Guest Reviews
- Uta (10/5): - Very nice, very clean. Super location, We enjoyed our stay very much and can highly recommend it.
- Michael (8/5): - Convenient and interesting building, thermostat somewhat difficult to see, bed too soft, good amenities and quiet
- Susie (10/5): Comfort - Close enough to main area but nicely positioned in neighborhood
- Frances (10/5): - Perfect all around! We loved our room. We loved the honor bar, the coffee, the view of the intracoastal. We were only there for a one night getaway and this was wonderful. We will be back!
- Colleen (10/5): - Easy in and out!
- Lynn (10/5): - Loved this boutique hotel! Beautiful old house, with all the modern amenities. Lovely room with a huge bathroom. A self serve wine bar and coffee bar was a nice touch, The location was great. Highly recommend!
- Grady (10/5): - Very nice and charming boutique hotel
- Catherine (10/5): Historic House with Modern Posh - What a cool vibing place to rest while visiting Beaufort! All the excellence of staying in a historic home combined with every creature comfort modern amenities along for the ride! The heart pine floor boards of varying widths creak which only adds to the charm of the stay! A two over two preacher’s house originally means that there are no fancy architectural embellishments, but the soaring ceilings and ample windows remind one of days gone by. I loved the honor bar and took my glass of wine to the top porch and sat up above the palmettos…did the same thing in the morning with my coffee from the coffee bar. Lovely place! Lovely stay!
- Gary (10/5): - An older home turned into a very quiet place to stay
- Adrian (10/5): - Clean and cozy
- Wayne (6/5): - The property was nice, they are still in the
Process of doing the home. A couple of suggestions :
The tv was all streaming, I would add cable.
A Big item; there is mole smell in the house, it affected my Partner. They are trying to eliminate
The mold I don’t believe they will be successful.
I think they are trying. But, I would not stay there again.
I have stayed in Hundreds of places
around the world.
- Crystal (10/5): The Dell’s stay - Amazing place to stay. The staff got us in quick made the process extremely simple. The experience of staying in a house that old was out of this world. Highly recommended!!!
- Sarah (10/5): - Loved everything! We will definitely be staying here again!
- Toni (10/5): - Beautiful inn, close enough to walk to the waterfront, but far enough away to be quiet at night. Easy check in, comfortable and spacious rooms.
- Michael (10/5): - Nice and clean. Would stay again
- Stephen (8/5): - Being that I did not fully read the description I guess I should not be dissatisfied that this was not a BnB. It would be nice if bikes were offered to guest to peddle around the town. I would suggest that the bathroom window (Room1) be made more private. Our room and bathroom were beautiful and grandeur. It is a short walk to the historic downtown and we really enjoyed our stay.
- Chad (10/5): - Excellent
- Cynthia (10/5): - Fabulous Stay
- Adam (10/5): - Texting with staff was odd- but they were VERY responsive. Any doubt I had about no staff on property was quickly gone by their text responsiveness.
- brett (10/5): - Beautiful, renovated house with huge rooms, huge bathrooms, nice walk to and from Bay Street for Dinner. Ice machine, wet bar and coffee bar are a nice touch. Highly recommend and completely enjoyed.
- Hanadi (10/5): - Gorgeous room! So pleasantly surprised.
- M (10/5): - We loved it! The bed and comforter was like butter. It was quiet and clean. We will definitely come back.
- STACEY (10/5): - This place is quiet and gorgeous. Very nice Hugh end finishes. The bed and pillows were comfortable! Loved our stay here! Across the street is a beautiful view of the marshes.
- Gary (10/5): - Very quaint house in a perfect location. Views off the balconies were very nice. The bed was very comfortable with large bedrooms. We were all very happy with Circa 1785 and would stay there again if we travel to Beaumont SC in the future.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful property I loved my room and the view out the windows!!
- Walter Brown (8/5): - The easy check in and wraparound porch
- Ethan (10/5): - The rooms were as advertised and beautiful. Very clean, nice sheets, spacious, and historic. The bathrooms are fully renovated with nice tile and all the amenities. The whole experience was great, and we will be coming back!
- Giovani (10/5): - Love it will be my spot when I’m in this area
- Tracy (6/5): - The property is nice, but I was disappointed with the room. The posts on the bed made it impossible to have a clear view of the television. There was no door on the bathroom door which made privacy impossible. The shower had no door which combined with no door on the bathroom made our showers freezing. The water pressure was also low making our entire shower experience poor. Once again, we were very disappointed with our stay.
- Christine (10/5): Great stay! - Great stay! Room was comfortable. Great location. Easy booking, check-in, check-out. Loved the complimentary coffee & wine on the back veranda overlooking the marsh. Would recommend & would stay again.
- Michele (10/5): - I loved this property and process. However, they could use one extra towel rack for drying towels in the bathroom and chairs on the front porch to enjoy the sun in the afternoon. The bed was so comfy!!!! Other than that, it was really sweet! And the texts we got from the hospitality company were greatly appreciated!
- Kimberly (10/5): Romantic Location for Anniversary Stay - Offering a romantic location for our one night anniversary stay in Beaufort, Circa 1785 ticked all the boxes. I am getting used to the style of this type of STR - in a home without any host. (At first, being an Airbnb host myself, I was put off but now appreciate this type of stay.) Particularly impressed with the clear communication at this property, and with the bountiful supply of amenities.
- Howard (8/5): - It was nice. It was geared more for older generation except that there was no elevator to access upstairs rooms.
- Jerome (8/5): AI hotel management? Not ready for prime time. - The experience at this 'self service' hotel would have been five stars across the board except for the fact that we would not provided with the codes for the front door or a room. Upon arrival, I had to call the company and was told that the appropriate person would respond within 60 seconds. This did not happen and we waited for 30-45 minutes for a reply When I emailed the company as directed if we had a problem, their mailbox was full. Just as we were preparing to leave in search of another hotel, an email with the codes arrived. Otherwise, the room was clean and freshly made up, there was an adequate supply of towels and our stay overall was quite pleasant, indeed much above average. I would book again, and hopefully by then the system will have been improved.
- Mollie (10/5): - We loved this property! The rooms were so beautiful!
- Ted (10/5): - Nice place. Hope to be back. Just odd that we never met anyone that worked at circa 1785. Everything was remote. Which made it challenging when we had thermostat issues
- Daniel (10/5): - Excellent property and location!
- joseph (10/5): - Delightfuly surprised we would definitely stay again the most comfortable bed ever, very clean very spacious, great communication on check-in checkout
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Large space, convenient to town , should leave bottled water for guests
- emily (4/5): - This is an old historic home that was remodeled into a small hotel With five suites. We had 3 rooms, our friends found dirty robes and wet towels in his room. We discuss with the owner and was promised to get a refund of some percentage. I texted and followed up but nothing from the owner. The sheets and beds are nice and comfortable. We had the biggest suite and it was nice although the couches is dirty and should be steam Clean! Nice decor
- John Philip (8/5): Short visit - Spacious room. Very clean. Very good location
WiFi is a little iffy if you need high speed.
But it’s clean and spacious.
- WILLIAM (10/5): Beautiful Suite - Beautiful unit with nice extra touches / contactless entry worked well
- Jeremy (10/5): - My wife and I enjoyed our stay in this unique and historic setting. The room was spacious and everything was clean and comfortable. We will definitely consider another stay.
- Kristina (10/5): - The room was huge and very comfortable. The shower was also very large and had great water pressure. Perfect place to stay for a show at USCB and walkable to everything.
- Alexander (10/5): - Beautiful property close to downtown.
- mary (8/5): - You can not compare this property to hotels, resorts, B&B, etc. it’s unique and has charm.
- Laura (8/5): - Nice historical building within a ten minute walking distance to restaurants and museums. The room was large and the bed comfortable. The complementary glass of wine and coffee was a nice touch!
- Carlan (10/5): - Excellent!
- Stacy (10/5): - Our room was exceptional and spacious. Bedding luxurious. The self serve coffee bar and wine bar was perfect touch.
Only Issue was with continued hot water in shower.
Host was quick to answer any questions.
- Charles (10/5): Anniversary charm - This house is special I mean built 1785. Unique experience from a traditional hotel or bnb. House is in great shape and great part of history and southern charm.
Very comfortable and clean.
- Angela (10/5): - Everything. Everything even
- Stanley (10/5): - There’s no onsite staff. Room information texted/emailed to you prior to check. Restaurants are walkable and downtown area small and quaint
- Janice (8/5): - This is a nice place, but don’t care for the setup with codes - no one on site! Door on bathroom had windows?!?! TV setup stinks!
- Ronald (10/5): Charming and Clean - We went to Beaufort for our anniversary and had an amazing stay at Circa. It’s an old souther mansion divided into luxury sweets. It’s in walking distance to downtown and is very clean and charming. We would stay here again.
- Pablo (10/5): - Very nice property, hosts are fabulous… Thank you!
- Robert (10/5): Charming stay - The house is beautiful and has great charm. Just understand that there is no front desk or help for service. If you run out of toilet paper, don’t know how you would get more except by request via text. There was no cable TV for local news . Also, they should supply body wash. Not a major problem, just a suggestion. The hotel was in a great location. You could walk to restaurants. There was no breakfast but a cute cafe a block away. I would definitely stay again.
- Cristina (10/5): - I liked the modern style of the room, the close proximity to the dining and shopping area.
- Danny (10/5): - These people did the right thing for me.
- carol (8/5): - No internet
- Carol (10/5): - Beautiful room and comfortable bed. The street noise was extremely loud.
- Kevin (10/5): - Outstanding place! Super clean, exquisite bedding and bathroom. Coffee bar, wine center….don’t stay anywhere else!
Must visit!
- Bruce (10/5): - Could not have had a better stay.
- Paul (10/5): Pleasant Beaufort Stay in style and comfort - A very pleasant stay for a very somber trip for a family funeral. It was easy keyless entry with a very communicative team. The amenities were great, particularly ample high quality morning coffee and chilled water bottles. Safe off-street parking and close walk to downtown and church.
- charles (10/5): - The property was easy to access and reach. Very clean and cozy.
- Kristin (10/5): - Beautiful and clean! Wonderful check in process.
- Emily (10/5): - Great place to stay for a weekend getaway
- David (10/5): - Just Beautiful.
- John (10/5): - Stay was perfect. Owner made room available before check in time. Enjoyed the extra perks - wine and coffee.
- Debby (10/5): - We loved this place! It is impeccably clean, the furnishings are beautiful, and it had extra surprise amenities like a coffee bar and a wine bar. Super comfortable beds. It is within walking distance of several great restaurants and coffee shops. This is our new favorite place to stay in Beaufort.
- Katie (10/5): Wanna keep this place a secret! - Beautifully done rooms, and I love the history they kept in the home. Despite historic charm this place has all the amenities of a luxury room at a hotel. Very clean and easy check in with texts providing codes. They also went above and beyond sending messages to see how you were doing throughout the duration of your stay. This will be a top choice when I return to Beaufort.
- Paul (10/5): Amazing refuge from sombre funeral - Communication was solid throughout; shower larger than photos and so relaxing; one could get lost in the comfortable bed, and the common area coffees and waters, etc., really hit the spot on a hot Summer trip.
- ROBERT D (8/5): - No staff on duty. No opportunity for early check in or late departure because everything was automated and communication via text. Lacked landscaping. Otherwise satisfactory.
- Heidi (10/5): - Beautiful self-serve property. Our room was very large with a sitting area, and a bathroom so big you could roller skate in it. Remember your key codes, as I almost locked myself out on the back porch for a while. Would definitely stay here again, and good location to walk downtown. On a busy street, but white noise machines in the room. Honor bar for happy hour. Great place.
- Coleen (8/5): - The rooms were spacious & well appointed. Thank you.
- simone (10/5): - Absolutely beautiful suite. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping.
- Mary (10/5): - Very happy with this last-minute booking. The room is clean, spacious, and lovely. Great shower and the bed was incredibly comfortable with soft linens and plenty of pillows. All questions are answered quickly via text after check in. Will definitely stay here again!
