Guest Reviews
- Dave (8/5): - Yes
- William (8/5): - Brand new hotel in rural Wyoming. Upton is a cute but very small town, so there are not a lot of amenities. Breakfast was limited, but will expand as their census increases.
- Angel (10/5): - Pretty new hotel. Nothing around it for miles though. Nice , quiet, and very clean.
- Paula (10/5): - Nice new property, very clean. Parking was easy, as was access to rooms. Decent breakfast.
Not too much around, but growing area.
Ida was very helpful! Would stay again.
- William (10/5): - The place brand new and in great condition. The staff were very helpful.
- Robert (10/5): - Clean, newer property, had guest laundry facilities and a good breakfast
- Steven (10/5): - The staff are all incredible. Front desk service was out standing and the breakfast is the best I have ever had staying at this type of place any where in the country! Top notch and a huge thank you to the Iron Creek Inn!
Steve Gonzales
- Celia (10/5): - The staff was super nice and everything was clean!
- Diane (10/5): - Terrific locatation for weary travelers. The bed was very comfortable.
- Xiaojie (10/5): - Approved ! 5 stars experience.
This is best hotel experience we had. 1 year new hotel with guest laundry. Its so clean from the hall way to the room. All the staff i met are super sweet. .
- Jessica (10/5): Great Value. Very Clean - Great stay. Very clean for the price. Would recommend to anyone needing an inexpensive place to stay.
- Holly (10/5): - Hotel was only a year old! Very clean and spacious.
- Claudine (8/5): - Stayed at the hotel 2 nights, although the hotel is very new, and beds were comfortable, they were not as described (sleep number) and breakfast was out of many items. 2 waffle makers and no mix, no milk for cereal and meat on Monday morning was gone by 6:15 am. Staff was friendly
- Dorothy (10/5): - Great place, great people!
- Danice (8/5): Nice, clean room! - Room was great, toilet was not balanced and water pressure was low. Nice, clean room. I would stay again if traveling through.
- Roman (10/5): - Hotel is brand new, located in quite area
- Marina (10/5): - Brand new hotel that still smells like new! Comfortable beds and affordable for our night stay on our way to devil’s tower. Will definitely come back!
- David (10/5): - 👍
- Georgie (8/5): - A very lovely property. Only been open about a year. The lady on front desk was so welcoming and helpful. Hotel had everything you needed. Was a little noisy at night with the trains nearby, but beds were so comfy we still had a great sleep. Would definitely recommend.
- Donette (10/5): - You have to walk all the way to the ends of the building to go upstairs. Why not steps in the middle? Only door to the downstairs main hallway was locked in the morning so I had to go outside to the front door to get in. Glad it wasn’t 40 below! Otherwise, everything else was excellent.
- timothy (10/5): - The staff went above and beyond to help us out and even extended our stay for us.
- Kurt (10/5): - This was a new hotel. A little off the interstate, but well worth it. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. We asked for first floor and were more than gracious to accommodate are request. They had an excellent breakfast also.
- norman g (6/5): - Hotel was clean but the room door lock would not lock. Told the front desk and offered no help, but to have maintenance look at it the next day.
- Julie (10/5): - Great property! Really enjoyed our stay in Upton.
- Aaron (10/5): - Iron creek inn was gem. Our family stayed here for a few nights while visiting the NW Wyoming and South Dakota. There is not much in Upton but this hotel was great. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Thanks!
- Rebecca (10/5): - Our stay was terrific.
- Zijun (10/5): - The facility was new, clean and nice. The stay was excellent.
- Erin (8/5): - The property was definitely new and clean, which was very nice. It’s a little ways out of town and it’s the only thing around. They did have a little convenience store with a couple things to snack on, but nothing that was accommodating to gluten-free.
And there was also nothing gluten-free at breakfast and very minimal options.
I also found it took forever to get hot water to have a shower
- Robert (10/5): - Nice. Clean, quiet, decent breakfast
- Vinay (10/5): - Beautiful property and great customer service.
- Kathryn (8/5): - New property, nice and clean. Not many dining options. Out in country
- elizabeth (10/5): - Wonderful staff, clean room, and good breakfast.
- Stephen (10/5): - This motel just opened about a year ago, so everything is brand new. Located just west of main town business district, it is somewhat remote but very safe and quiet.
- Christine W (8/5): - The hotel was new, clean and very nice, however, if you are elderly and/or have a lot of luggage, be aware that there is no elevator. I always try and remember to request a first floor room or verify there is an elevator. I don't know if i neglected to do so or my request was ignored, but being on the second floor as 77 year old ladies with heavy luggage was extremely inconvenient. I'm not sure why anyone would build a new hotel that wouldn't be convenient for elderly travelers.
- Prudence (10/5): Fantastic place to stay! - The ladies at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. The whole place was
Clean and very comfortable! Breakfast was delicious with many options to fill you up. We would definitely stay here again!
- Meda (8/5): - The first day hot water was gone by 7:30. Second day better I showered at 6:30. Low water pressure both days
- Harlan (10/5): - Was a newer hotel with nice staff. I only stayed one night and didn’t venture out. Clean place
- Karen (10/5): - Its a new hotel. Very clean, friendly staff and comfortable beds. It is close to train tracks but it didnt bother us.
- Kim (10/5): - Wonderful experience!
- Lacie (10/5): - Convenient because it was close to the school and we were there for basketball games.
- Lacie (10/5): - Absolutely amazing staff! Very clean hotel.
- Theresa (10/5): - Staff is so helpful and friendly, Ida & Shelley are great!
- Ronda (10/5): - Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good. Motel is new so in great condition. Snow covered ground but sidewalks clean.
- Robert (10/5): - Awesome
- Larry (10/5): - What a great place friendly staff very clean rooms very comfortable beds and very reasonable prices great continental breakfast highly recommend if your driving through or just need a place to get away for the night
- Theresa (10/5): - The staff is friendly & helpful. we were invited to a Christmas dinner provided for all guests and their staff! Amazing to be treated so well, something you don't experience anymore. I highly recommend this hotel.
- Samuel (10/5): - My family needed a place to stay for a couple of nights while we were visiting nearby family. We caught a cold film the visit and our stay at Iron Creek turned into a recoup day.
My wife was a breastfeeding mother and fighting a sore throat when she came out for breakfast, so she looked rundown. The staff noticed, asked after her, and then went completely out of their way to care for us - I forget all the little ways they provide care. On top of that, Jessica greeted us at breakfast the next day before we left with a gift bag for my wife and the 2 kids (both kids had birthdays that month).
Though the hotel itself is pretty basic, the staff is what made our stay there memorable. Would absolutely stay here again!
- Joseph (10/5): - Staff was awesome, hotel was clean. Would highly recommend this hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Fabulous hotel, newly built. A little out of the town of Upton but a wonderful stay. Really comfortable bed, lovely large room, breakfast was a bonus. Staff all friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.
- Debra (10/5): - The staff were pleasant & interactive. The hotel had been open since May 2024 so everything was new & clean. Breakfast was great.
- Sarah (2/5): - Dirty. Very dirty.
- Gayle (8/5): - In room coffee was very weak.
- Amanda (10/5): - Staff was great and hotel was extremely clean!!
- Laurie (10/5): - Perfectly placed in the middle of our trip!
- siyoung (10/5): - New, Very Clean, Excellent
- Kathryn (8/5): - Brand New hotel. No pool, nothing around. Good breakfast
- Kristine (10/5): Very clean and comfortable! - This is brand new hotel in a cute little town. The beds are very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious! This hotel does not have an elevator. If you have any issues with stairs it’s probably best to request a room on the first floor.
- Mike (10/5): - The area does not have any Sunday evening dining options around.
- Dakota (10/5): - This hotel was amazing and completely adequate. Amazing rooms at an amazing price!
- hajeong (10/5): - It's clean and friendly. Everything is perfect.

- Michael (10/5): - Great value. Good breakfast clean and new
- Michael (10/5): - Clean rooms good Breakfast and price is the best

- H (8/5): - Brand new hotel. Clean and quiet
- Tamara (10/5): Great hotel - Great price, clean, and brand new. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great hotel and location to the Black Hills.
- Stephen (10/5): Stay at Iron Creek - Stay was very good. Room was clean and very comfortable. Room price was very good and location was easy to find and access. Dining options were good for a small town, we eat at Remy’s Diner which was very good! Only negative was room was not very dark at night. Outside lights really illuminated the room and curtains didn’t block it out very well.
- Terri J (8/5): - Room was clean and quiet (except for an occasional train horn). Definitely DIG friendly 😁. They were having internet and tech difficulties, but staff was very responsive and helpful.
- Troy (10/5): - Nice new hotel!
- Warren (10/5): - Just needed a nice place to sleep for a few days and it was great
- Curt (8/5): No elevator - No elevator in buld so is someone has a little difficulty with stairs it’s tough. Stairs to go up stairs is at the ind of the has by exit. Very poor layout.
- John (6/5): - This is a brand new property as of mid-2024 and is in very good shape. It's plopped down in a rural area, maybe a mile from the center of tiny Upton, and nearby services are limited. The hotel itself probably would rate as 2.5 stars.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very Nice - The room was clean and spacious. Very friendly staff. The shower water pressure was very low. Overall 9/10.
- Diane (10/5): - The staff are great, and very helpful. There breakfast is very good they actual have more things then your typically hotel breafast. The room was nice and bed very comfortable. It is very quite. Highly recommend this place.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great sleep at Iron Creek Inn - New hotel, everything is great, staff are friendly and helpful, only thing about our stay is the water pressure is weak, it took a lot long to rinse in the shower
