Brian (10/5): - The was never any ice in the ice maker. Pool was ice cold. Continental Breakfast was just Yogurt and Bagels
Brittany (10/5): - Parking was easy. The beds were comfy and there were extra pillows and blankets in the room. The TV with Roku/Netflix/Disney Plus options were also convenient!

Carla (6/5): - The room was under construction and we were not told about that before booking. Drywall sanding dust was all over the walls. The toilet needed to be cleaned. The bathroom door would not close completely because it hit the carpet strip. The refrigerator is quite small, but we were thankful to have one to use. The remote was missing from the room and we had to request a replacement, which they promptly provided. There was a huge pile of mattresses behind the building, which everyone sees as they enter the parking lot (there is no parking lot entrance at the front). I wonder how long they've been sitting there. Our mattress did not seem to be new. The continental breakfast was quite small. We did not partake. I'm not sure we will be back to this property. It seems to keep going down in quality with each change of ownership.

Ginny (6/5): Stay at Aysa le Valley Inn 8/21/25 - Room was nice except for ac . It was either freezing or off , no mid range . The pool was very green and hot tub was down for maintenance. Could improve on the pool side furniture also . Disappointed about pool and especially the hot tub . Continental breakfast was very slim , no juice or hot foods Ice machine never had more than a scoop of ice in it . It was expected to buy ice at $2 bag These are things I believe we paid for and did not get .
pam (6/5): trouble at check in - Overall the stay was good. I had trouble when I arrived with the booking. The motel had me down with a higher price than what I had reserved. It took some discussion and having and talking to the manager, but it was resolved. For some reason, their system had me down as an Expedia reservation not Hotels.com. My emailed receipt saved me.
Kelly (8/5): - Convenient stay for Au Sable River activities. AK was very accommodating for our 130am arrival, room was clean & beds were comfortable. Great water pressure, very hot water if you need it. Place could use new pillows, so best bring your own, and the “continental” breakfast is just yogurt & packaged bagels/muffins. Highly recommend The Grind Coffee shop for variety of coffees & breakfast. The Riverhouse & Ma Deeters were great for dinner.

Angela (6/5): - We have stayed here many times in the past. This was our first stay since the new owner took over. For the most part the new owner has kept everything the same. However the breakfast that is included is very limited, and a quarter of what was originally offered so do not rely on it. They also do not restock it as it runs out, you have to ask for things. The rooms are not cleaned daily, so you have to ask for new towels or anything you may have used to be replenished. They were in the process of some of the mattresses as there was a pile of old mattresses by the dumpster however the mattresses in our room were still older. The rooms could also use newer or better pillows. Our room was clean and smelled fresh, as well as the hallway and grounds were cleaned too. There were some people that were part of our group that had issues with their rooms and some were handled and corrected right away others was not acceptable on how they handled it. Overall and compared to other places to stay in the area this is still the best option and we did not have a bad experience. It was just missing the friendly, welcoming owners and their touches that we we're use to when staying here.

Russell (2/5): - Arrived at the hotel and was assigned a room. No problems there. Then went up to the room to find the room hadn’t been cleaned. The bed was not made with sheets from prior visitor. Bathroom was not clean either. Went back to the check-in desk and informed the staff. They assigned another room. I then went fly fishing and then returned to the hotel. Upon arrival late at night I discovered someone was in my room! A lady and her two grand daughters with my belongings still in the room. We contacted staff and had to wait several minutes before staff arrived back at the desk. Finally received a room reassignment. Fortunately none of my belongings were missing. The staff apologized and indicated a partial refund will be provided. Needless to say, a very poor experience!

Harold (6/5): - The man who checked me in was unwelcoming. He did not give any information about the breakfast or its location. He gave no information about how to operate the TV, and there was none in the room. The breakfast was limited in choice and provided in a factory-like lunch room given no attention to decoration or friendly ambience. My room itself was clean, functional, and well-appointed. The room was the best part of my stay.
Dave (8/5): - Overall, I think this place is okay. The property (building, rooms, parking lot, etc.) just looked and felt old and tired. There was nothing exciting about this place that I experienced. However, the room was clean, everything I needed was available, and worked. I would stay there again if I had too, but I wouldn't recommend it unless it was the cheapest and closest hotel for your needs.

Andrew (2/5): - Guy at the front desk was rude, he closed the pool more than 10 minutes early and he knew we were coming down for a quick swim. When i told him that we wanted a quick dip in the pool, he gave me a disgusting look and said the pools closed. This is not the room i paid for, all the furniture is beat up and broke. The bed has stains all over it. I will never come back here again. False advertisement at the Ausable Valley Inn
Devon (8/5): Great experience until the end! - Our experience was really great (clean/tidy room, check in staff was friendly and helpful) until the end of our stay. The housekeeper on the day of check out was upset with his co workers (something he stated himself) and was very rude and uptight about our check out time which was already handled by the check in/counter staff.
Zachary (8/5): - Solid accommodations for the price. Beds are a bit firm and breakfast is disappointing but really for what they charge, hard to ask for much more. I would stay here again

William (10/5): A very nice place to stay if you need to go to Mio - The hotel is awesome and just a few hundred feet from the river. We visited in late December 2024 so we didn't get a chance to actually go down to the river, but there are other places to get to the river then from the hotel.

If you wanna watch TV, you better have a Netflix, YouTube TV, or Disney membership (luckily we did); however, the room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and staff was readily available.

Remotes for both tv were missing/ staff did bring one for the rv in bed room right up. They offered a breakfest but it was just bagels and muffins, better than nothing. Wasn’t real impressed overall, would not be a place I spend that much to stay again

Insane. And the breakfast. If you like bagels your all set. The beds are awful and is not friendly at all.

The surrounding area was so laid back and peaceful. It was located very close to a beautiful canoe launch. Over all 5 stars and I dont say that often.
