• David (10/5): clean and welcoming - We were initially swayed by the ample parking. However, we were very pleased with the friendly welcome. The room was clean and well appointed. A nice bar and great Indian style restaurant, with delicious food completed the package.
• Richard (8/5): Nice clean room - Stayed for 1 night, room was clean and comfortable. We didn't eat while at the hotel, so cannot review food.

• Andrew (4/5): - The drawers in the bedroom were dirty, especially where the hairdryer is kept - full of coffee stains and hair. When you closed the bathroom door the corner of the room was full of someone else's bodyhair. The room also had an overpowering smell of Jeyes fluid.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Overpriced currently - needs a refurb. - When we arrived we rang the bell several times and no one came. Then had to ring the hotel to have a lady arrive. She was lovely but the service was very slow waiting before she arrived. The hotel from the outside was stunning but the inside needs refurbishing. The room itself was pretty looking but the air con was broken, no fan, no iron, no hairdryer and there was lipstick on the mirror. There was an open bin in the bathroom (could really do with a pedal closed one.) The shower gel etc was lovely but the bathroom was a little run down and the shower curtain needed replacing. It just needs a bit of a refurb (the wires were hanging out from beneath the TV, the radiator was all scuffed up and the walls needed a paint really.) Overall it was an ok stay but I wouldn't say it was value for money.

The breakfast was very poor, we had to pre-order the night before including the time, still had to wait another 20 minutes, every seemed to be deep fat fried.

• Trevor (10/5): Nice place - Restaurant was closed on a Monday. Gutted I was. But had food from just eat. Have room service for my breakfast no extra charge. Defo stay again when restaurant is open defo. Lovely food here and staff lovely

The rooms on arrival were clean but freezing and the heating system is outdated ineffective. This being said, for a clean place to say with low expectations, it’s fine

Rooms are looking tired and could do with updating, however for the price it’s ok and will do for a place to sleep for the night. The restaurant was good, cheap and food was tasty. Breakfast was substandard, would not recommend
• Peter (4/5): - No heating in bedroom when we arrived. No heating at all in bathroom. Really comfortable bed. Very helpful member of staff bought extra duvet and blanket. Gurkha dining room - very large portions and charming staff. Overall, very basic and bland hotel.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Somewhere to put your head down for the night. - The lady at the front desk was lovely and welcoming. The room needed tlc, parts of the culving was glued on and cracked.. did not like the vent above the bed as this blew dust down onto the bed. The Indian restaurant was great, food was brilliant but the waitress just seemed fed up and abit rude which let the restaurant down. Overall, stay was okay.
• Andrew (8/5): - Slightly unusual with an eastern flavour. In house Indian restaurant and the food was really good. They do some English food, one of our party had fish and chips which was very good. Restaurant closes at 10.30 ish. Rooms good, clean, very good shower. Good parking on site.

Rooms are clean, with tea making facility, good size flat screen tv, etc. Negatives: Duvet could be larger. No toilet brush. Hair dryer available but only upon request. Overall, we enjoyed a two night stay.

• Graham (4/5): - Overall experience wasn't that great, room looked like it needed refurbishing, the bathroom needs some plumbing work due to the shower head spraying out the back, hitting the ceiling and inturn flooding the bathroom / soaking anything within a 5 ft radius. Towels had to be used to stem the flood from encroaching any further. For the price and reviews, i expected better.

For £12 I expected proper coffee, not nescafe sachets and hot water. The toast was very thin, cheap sliced bread. Just a few tweaks would make it so much better.

Très mauvaise surprise que le restaurant n'offrait que des plats indiens car nous n' aimons pas cette cuisine. Les informations données sur le restaurant ne le précisent pas. Malgré ceci le dîner était acceptable et pour ceux qui aiment les plats épicés même bien. Le personnel était très sympa, même si il y avait des problèmes de compréhension, même pour nous des anglophones. Pour nous, les matelas étaient trop durs. La chambre était spacieuse et meublée convenablement.
• David (8/5): Pleasant dog friendly hotel - Nice hotel, welcoming staff. Dog friendly with lots of area to walk the dog. Excellent evening meal in the attached Indian restaurant. Breakfast was disappointing though pleasantly surprised when arrived home and the cost of 1 breakfast had been refunded.

• Richard (10/5): I would dtay again - very friendly ladies at the front desk. Room was very clean, and my only gripe was that the Body/Hand wash dispenser in the shower was empty - nobody likes getting out of the shower to find soap from the sink. Restaurant was great. As an American, Nescafe does not count as morning coffee though!
