Guest Reviews
- Leigh (6/5): - Beautiful view. Accommodations kind of tired but the bed slept well. Very basic and all you need if you don’t plan to spend a lot of time in the room
- Carol (10/5): - Clean, comfortable rooms with the best view in the World!
- Maria de los Angeles (10/5): - Just like home
- Ellen (8/5): - We really enjoyed our stay! The staff were great, and we had a beautiful beach view.
- JADE A (8/5): - Tv in the bedroom didnt work. A/c in living room went out day 3 of our stay. Didnt like that housekeeping came in my room less than 24 hours of check in to replenish items.
Great view. Beautiful beach
- gassan (10/5): - Nice
- Gary (10/5): Almost The Perfect Get A Way - Our Stay was to Celebrate a 20 Year Wedding Anniversary. It was the Perfect Place to do this. The only Un-Welcome issue was the Harassing phone calls about learning to SAVE Money on Vacations at a meeting held at the resort's conference room. Totally Tasteless !!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Best vacation ever!!! - I enjoyed my stay so much before we left I reserved another week in July! Best way to describe Beachers is, home away from home... but in paradise!
- Verified traveler (8/5): We love Beacher's lodge - We love this area, with its big (dog friendly) beaches, it's wonderful seafood and it's history. Minutes to St. Augustine it is a comfortable place to stay. Small kitchenette, nice living area, and amazing view of the Atlantic. We love staying in this dog friendly place, great staff and we will be back.
- Charlotte (10/5): - Stopping by as we were driving through, we were very positively surprised. The view from our unit was magnificent, and fantastic to be right at the beach. The unit we stayed in had a nice and welcoming feel to it, even if not super-modern, and the staff were great. One of the highlights was visiting the nearby restaurant right on the beach which had delicious food and amazing to be right out on the beach eating it, even in the evening. The pool is large will not disappoint. Having said that, it is not one of the most modern looking places from the outside... but we were positively surprised for our brief stop-over.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice get away from home. - I called ahead and spoke to Jill over the phone she was super nice. Then when I arrive she was even better in person great customer service. The room was more than expected it felt like home. Will be coming back real soon.
- faye (10/5): So close to the beach you could smell it! - We were looking for a hotel close to our son to call home everyThanksgiving week.
Beacher's is our new home away from home .
Great price from Orbitz as well
- Barbara (8/5): Beautiful view of the beach, nice balcony space - Room was comfortable and clean, simple beach decor. Evening clerk was short and rushed but other than our abrupt interaction with him, the staff was friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask for a nicer view off the ocean. I would go backagain!
- Jim (10/5): Comfortable place right on the beach. - This was our second time here. The front desk was pleasant and helpful. The room was nice, clean with a cute decor, being more of a suite with kitchenette. It had what we needed for a comfortable couple of nights. Our "neighbor" was a bit of a jerk...made lots of noise. We should have complained but didn't...that's on us. Otherwise, I would definitely go back.
- Jenny (8/5): beautiful view from every room - They have a gorgeous beachfront view from the balconies. Very private area of the beach. Room nicely equipped. Definitely will stay again.
- Elisabeth (6/5): You'll love the view from here! - The ocean/beach view was what we were looking for and what we got. Really beautiful spot. Rooms were not fancy but clean and functional. Would stay here again.
- Jeannie (8/5): wonderful view of ocean. - staff was very helpful and kind. Really enjoyed our time in St. Augustine.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay ! - We had a great room with a perfect view. Hotel was secure and safe ,as well as convenient location. Would highly recommend.
- Jean (10/5): Nice Beachfront Condos! - I enjoyed my stay. The ocean view from the balcony is terrific! The staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely return.
- Teri (8/5): Love Beacher's Lodge!!! - Beacher's lodge is about 8 miles south if St Augustine, so it was very convenient to go see the sites and experience the beautiful and historic sites. The room had a gorgeous beach front view and an easily accessible boardwalk to the beach. Overall it is a wonderful vacation spot and we will definitely be back!!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We had a great stay and the staff was wonderful, we will be back mezzo year😀👍
- Thomas (10/5): Spectacular view! - Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We stayed in room 211, a one bedroom suite. It had a kitchenette, couch, recliner and a table with 4 chairs. The bed was very comfortable. The balcony overlooked the ocean and was wonderful to sit on.
- Amanda (8/5): - We stayed for my Moms birthday celebration. The room was fine for the 2 of us. We liked that it had a stove and a full size refrigerator. The bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains kept the outside lights from coming in.
- Marc (10/5): will do it again - best for the buck
- Claudia (10/5): Favorite place to stay! - Our favorite place to stay! Very clean! Peaceful and relaxing! Hated to leave!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was fine, but tile floors got very slippery with sand, etc. though not sure all rooms have tile floors throughout, as it seemed some had different window treatments, etc.,so assumed are individually owned, but not sure about that! Great for sleeping 4 of us! Beautiful ocean views from balcony. Personel very helpful and nice. Quiet and only about 15 minute drive to downtown St. Augustine.
- Lisa (4/5): Disappointing - Would Not Recommend - Most disappointed I've ever been in a hotel - very dated in desperate need of updating/renovation. For the price we paid, I was expecting a much nicer hotel - but this is definitely lower end motel quality. Each unit is owned by a 'condo owner' and rented out as a hotel room so every room is decorated differently, but from the rooms I saw, all were comparably old/dated. Good things I can say is that it is directly on the beach, the air conditioning and bathroom were in working order, it is close to restaurants and shop and staff were friendly. It is clean, but hard to tell b/c it's old and worn. For a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenagers), the 'queen suite' is very small with 1 small bathroom and 1 bedroom with a queen bed and a murphy bed in the main room next to the kitchenette area. Bathroom is extremely old with brown stains in the sink. Mattress in the main bedroom was old. White towels were thin and worn, with a gray tinge. The two in-wall AC units were EXTREMELY LOUD and run constantly (but the room does stay cool). Window in the bedroom looks out to the outside hall where people walk by so you have to keep the shutters closed. Balcony is small and sitting out there in the mornings to watch the sunrise, you can't even hear the waves b/c the AC unit is so loud. We stayed 4 nights b/c no refunds and our friends were staying in a monthly condo rental a mile away, but next time I will stay in the charming downtown area at a chain hotel for the same price. See pictures.
- Alyssa (8/5): A million dollar view for a bargain! - The view from our balcony was fantastic, the place was clean, and although it was pet friendly there wasn't any feces in the common areas.
The one complaint is although there were no smoking signs in pool areas, people still smoked.
Great beach access!
The price is reasonable for the service and accommodations you receive.
Thinking about our trip for next year!:))
We love our mountains but this place is great way to accentuate and enjoy the beauty of God's creation!
- g-love (10/5): Great view. Not crowded - One night. Just passing through but great beach. Would stay there again.
- Deirdre (8/5): Nice place - We were only there 2 nights but that place was great! Right on the beach! (OUR BIGGEST REQUIREMENT) great sunrise!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Best "cottage" in town - great amenities, cozy cottage feel with comforts of a hotel, adorable decore. bed was a little soft, but everything else was perfect. including the balcony and oceanview
- Mary (6/5): Ok for a short stay near St. Augustine - Ours was a last minute booking on a road trip. Everyone in the office was great and the room was nicely equipped and very clean. Great shower. The room was basically a condo-ized hotel room that was modern in the 80's, ok for a short term stay but not for a longer one. Living spaced was so crammed with furniture that there was no room to put suitcases and other stuff, which is a problem when there's no dresser and minuscule closet space. The balcony view was stupendous, over the dune to the ocean, with spectacular sunrises, but hard to enjoy due to partying neighbors. One noisy a/c in the bedroom and another in the living space that has to be turned off when using the balcony since it vented right there. Tiny dining table not useable since it was needed to hold a suitcase. Pool gets no sun in the afternoons, which was a disappointment. If you want to enjoy the beach bring chairs and umbrellas since none were available to use or rent. Room decor needs a serious update. Having said all of that, the price wasn't bad for what you get.
- zoranb (6/5): Not a hotel. - Nice facility right on beach fairly close to town. This is not a hotel so do not expect any facilities. Great for a weeks vacation but not good for business etc.
- Nancy (10/5): A perfect St. Augustine getaway! - Beachers Lodge is right on the ocean with a balcony overlooking the waves! We had a King Suite with a full kitchen and separate bedroom. It WELCOMES dogs and that is perfect for us who travels with ours. A dog area to walk them and no rules about the times you can take them on the beach like some places! Loved it and will be back!!!
- Mark (4/5): - Disappointed in room size, proximity and cleanliness
- Beth (6/5): Great view! - This hotel has a great location view. The rooms are very small and each one is uniquely decorated. It is run like a hotel but each one is a small one bedroom condo. It is perfect for 2 people but not the best for 3 or more.
- Patrick (8/5): Nice Place - My wife and I with our 2 year old and 10 week old baby stayed here. Room was a decent size, able to fit a pack and play in the living area after moving stuff around and a bassinet next to the bed in the bedroom. It was nice being separate from our 2 year old, but it wasn't the biggest room and had to be really quiet once we put him to bed. I must say the room was very nice, great view, and really nice people not only working but staying there too.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location for $! - My husband, son and I chose Beachers due to location. We were not disappointed. Quiet, comfortable accommodations (#203).
- Monica (10/5): Perfect! - Anita was the housekeeper. She was wonderful. The staff was so helpful and the room was perfect! We will definitely be back!!
- sarah (10/5): - Great location
Great view
Great time!!
Our family researched places to stay and were extremely excited with this hotel/condo
LOVE THE OWNERS OF # 203
Such a great condo!
- John (8/5): - Nice people and right on the beach. 2 New flat screen TV's. Basic kitchenette room was clean with 2 chairs on private balcony looking smack dab at the Atlantic.
- James (6/5): Great location - Great beachfront location near St. Augustine. Rooms are small, just right for a couple. We have stayed here twice on our way to the Florida Keys. It's an older property, but the view of the ocean from the balcony on the upper floors is marvelous. Only complaint is that getting to the elevator requires going up a ramp. A bit of a haul if you have lots of things to take to your room.
- Betty (8/5): Great view of the beach - The condo unit was clean and well equipped with all the things to make stay pleasant. Needed some updating in respect to living room furniture and kitchen appliances but good deal for the location. Condo management and service for the unit was exceptional . Friendly and most helpful. Several places to eat and store nearby. Could use more grills is the only downside for the units.Close to Marine Land , St. Augustine, bi-plane rides, Daytona, and lots of other activities in area.
- Paul (10/5): FAMILY GATERING - COULDNT HAVE BEEN BETTER
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice homey atmosphere! Very comfortable! I have recommended to others and will be returning.
- robin (10/5): Great location and on the beach - This trip was the last getaway for the year for my husband and I. We decided on St. Augustine because neither of us had been in a while. I chose Beacher's Lodge because it was close enough to St. Augustine but far enough away from the city. We had a great time exploring and sightseeing in St. Augustine. We loved that our room faced the ocean.
- Michael (6/5): Not a hotel!! - Booked this property for a quick overnight in St. Augustine and were fairly disappointed in the overall experience. Please understand...this is not a hotel, it is a condominium complex with owner properties for rent as "hotel rooms." As such, we were completely caught off guard when we expected a hotel room and instead found a dated "suite" that was in need of repair or updating throughout. The shower even leaked into the kitchen...yikes. Yes, the beach access was great. Yes, the staff was accommodating. Other than that, we felt like victims of a bait and switch advertising for our "hotel" stay.
- Patricia (10/5): - The staff was warm and welcoming and the hotel had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Great value for the amenities with the perfect oceanfront view!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Staff friendly. The problem is the age of the building. I did not realize it was pet friendly. I would not have stayed there. I love dogs but not the noise and mess. Bedroom faced the parking lot, not the beach.
- Gregory (8/5): Keep your expectations real and you'll love it! - This property is smack-dab on a beautiful stretch of beach. Units are mini condos, with fridge, hot plate, dishes, pots/pans, etc. Separate bedroom. Nice size private balcony with ocean/sunrise view. The down side is it is getting a little old, and it shows. The units are individually owned so décor and amenities vary from unit to unit. Quiet, clean. Keep your expectations realistic, and you'll love this place!
- Jeff (8/5): Relaxing at the beach - You could not get any closer to the beach than at the Beacher's Lodge. The ocean view rooms with the balconies are what relaxation is all about. We normally don't get up early on vacation, but a sunrise with morning coffee could not be passed up! It was phenomenal!
- William (8/5): Nice hotel in a great location - The room was clean upon arrival. Great location. The pool was in great condition and there is a convenient beach access attached to the hotel. A hotel worker arrived within minutes of our trouble call about one of the televisions. Only complaint would be that the room was a bit smaller than it looked in pictures and we were charged a $5 fee to use a pack-and-play (first time for us).
- deborah (10/5): #quaintgetaway - A great weekend get a way.Comfortable bed. The bathroom was small but clean. If I might make any suggestions all the condos we stay in have salt and pepper so don't forget to bring or pick up at the grocery. The location can not be beat for the price
- Danielle (10/5): Couple trip for the weekend - Perfect location and amazing beach! View was beautiful! Close to town but far enough away for some quite time.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great! - Loved our stay here and the ocean view. We loved the suite! Perfect for our family of five. The pool was great and awesome access to the beach! Can't wait to go back.
- Natalie (10/5): - We loved the beach front room, as well as easy access to the pool. Great location for beach activities, or visiting St. Augustine.
