing worked.. spa had no water in it... pool filter didn't work.. scum was across the top so I think they have it just to be Able to say they have 1...
Verified traveler (2/5): not up to par - The indoor pool was freezing cold, the hot tub and sauna were not in working order and had not been in a long while, the resturant was closed down, over all was not at all what I expected, Indoor rooms were not offered even though there were many openings
Ana (2/5): HORRIBLE, NASTY , DIRTY, SMELLY , ROOMS - THE ROOMS SMELL LIKE ALCOHOL AND CIGARETTES EVEN THOUGH WE HAD A NON-SMOKING ROOMS. THE EMPLOYEES WERE RUDE AND THE JACUZZI AND SAUNA WAS NOT WORKING. THE HEATED POOL WAS DIRTY AND NOT HEATED AT ALL.. THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY CLEAN TOWELS OUT. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE WITH KIDS TO STAY HERE. ROOM DOORS VERY FLIMSY NOT VERY SAFE
rette (4/5): Dont waste your money - Although I only stayed for one night, one night was enough. All the ameneties(jacuzzi, restaurant), with the exception of the pool, where either closed or broken. All of the entrances that seem to only be accessible bykey cards held by guest were all broken, so anyone could just walk into the side door of the hotel. Also, there was no security guard on duty, which the hotel stated that they had. When it came time to check out, we had a employee of the hotel knock on out door at 10:45am telling us we had to leave the room. However, on the back of the door it stated that check out time was 12:00pm. When we brought that to his attention, he told us those hours are no longer in effect even though it was also stated on website where I booked the room. Also, the room that was given to use was dirty and strongly smelled of smoke even though we booked a non-smoking room. When we asked for a different room we were charged a $20 upgrade fee, and the new room still smelled of smoke. I would never stay here ever again. The staff was rude, rooms were dirty, and security questionable. I totally feel ripped off, and was very unhappy with my one night stay.
Maurice (6/5): Needs updating...... - The motel is OK for traveling alone when on a tight budget. But the overall facility is in need of a facelift. There is an indoor pool off the lobby, but unfortunately it is not blocked off, thus the entire lobby smells of a gym. The Internet connection is weak, forcing a move to a room closer to the modem in order to get a signal. Unfortunately two of the lights in said room were not working. Stains on the carpet did not help the overall impression, nor did the plastic flowers that were in abundance in the lobby.
Layla (2/5): Horrible Quality PLEASE LOOK SOME MORE - Their wad four of us staying in the room all four of is were listed and only able to receive TWO towels a day. Bed were lousy and worn out. Pool wad properly lit at night. Jacuzzi was out of order. Front desk was not accomidating for getting extra towels. If went to use table in the room the leg would fall off. So my children had to eat on the bed. Toilet paper holder fell into the wall while using. Found a crack pipe next to the bed. Thank goodness my children didn't find it. Would not recommend to my worse enemy. Please look for better accomidations.....
Verified traveler (4/5): 1980s style motel/hotel - The lobby and entrance present nicely however it is very deceptive. This is a very simple plain no frills 1980s style hotel/motel location with drive up to your door style rooms. The a/c units are noisy but rooms are as clean as expected for the old furniture tv and fixtures. Dont expect a lot because you won't get a lot. Well... I guess you will get your money's worth.

Verified traveler (4/5): Ramada in Fredricksburg - Easy to get reservation, hotel room was off the lobby - no outside windows, non smoking but cigarette holes in the comforter and sheets, high presence of deodorizing spray. Hair (won't say what kine) in the tub. Towels paper thin. Pool open to main lobby but no other amenities - lounge, etc. Not a bad experience, just a disappointing one.
Peter (4/5): Its a cheap rrom - My wife and I have noticed as of late that one cannot rely on the tried and true brand names in the hotel business. This hotel was barely adequate.
Verified traveler (4/5): Ramada S Fredricksburg - Prices and I guess quality differ for rooms inside vs outside. I paid much higher price than the manager special listed on their banner. My room was outside but I paid the same price as others paid for inside. Pool is inside. Construction workers were booked in outside rooms. Room was not very clean. Cable reception was fuzzy (maintenance fixed it).
