Guest Reviews
- Mark (10/5): - Fabulous accommodation and location. Communication was perfect and timely and kept the entire stay stress free. The apartment was beautiful and had everything we needed. Could not have asked for a better location in Montreal. Sights and attractions, walking tours and wonderful restaurants were all just steps away. When we return to Montreal this is where we will stay.
- Susan (10/5): - Minor point-if there is coffee supplied, I would expect sugar/creamer. Luckily I noticed before needing my early morning cup! Otherwise a beautiful place.
- PETER (10/5): - Wonderfully located in the heart of Old Montreal with easy access to plenty of shopping, dining, and historic sites. The apartment has all the basics and even includes a washer and dryer. The management company is extremely responsive which was one of the best features.
- Fatma (6/5): - Great location, terrible comments with Luxury in Transit and payment processing
- Steve (10/5): - Awesome location and the apartment is beautiful. Would definitely stay here again.
- Cameron (10/5): - Wonderful!
- M (10/5): - Very little free parking options- had to unload and walk couple blocks away to the location and pay to park underground. Everything else was fantastic!
- Hosang (10/5): - Great location. TV not working and internet connection was sketchy
- Missa (10/5): - Clean, spacious apartment! Great location. Will stay here again.
- Jonathan (10/5): - Fantastic location in old town, spacious and modern apartment, and has everything you need (from coffee pods, to shampoo / conditioner, to pots and pans in kitchen).
- Don (10/5): - The place was amazing. Loved it and was a great location.
- Remi (10/5): - Premises very awesome and supler clean! Felt like at home!
- Colby (10/5): - Great spot, super convenient location!
- Andaleeb (10/5): - Love this place - favorite place to stay in the old port now. We’ll be back!
- William (8/5): - Bed was not that comfortable but other than that it was a good time and the location was great
- Catherine (8/5): - Well located if you want to be in the middle of the Old Port action and dont have a car.
Well decorated but shower drain doesnt evacuate, shortage on towels and very loud depending on the unit youre in.
Team was very responsive when we asked to change unit due to noise. We moved right away to no view but quiet, which we needed.
- Kristy (8/5): - Location was fantastic! It was amazing to open the door and step right out onto Place Jacques Cartier! Great restaurants and close to many attractions. We were able to walk or bike to almost all of our destinations in the city; even longer walks were very enjoyable and flew by quickly.
Apartment was true to the pictures, beautiful and well lit. Unfortunately ours faced an alley and dumpster area which was an unpleasant view and came with some unwanted noise. We would have loved a view out over the square, but understand that not all apartments can come with a great view.
Two things were missing that puts this property at 4 stars instead of 5: The biggest frustration was that there were only two towels. I would consider it standard to have four towels for a two-person room. I read this complaint in other reviews and was disappointed to see that the property has not made this change. It is a cheap luxury to skimp out on in such a beautiful apartment! It seemed too small an issue to call and complain about, but I would suggest that more towels be added, as well as an extra towel bar. There is certainly space in the bathroom for it! The only other thing I wish the room had was a throw blanket for the couch that could double as an extra blanket on the bed if needed. I do hope the property takes these two complaints into consideration! But otherwise, we loved the apartment and would absolutely stay again.
- Rossana (10/5): - Hermosa. Super apartamento!! Bien equipado. La pasamos bárbaro Solo le faltó una manta para el sillón.
- Wav*y (8/5): - Overall stay was good. Few minor things that couldn't be helped like the person above walking back and forth for
Merci !
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great location - Loved it. Would stay again.
- V (10/5): - Great thank you
- V (10/5): - Superbe endroit, quelle vue sur la place Jacques Cartier et la grande roue!
Des levés de soleil inspirant... Nous reviendrons!
- V (10/5): - Great stay
- Majid (10/5): - Property was much bigger than I expected. The loft style room made it feel very homey and you are next to so many food options in old Montreal. Everything was clean and comfortable. Make sure you bring your own food and water as I believe they only left some coffee pods but youre right next to 100 food spots so its no problem.
- Allyson (10/5): - Very walkable, and vibey area. Beautiful location and clean room. Easy check in
- Dale (8/5): Great location & room, but very loud - The place was great. The location is perfect for old Montreal. The ensuite washer & dryer are great too. But I was right beside the alley and just one floor above. The restaurant next door was moving the bins constantly from 530 am on. Or they were receiving orders really early. So, it was very hard to sleep, even with ear plugs in. On the last night another room was blaring their tv so loudly I could hear it across my whole apt.
- Gordon (10/5): - Great property, very clean and nicely decorated.
The area is very central, it’s walkable to many restaurants and tourist destinations.
- Malaurie (8/5): - Beautiful place!! Loved everything about except the bed, incredibly uncomfortable and the sheets were like sandpaper.
- Verified traveler (10/5): I will be a regular guest - Loved everything about it. Beautiful building and room. Very clean. Bed was comfortable. Location is in the heart of Old Montreal. There is some street noise, but it was no bother to us. We most definitely would recommend this to friends and we are planning on coming again.
- John (10/5): Clean and flexible - My wife is in the hospital and hotel was very accommodating and flexible
- John (10/5): - Excellent service et communication. J’y relaxe
- Robin (10/5): - Great room, with kitchen in the heart of old Montreal. Was able to walk everywhere. Perfect location. We read that it could be noisy given the location but perhaps because of time of year (mid Nov), it wasn't an issue. You can't park there but we could drop off luggage in front and then go park where property manager recommended.
- Mika (10/5): - The location was amazing with a gorgeous view of the Ferris wheel. It made my stay in Montreal feel truly magical!
- Emiliano (10/5): - Excellent apartment, everything automated for the enter and leaving, good communication and helpful owners. Excellent choice to stay in Montreal.
Street has a lot of singers and dancers, so a little loud to sleep during the day, but they provide ear plugs as well if you need them. Thank you!!
- Ahmed (2/5): - The smell of that bed and sofa were so bad I couldn’t sleep all night they smell like sweat , it was such a horrible experience
- Kaitlin (8/5): - The location is amazing, right in the heart of Old Montreal and walkable to all of the restaurants and shops. Luxury Transit was very easy to communicate with and check-in/check-out was very simple. I withheld a star in the overall experience because I wanted to share feedback about the “personal touch”. For customer experience it can go a long way to add an extra touch. The big one is having more than 2 towels for a multiple night stay, but a couple bottles of water in the fridge, a friendly note, blankets for the couch, etc. Also to note, the pillows were quite uncomfortable and the rooms looking out to the alleyway, you need the complimentary earplugs because the businesses do their recycling at 4AM (throwing glass bottles and rolling bins around the cobblestone). Otherwise we enjoyed the access to the area!
- margaret chandra (4/5): - Nice room but be prepared for partying outside until early morning. I didn’t sleep 3 nights in a row because of the loud music outside. This is a tourist party zone.
- Alana (10/5): - Location was amazing!!! Loved everything about this condo and would highly recommend!! Would definitely stay again!!
- Lisa (10/5): - Loved the location and the place. Great customer service.
- Patrizia (10/5): - Beautiful place and super clean
- Daniel (8/5): - Fantastic location but amenities need attention. TV does not work and all wall outlets in the bedroom did not work thus can’t charge phones overnight. Bedroom also much colder than living room. Did not provide paper towels. Other than that, nice property and modern furniture.
- Nathaly (8/5): - Manette de tv ne fonctionnait pas. Peut-être changer les batteries. Lit un peu dur. Somme tpute, très bien quand même!
- Carolyn (6/5): - The property is well located if you want to be in the heart of Old Port (very tourist oriented which can be good and bad). The unit faced onto Jacques-Cartier Plaza which is very lively (and can be loud) especially in the evening and early morning (with work crews). I did not like that the property had a streaming only TV availability (you could only watch if you provided your own streaming service) and there were no instructions for the coffee/ espresso maker. It would have been helpful to have basic information for temperature control, nearest grocery, and coffee maker. It was well decorated and clean.
- Raquel (10/5): - It’s beautiful, clean and well located
- Mirtha (10/5): - Great location. Beautiful apartment in a nice old building.
- Calvin Burleigh (10/5): - We had friendly, quick & efficient results with property manager Jasmine and her on site team. The entire property has been professionally & tastefully updated top to bottom complete with sprinkler systems throughout, elevator and two fire escapes. Centrally located within Old Montreal, Maison Place Jacques-Cartier was a clean and safe home base for us and we will definitely stay there again!
- John (8/5): - Great location
- Fredric (10/5): - A great, functional, clean and comfortable apartment in a great location.
- Rebecca (10/5): A perfect stay in Old Montreal! - The location was as good as it gets for a stay in Old Montreal. Check in was easy and our room was extremely comfortable. We will absolutely look to stay here again on our next visit!
- Susan (6/5): - There was a lightbulb missing in the bathroom, insufficient lighting. I didn’t feel comfortable using the comforter as I felt it was not laundered-no extra bedding provided. Lack of a decent coffee maker. Definitely would not consider this lodging as luxury.
- Sebastien (10/5): - Perfectly placed in the heart of old Montreal !
- Donna (10/5): - Right in the heart of the Square surrounded by restaurants, crafters and very talented busters. We didn’t have a vehicle and didn’t need one! The noise level was enjoyable and stopped at a reasonable hour. The condo was spacious, clean, modern with comfortable bed and lovely washroom. We couldn’t figure out how to use Google TV but also didn’t inquire for assistance either. Not there to watch TV! Could have used an iron/steamer but again didn’t inquire. Would be back in a heartbeat. Communication was spot on
- Marvin (8/5): - Parking is difficult and expensive
- Alexandre (10/5): - Nous avons passés un séjour mémorable dans la suite qui a dépassé largement nos attentes !!!
- jaime (10/5): - The apartment was very clean and in a great location. Its clear that there is a high level of attention to detail when furnishing the apartment. Everything matches perfectly.
Location is great and check in was easy.
Our only suggestion is for those who need an iron there isnt one. Also, regarding parking its better to search around, theres alot of options surrounding.
- Sarah (10/5): - The apartment was spacious and parking at the science center was easy. Great walkable location and close to Bixi bike station with access to many trails. Kitchen was nice, but seemed more equipped for serving carry out than cooking in.
- Véronique (10/5): - Vraiment très bien situé, très propre, comme sur les photos
- Russell (10/5): - Beautiful building and apartment with new and modern style.
- Russell (10/5): - Absolutely the finest housing possible. Location, amenities, cleanliness, modern style and design. We would recommend this place to anyone and will return in two days to finish our vacation in Montreal.
- Sarah (10/5): - Beautiful spot and walking distance to bars and restaurabt. Picturesque! Easy parking at the science centre as well :)
- Sar (10/5): - We absolutely loved this place! So central to Vieux-Montréal, you just walk out the main door and you’re on the Main Street with hundreds of shopping and dining options within a 5 min walk. Will definitely be coming back in the future when I’m in the city. The access codes are super easy to use and fun. This place gives you a very homey vibe and sense of independence when staying with freedom to come and go off the street as you please. Only issue we had for those who are driving here, was finding parking! The ‘hotel’ is on a pedestrian street which makes it very convenient once you’re here but getting there is a bit tricky. They recommend parking at the science centre although you can only stay there for one night (24hrs from arrival) then need to move it. If you make the same mistake as us and forget you’ll end up paying $80 for staying an hour over. There’s parking options in the surrounding area just all at least a 10 minute walk away with all of your luggage.
- Diana (8/5): Perfect location for just one night. - Great location on a busy square. You cannot drive up to the hotel, so you need to find a nearby side street on which to unload and then walk to the hotel. But municipal parking is only five minute walk.
- LILI (8/5): - Location was excellent!
