- Lea (6/5): - We were there for an event which was all day & all night. There was a heat wave going on, so we came back during the day to cool off, eat & have a nap before going out again for the evening. A few things that made this trip miserable- 1. We couldn't figure out the air conditioner. It's like it was stuck on 80 & wouldn't go lower. 2. There are no blackout curtains. This is the first hotel I've ever stayed at would curtains. There are blinds for privacy, but when we tried to take a nap, the bed is right next to the window where the afternoon sun blares in, heats up that spot & makes it impossible to rest. We ended up taking a blanket & propping it up on the blinds, but why make the guests go to that length to be comfortable? The mini bar was nice to be able to purchase water from our room, especially since the ones in our cooler had melted on the way there (we come from 2.5 hours away). The area was nice & we could walk across the street to a bar & grill where there was music playing after we got back con our own concert. We probably wouldn't stay here again, just because we're night owls & like to rest during the day, but the room itself was decorated nice & homey. Things to note- $100 room hold for incidentals Parking is limited Most of the time, there really isn't a room attendant to talk to if you have a problem. No early check-ins

- John (10/5): - Really enjoyed my stay, not to far from Yosemite where I was visiting and the town was very nice with all the amenities I could ask for.
- Inder (8/5): - Clean easy place to stay with spacious rooms. One thing - they open through French doors to the public areas and street. The street is quiet at night (even on a Friday night which is when we stayed) so it wasn't a problem at all - and I'm a light sleeper with two young kids. That said there are two restaurants right across the street so I suppose on a Saturday it could be loud until they shut.

- Sreenath (8/5): - We were a family of four adults who were trying to visit Yosemite national Park for vacation. This inn in Mariposa was very conveniently located to facilitate our visit to the valley floor one day, and to the glacier point the next day. The room #203 was large and spacious, and had all the amenities except for kitchenette. However, the inn was located smack downtown and most of the shops and restaurants were within walking distance. The only improvement I can recommend is to install a vent fan in the bathroom. Currently there's none and the bathroom gets fogged up after one use.

- Daria (8/5): Cute but a bit worse for wear - We spent one night at the 5th Street Inn in Mariposa. The inn is a renovated historic home from all appearances. The bed was comfortable but the table was tiny and the chairs in the room were very hard. Avoid this property if you can't tolerate that or navigate steps up and down. The shower was functional but showed signs of damage to the faucet handle and a bit of mold. There is very little counter space in the bathroom, but a decent amount of storage in the drawers and cupboards. The staff was helpful, and checkin/checkout were convenient. Overall, the place was decent.

- Loretta (8/5): - Small hotel in the old part of Mariposa. Rooms simple but clean and comfortable. Parking requires travel on steep side streets which can be tricky depending on your vehicle set up. Easy walk to all restaurants and shops.
- Heath (8/5): Pretty Good - Room was clean and check-in was easy. Bed was not very comfortable. Vehicles arriving late shine headlights directly in room and very close to windows. Should have linen service if staying multiple days.

- Don (8/5): - Cute little property in central Mariposa. Looks like an old building that was converted another purpose. There is no pool or breakfast. If you arrive after 9 pm you need to call them to check in. Wi fi works well and the rooms are clean but basic. They have a fridge and microwave and coffee maker.

- David (6/5): - Overpriced for the small room with no breakfast. There was no closet and inadequate space to put your things.
- Kenny (6/5): Examine your room thoroughly - The room was very average. The only negative was we discovered the sofa sleeper had the same sheets from the previous tenant, but the hotel was apologetic and changed the sheets immediately. The room was also a little high in price for what we got, but it was Labor Day weekend.

- Kelly (10/5): 5th street inn stay.. - It was a nice little inn tucked away in Mariposa.. staff was incredibly accommodating.. we enjoyed our stay during our yosemite visit which was only an hour away.. they do like you to check in earlier than most but are willing to work with those of us who cant seem to schedule driving times right... thanks for a wonderfully stay..

- Robert (10/5): Friendly spot in Gold Rush country - Mariposa is a sweet, little town and the 5th Street Inn is a sweet, little place. Our room was large and comfortable and - importantly - QUIET. Service was friendly and welcoming and we certainly feel that we will be back. There are other choices in Mariposa but I doubt any of them are better.
