- Andrew (4/5): - This Hotel is a low budget quality hotel. My stay consisted of a broken shower head and 2 of the 3 Elevators out of service the entire time and all of them broken for 1 day . Make aware no room safe and proper closet , just 3 knobs on a wall to hang your belongings. No daily room service and underwhelming response from the Manager about these issues should give pause . London is full of better option stays .

Lower level elevators were not working for the entire duration of my stay (5 days), but second set were just a up a short set of stairs. Would have been nice to have help bringing luggage up on the first day or if someone had brought it to my room as I had left luggage at the hotel while I was waiting for check-in, and the room was ready by the time I returned. Overall convenient and central hotel.

But it have great a heat pump that you can control the air conditioning and heat. Very clean. soft comfortable bed and high end towels, and linen. Shower and toilet in room. Breakfast is not included, but in the room, there is a kettle and coffee and tea that you can prepare yourself. Lobby have a water dispenser and cucumber glass water dispenser. Newspaper are available free of charge daily. Excellent.

Location is super convenient - walkable to anywhere within West End, and very close to Holborn tube station. There was a small issue with the curtains in my room, so they changed my room without fuss. Room I stayed in was very small; fine for a solo traveller with small luggage, but would be tricky for two people or if you have a big suitcase. Bed was quite hard, but that may be a personal preference thing.

- Michael (8/5): - The hotel was in a very convenient location. The hotel is very close to the Holborn Station underground which comnects you with London and Heathrow airport very easily. The room is simply functional. It is very small. I was by myself but it would be hard for me to imagine two people in the room. This was my first time in London and I learned that wash cloths, mini refrigerator, microwave, etc are not typically supplied in England. There was also no iron and ironing board in the room. The room was very clean. The hotel was very quiet. The hotel felt very safe. I was also told that the continental breakfast wasn't provided with my room and I would have to pay extra. The hotel did have a menu of food that you could order. I never tried it while I was there. You are also within walking distance of many attractions. If you are just looking for a clean comfortable room with no frills I would recommend it
- Carol (6/5): Good but the breakfast not the best - Room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast just needed a bit more healthy choices as not everyone wants bread or pastries. Not much hot food choices either. Location was prefect for our family trip just a shame there was a loud noise coming from outside but not sure where from.

- Ryan Nelson (4/5): - It feels as if the designer of this hotel room has never stayed in a hotel before and has no idea of the general needs of a hotel guest: 1. A place to sleep 2. A place to get clean and presentable without disturbing my traveling companion. 3. A way to conveniently charge my devices 4. An out of the way place to put my belongings 5. A private bathroom This hotel provides a place to sleep, but fails on all other fronts. The light switch is 6ft from the door. You need a flashlight or have a friend hold the door open for you to find the switch in the dark. There is no shelving, racks, or storage for clothes. The only outlet is 3ft from the bed and 6ft away from the nearest mirror. The room always felt damp. The towels and mats never dried. The AC automatically sets itself to 21C and the buttons do not change the temperature. It is freezing! The bathroom has frosted glass walls that make it difficult to see out, providing the illusion of privacy. Unfortunately, a viewer outside the bathroom can very clearly see in! The room is so small there is no place one can sit where the toilet is out of view! There is only one towel hook. The necessary gap between the glass shower door and the floor allows water to escape the shower and soak the “bath mat”. Due to the limited places to hang and dry things, this mat is always damp. The light switch for the bathroom is next to the bed. Thus review has been shortened to fit length requirements.

- John Edward (8/5): - The hotel is nice, however it is a little confusing when you first walk-in. There is a seating area which made it feel like a restaurant or coffee shop. It’s effectively a hybrid space, and we checked in at the desk in amongst the people eating & drinking. Aside from that, the room was small (as advertised), and therefore you wouldn’t want to do more than 1-2 nights there. Even with a carryon case we were pushed for space. We’ve stayed in similar places and they had a little more in terms of space saving ideas. Would still recommend for a night or two in London.

- Helen (10/5): Great location and hotel - Lovely hotel. Highly recommend. Great location for getting around and handy after a night at the theatre to walk back to. Friendly staff. Room was very clean. I would definitely stay again.

- Jeannette (6/5): - I didn’t like that the room didn’t have enough ventilation. It was really small could barely fit with 2 pple in the room. No hairdryer. Similar size rooms you would find in Asia but you pay in pounds which is the highest currency in the world.

- Laura (6/5): - First and foremost, I was unaware that this was a compact hotel I should’ve read the description thoroughly. I would totally recommend this hotel for a single individual or a couple. However, I was traveling with my husband and my 16 -year-old son upon entering the room. I was in shock on how small it was 150 ft.²,I could not even open my suitcase and lay it flat on the floor the shower was see-through, which was not going to work Seeing that I was sharing a room with my son. The air conditioner was not working. It was extremely hot in the room and we are not allowed to open the windows, I brought this to the attention of the staff, and they were accommodating and able to move us into a slightly larger room the following day ,upon entering the slightly larger room the following day, the air condition was working great and the way that the bed was situated it was blocking the shower glass so this was a better option for a family that does not want to shower in front of each other . The room air condition that wasn’t working was on the ground floor room number six , a friend of mine stayed in this exact room a week prior and had the same complaint of the air conditioning, not working, the OK room that we were moved into was 1006 on the first floor. It was still extremely small but doable for a party of three since we were not spending much time in the room.. again, I want to give praise for the staff helping us make the best of the situation. They were very accommodating.

- Melissa (10/5): - Very interesting types of rooms. I suggest that if you are traveling with family maybe book two rooms. There is absolutely no privacy in the bathroom. Overall we really enjoyed this hotel and the location. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- debbie (8/5): - Good for solo travellers- only book a room with no window if you understand that you are getting a very small but fully functional space. Good for short stays and was priced accordingly
- Joseph (10/5): 100% - I really liked everything about my stay. Very clean amazing staff the room is just a lot smaller than I expected, but I was only there for two nights so it was no big deal and I’m sure when I booked the room it said how many square feet it was and I just didn’t look at it. Regardless, I would stay there again probably just not for more than a couple of days cause I would need a little more space. I do highly recommend though.
- Edward (10/5): - The location of this place is great! 12 minute walk to the British Museum, 15 minute walk to Chinatown for incredible dim sum, 7 minute walk to the theater district. half a block from the Holborn underground station and a straight 50 minute ride back to Heathrow for like $6. Faster and a lot cheaper than the ride share it took to get there.

My stay was only 3 days and I thought the room with no window would not be a problem since I was out most of the day. I will definitely stay at the Z again, but I would prefer a window. It just makes a difference!
- Danielle (6/5): One night only - Small & compact room. Comfy bed & good pillows but thin walls so u hear every flush of a toilet. Ok for one night but wouldn’t recommend for more. Not wardrobe for ur clothes just 2 coat hangers each.
- Antonia (10/5): - We had a lovely stay at this hotel, very easy distance to theatre land. Only negative was the breakfast area / reception were the same area so was a bit chaotic with guests standing around with suitcases causing a bottleneck when trying to have a relaxing breakfast
