Guest Reviews
- Paul (8/5): - You get what you pay for - it's clean amd safe.
- Robert (6/5): - Nice place
- Linda (6/5): - Room was noisy with a refrigerator that made a grinding noise and air conditioner that cycled on and off for short periods all night long. Both me and my companion commented on how poorly attended the landscaping was around the entry of the motel.
- Jane (8/5): - Nice and clean. Comfy beds.
Crappy t.v. controller.
Its nice having shampoo and conditioner and lotion in sqeezable bottles. So much better than the little bottles.
- Anita (10/5): - It was great
- Dawn (10/5): - Love staying here
- michael (8/5): - Much nicer than expected.
- Cristy (8/5): Quiet and peaceful! - It was peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub and it was a great location for the activities we had planned in the area.
Had we had a second floor room im sure the views would have been glorious. The picture i included is at the intersection that the hotel is on.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The hotel was nice but the pool was dirty needs a good cleaning ac was noisy
- Verified traveler (8/5): Maintenance - Everything was great except the shower controls appear to have mold growing around the fixture.
- darlene (8/5): - Breakfast was pretty much the same as other hotels.
- Dale (8/5): - Good location. My only comment is that the toilet was very hard to flush. I kept worrying that I was going to break the handle
- Kevin (10/5): - This is a hidden gem with a great hill top view of the driftless area. Located on the edge of town. The historic downtown is really unique.
- Aletha (8/5): Decent for a Weekend - Overall, this was a decent place to stay for a weekend trip. The beds were comfortable, room and bathroom were clean, no weird smells, and the environmental controls worked fine. The pool and hot tub areas were clean and well maintained. We had an issue with the door “keys” not opening the side or room doors and had to get them changed out 4 times. The front desk attendant said it might be a problem with the door reader, but no one offered to check that idea. The room refrigerator was warm, definitely needs to be defrosted or serviced. Breakfast is meager options, and if you have special dietary needs, don’t bet on this one. The waffle maker was in poor, unclean condition, and the batter smelled sour. I would stay again if I couldn’t find a better option at the same price.
- Todd (8/5): - Nice basic hotel. Clean, upkept rooms and facilities. Nothing spectacular but nothing bad either.
- Douglas (10/5): - Friendlyness
- Timothy (8/5): - So, this isn't the best hotel. It is clean and the room was well kept. The beds are comfortable. The hot tub isn't hot. The room key didn't work, but the guy at the front desk was cool and helped us out. It's about 2 miles from Mineral Point quainty downtown. It's a good budget option.
- Jason (10/5): - Very clean hotel. We stayed with a service dog and they were pleasantly accommodating despite a strict no pet policy. It is away from restaurants and shops but would stay here again.
- Steve (10/5): Great. - Needs better vending. Did not have water to purchase. Overall very good stay. Would stay again
- JAMES (6/5): - Shower leaks and was extremely noisy
- Ken (10/5): - Very comfortably 👌
- Marianne (6/5): - THERE WAS A 6” SOAP SCUM RING AROUND THE TUB. ENOUGH SAID.
- Ashley (10/5): Nice place, we enjoyed our stay! - We had a wonderful stay. Staff was friendly, our room was clean and comfortable. Nice amenities like the nice pool and hot tub, and a free continental breakfast which we enjoyed. The interior was nice, but there are a lot of weeds growing outside which detract from the place, but other than that, everything looked great! We were just doing a one night stay, we went to House on the Rock for my husband’s birthday. We would stay here again if we go back there some time!
- Linda (10/5): - Ou room was ver clean. Hotel was very quiet.
- Patrick (10/5): - All good
- BARBARA (10/5): - Man who checked us in was very kind and helpful
- Jerry (10/5): - Staff was friendly, room was clean and comfortable.
- Lisa (10/5): - Perfect location to attend Shake Rag Alley event.
- Kathryn (10/5): - The staff was so helpful and the property was well kept/clean. Would definitely recommend it.
- Troy (10/5): - Very clean friendly. Breakfast alright but not as many options as other hotels offering free breakfast. No scrambled eggs or meats or biscuit and gravy but other things such as waffle maker and toast cereal yogurt mini donuts muffins juices.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Had to ask for pool towels, not stocked, but were quickly brought to us. Overall very clean and pleasing. Would stay again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good experience. Thanks
Lighting in hallways was dim and the area to eat breakfast was small.
- Donna (6/5): - Very average hotel. Nothing special.Poor room
layout. Breakfast was average. No elevators,
to help get luggage upstairs. For Seniors very
difficult to climb long flight of stairs.
No luxury in this hotel!
- Larry (10/5): - Quiet area with nice shopping and eating areas close by. Staff was very accommodating.
- Judy (8/5): - The room was large and comfortable. A/C was a bit spotty...room temp varied overnight to too warm and then comfortable. Breakfast was good and there was a nice selection of items. We give our stay a favorable rating.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Check-in did not go very smooth due to what appeared to be an outdated computer system and not adequately trained personnel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice view! - The view behind the hotel is breathtaking. Didn't get to the pool, it stayed somewhat busy. The breakfast was pretty mediocre/standard. The room was nice, the bed very comfy.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Quiet, clean, breakfast was well maintained. The room cost more than I thought it would but I needed a place to stay. It was worth it.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice Hotel easy to get to helpful friendly staff - the staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. they had a nice breakfast. I would recommend this motel to anyone.
- Marilyn (8/5): Nice alternative in MIneral Point, Wisconsin - We had wanted to stay in one of the abundant quaint bed and breakfasts in Mineral Point, Wisconsin but due to events this past weekend, all the B&B's were filled. That left standard hotel. I was pleasantly surprised about how much I enjoyed the Quality Inn. Reasonable price, clean, great staff, comfortable beds and from the back of the hotel, a gorgeous view.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice clean - Nice. Didn't see the elevator! Conveniently close to main Hwy. Easy to get to!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- KES (10/5): College graduation at U of Platteville. - The best place to stay in a 30 mile area of Platteville, WI. The staff was very helpful in providing places to eat & sights to see.
Bring your swim suit. There is a lovely indoor pool to enjoy.
The continental breakfast was better than average.
- Richard (4/5): Disappointing to say the least. - When I pulled up, there were two cars in the parking lot, not a good sign. When I checked in, I was informed the pool was "not working." This would have been nice to know as that was part of the reason I selected the hotel. I had absolutely no hot water in the room, for either the bathroom sink or the shower. When I complained about the water they said they would have maintenance look at it after I checked out, and that was all they could do. I asked for another room to shower in as there was now three cars on the parking lot so they had plenty of open rooms. I was granted this request. Continental breakfast was mediocre, hot food was cold. Rooms were nice, but I would not recommend this hotel.
- Mike (10/5): A haven in frigid weather - This well-cared for motel offered spacious rooms and an excellent breakfast at a value price. It is well situated outside Mineral Point - close to #151. I would be eager to stay there again if I needed a room in the Mineral Point area.
- TA (10/5): Just off the interstate. Perfect location - Hotel was easy to get to and out from. Close to vacation spots of interests without being on top of each other. Pool was small but adequate for the two day stay we had. If we wanted a water park, we would have stayed at a water park. Continental Breakfast was more than adequate and had a nice variety.- Only complaint was adequate amounts during the busier time on Sunday morning when we were leaving and cramped area. Too many sitting and chatting and not enough room for those visitors coming to eat.
Room was very nice and price was VERY reasonable. Will be more than happy to return in the future
- Tealie (8/5): Very nice ! - This hotel was very nice. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were large comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was quiet. The room had a microwave, fridgerator, and coffee pot. They had a nice small pool and hot tub that I did not have time to use. Breakfast was hardboiled eggs, cereal, waffels, breads, yogurt, coffee, and juice. Fresh fruit would be nice. Coffee, and tea was available all day. There was a little noise from the highway, so a room on the backside would be good. I think that you get a lot for your money here.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Close to the highway for travel. - Always stay here. Clean, friendly, quiet. Never a problem in two stays. Get a room in back if quiet is what you need.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Best rooms are on the FIRST floor. The staff is great, and the hotel is the best for the money in this area, hands down.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good location for Area.
- It was a wonderful stay and will do it again. Location is perfect . The town of Mineral Point is awesome as a the Restaurants especially "Brewery Creek".
- Vicki (8/5): - We had coffee on the balcony listening to birds and watching a little misty rain. Having access to the kitchen was very inviting and though we didn't cook, we felt at home knowing we could. It's our second visit to the hotel and town, one of our favorite places.
- Dave (8/5): Nice quiet place out in the country. - This was our third or fourth stay at this hotel and we will stay here again. The facility is well cared for and in a very pleasant location with easy access to Mineral Point, Dodgeville, APT and Spring Green.
- Andy (10/5): No complaints. - Front desk very friendly. Room very clean. We stayed in king hot tub suite.
- tash (6/5): New and comfortable - This is a nice hotel on the edge of town. The King room also had a couch, fridge and microwave. I was surprised at the poor accessibility. No automatic door or even a button to open it. How is that legal? No elevator to the second floor. I suppose disabled people can stay on the first floor, but I had a really heavy suitcase. Imagine a family with a lot of stuff to haul.... There was a young man in the back in addition to the young lady at the desk, but no offer to help. I just often think about how it would be for someone older or disabled.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful. - The rooms were perfect for our large group. The kids loved the pool and hot tub. And the staff could not have been friendlier.
- Paul (8/5): convenient, clean, close to Hwy 151 - this hotel is a nicely maintained, clean, comfortable, and well appointed facility that is in a handy location for those travelling on the Hwy 151 route between Madison and Dubuque.
- L (8/5): Nice hotel but very isolated - Staff was awesome,! Room large well kept, clean comfortable bedding. Pool was nice clean nice tempature as was hot tub. Breakfast did not look well tended to in the mornings. Was on the far end of building which added to the feeling of isolation. Very bad cell phone reception but quick WiFI.
- annie (6/5): Bit pricey for value - Started off on the wrong foot with the advertised hot tub in the room being just a "whirlpool" tub, then price was $5.00 more than reservation said. Once inside the room, it was nice enough; a king bed, couch, big tv, micro, fridge, iron n board, table n chairs. The whirlpool was ok, water stayed hot longer than I anticipated but jets were too noisy. Couch cushions kept sliding off and when I put them back on, trying to "tuck" them in a bit, I saw a turtleneck and wrapper tucked in the back. Would seem like that would be on the cleaning list to vacuum that regularly. Did not eat breakfast there so can't comment on that. The lighting over the couch area could be better, if you wanted to read there, it's pretty dim at night. The water pipes seemed especially loud when ever another guest was showering or using water. Not sure if we were right next to mechanical room or what, it was not a guest room. We were second room from end of outside end wall. Did not use pool area at all either. For the extra price I had to pay for king room with "hot tub" I was not super impressed. The hotel itself seems to be taken care, so not sure if just bad experience for us that particular night....tho I do think it's wrong to advertise hot tub for a whirlpool in the room.
- rsueu (10/5): Very clean hotel - Nice hotel and very clean. We would definitely stay again if needed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Stay - Hotel was very nice, actually nicer than I expected from reading other people's reviews. Our room was very spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The only downfall of the whole visit was that there was no Ice machine on the second floor, other wise it was great.
- Nancy (8/5): Good hotel for a small town - Just spent the night, literally. Didn't use the pool or have breakfast there. Good value.
- Susie (10/5): Awesome stay..Great value! - We got a king-size bedroom with hot tub for the same price as a regular king-size bed room. Value was excellent. All has been newly remodeled. Very clean and comfortable. We got in late, so the tub was a plus since it was only 30 minutes until the pool & jacuzzi closed. My husband had a sprained knee and the hot tub was just what the Dr. ordered. The staff were great and our AAA card gave us an extra discount. Absolutely the best. We will stay there again when we go to House on the Rock...only 15 minutes away! Thanks!
- Al (8/5): Decent Hotel with pool and hot tub. - Clean, well kept, and well maintained. Kind of in the middle of nowhere. Midway Bar and Grill and a Japanese restaurant are both good and about a mile a way.
- Dave (10/5): A Beautiful Country Surprise - Wanted a nice place to stay while attending a play at APT in Spring Green (not fans of typical B&Bs), and preferred to get away from it all a little bit. This Quality Inn was perfect: big clean room, good bed, TV worked perfectly, quiet ---- all for under $100. VERY nice. About a 20 minute ride up to the theater in Spring Green. Really a good deal and we WILL stay there again.
