- Jonas (3/5): Not appropriate place for hosting - Nothing to write home about. 1. Linen was not changed for 7days of my stay.
2. Found a used condom in bed.
3. There's no provision of bathroom soaps, shower gel or lotion.
4. Only 2 toilet papers available for the entire period.
5. Uber not allowed inside the premises regardless of the size and quantity of luggage.
6. They demand money for late check-in and no flexibility to accommodate a client beyond check out despite requests.
7. They reject booking.com payment bookings in favour of their own banking account making it easy for customers to suspect fraud.
8. The whole company managing the property has put money ahead of everything and making customers very vulnerable.
9. There is no power backup during loadshedding.
10. STILL WAITING FOR MY DEPOSIT
- Jibbs (5/5): The host agent company was a disaster!!! - The location is good, Spar is just next building, there you can get literally everything you'll need to make your stay comfortable; Canal Walk Mall is about 5 minutes away, environment is secure and lovely, you can walk your dog peacefully within the neighborhood. The apartment is beautiful and comfortable, you definitely will like it. The host representative (Mr Albert) was very friendly and helpful. There was no alternative power supply, load shedding was a disaster. Cleaning was done only once a week, and that was extremely poor because the trash bin gets full for several days before they come to take it out. The host agent company has no regard for guests, only for money. As at the time of writing this review it's been two weeks since I checked out from the apartment, they still owe me the refundable breakage deposit I made. They asked me for my personal details and bank details inlcuding my international passport, physical address, etc, which can easily be used to impersonate or defraud a person, I did not feel safe giving them those details just as an airbnb, not even a proper hotel, but they use the breakage deposit to set a trap for guests to enable them collect your bank details in the guise of refunding your breakage deposit, I eventually gave it to them and they said it would take 21 days for my refundable deposit to be refunded. That was very distasteful, and my worst experience so far on booking.com for over 10 years of membership. In my opinion, for this particular reason, avoid any property that requests a breakage deposit, except they agree with you that they will hand the cash to you on the day that you check out, if not, just avoid this property.
