The difference is that I had my wife & two kids fly to HK this time to join me to enjoy a happy weekend. Appreciate hospitality of the hotel. It upgraded us without additional charge to a suite room with thrilling view of the city. Clean room, spacious lobby at 19/F, modern facility and polite room service contribute a really amazing experiences of stay in Hopewell Hotel.

The concierge was very helpful for all our transport needs. We will be staying here again - highly recommend. Thank you Hopewell hotel staff for such a fabulous stay!

The hotel sits atop a mall which turned out to be very convenient, especially the FoodParc, despite the additional time it takes to get in and out of the hotel. The service was excellent and I appreciated being upgraded to a suite in the middle of the night on the second night of my 4-night stay after i smelled cigarette smoke coming through the air con into my room - thank you Hopewell! Would definitely stay again!

- Francis (6/5): Disappointed. ‘hardwares’ NW but need improve CE - One of new and high capacity hotels in HK island side, rooms are new, fresh and unusually ‘generous’ in sizes relatively to others of the same price range… Lobby is new, looks ‘grand’ BUT unfortunately, lack of real seating capacity for waiting guests to check-in, NOT to mention after 19th (or 1floor if you arrived on lvl18, but since hotel share same lifts among the shopping floors…its a ‘vertical’ city design concepts within the building; )transit floors from lifts ride, means that (with my humble experiences, i had stayed in this new hotel more than 3occasions in past 6months) it lacks of REAL 5 stars hotel substances, essences and experiences for most guests... But then again customers are not paying 5stars budget for the room…Need to go beyond the ‘look’ and some staff to need do further basic hospitality trainings in term of manners. Otherwise, good potentials to absorbs some of the area’s hospitality businesses…in short: As good as 3.5stars experiences and prices for 5stars ‘skin-deep-look’ and selfies for groups and family…(2cents comments: romantic couple or more veteran travellers types have BETTER choices in and around the area ;) FF Frequent travellers of Japan, HK, Asia and Europe

- Lizhao (10/5): - This hotel appears to be just renovated. Everything looks very new. The location is perfect, a lot to explore around it. Only issue is need to change a couple lifts to get to where your room is, regardless walk in or drive in, but overall experience was excellent

You can pay to have them wash each garment but that is not convenient or family friendly as stated on Expedia. The ice machine on our floor was also not working and it took 2 calls and a 30 minute wait to receive ice. The rooms are very nice but the items for the guests were a little hard to find - slippers were in a drawer, robe was folded up at the top of the closet, hit water boiler hidden in a drawer as was the hairdryer.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Glad that I stay - Good value for the quality of this hotel. Room size, and friendliness of their services especially makes them stood out from the rest. But the entrances of hotel can be tricky. The reception lobby is on the 19th floor, if u take a taxi, u will be dropped off on the 18th fl, the mall underneath closes around 10pm? So to gain accesss back to the hotel after mall closure would require a detour. So it can be confusing at the beginning for some ppl. Other than that, MTR is under 10 mins walk from hotel. Supermkt, food venues, pickle ball game and a Japanese version of IKEA are also in direct access from the hotel.

Makes no sense for someone to book a suite alone, so providing 1 breakfast makes no sense too. If the purpose was to get a purchase of the 2ns breakfast, then I feel it's not something expected from a 5 stars hotel.

- Heng (10/5): - Really great hotel. Facility is very new and elegant. What you expect to see in a 4.5/5 star hotel. What I liked the most are: room was very quiet can't hear any noise from neighbors. Also very roomy I think around 300 sqft I am surprised to find in a place like Hong Kong. The shower is like a waterfall which is another thing dor me to rate a hotel as great. All the staff were very professional and friendly as well. Kitty at the front desk gave us a lot of tips for travellers despite it was super late when we arrive. We don't speak Cantonese (only Mandarin and English) yet everyone we interacted (front desk, bell boy, housekeeping) tried hard to communicate effectively with us and never shy away (or ignore us) I would definitely 200 percent recommend this place to everyone I know.

- Wendy (10/5): Great place for short or long stay. - Everything was great. The staff is very friendly. Location is great. Lots to see, shop and eat. The only regret was their dry clean service. I had one of my silk pant sent for dry clean. The form was marked for dry clean. The pant was washed instead as you can smell the detergent. The laundering shrank the pants, washed out the color. The staff obviously was not able to do anything except refund the dry clean portion of the bill. It was one of my favorite go to travel pants. Perfect for HK s hot & humid weather. This was a nuisance as I have 3 more weeks in Asia and count on wearing & cleaning the pants as I pack light. Oh well.
- lawrence (6/5): - The most inconvenient hotel at a conveniet location. Takes a good 5-min. from room to get to street level. Taxi/car pick up spot very confusing, all of the drivers got lost. Flooded with mainlanders. Besides the view, nothing 5-star as it claims itself.
- Colin (10/5): - This is a newer hotel (2024). Location is excellent with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Conveniently located near the Wan Chai subway station. The price we got per night seemed really reasonable. Rooms were big. The housekeeping was excellent. Hot tip: They charge different amounts for the same room based on floor level. I would suggest there is not great benefit to being on a higher floor. The lobby is on floor 19 so all the rooms are quite high up. I was moved to a new room that was promised to be an 'upgrade' due to a plumbing issue. However, the new room was exactly the same as the old room just on a different floor. I suggest getting the room you want at the cheapest price. The breakfast buffet is well worth the price. We didn't get a room with it included but ended up having it every day as it's super convenient with a wide variety of food. You are a little bit elevator bound because you are waiting with everyone else for one. The pool seemed to be out of order a lot during our stay and the gym seemed poorly equipped by western standards if you asked me. However, we were staying there for access to the city and for that, it served very well. Would stay again.

I want to swim at 7 a.m. so that I can have my breakfast around 9 a.m. The pool opens at 9 a.m., and by the time I finish breakfast, it is already closed at 10 a.m. The beds are a little bit small. Someone smoked on that floor. The smoke entered our room, so I complained at the front desk.

- Francisco (2/5): - I’m giving this hotel a low rating because, due to circumstances beyond my control, my flight was canceled that day. Even though I notified them two days in advance, they told me their policy no longer applied and still made me lose my money. What’s more frustrating is that I ended up staying an extra night at the same hotel, which I had to pay for separately—and at a much higher rate. On top of that, the food was expensive, poor quality, and took way too long to be delivered to my room. For the price they charge, I expected much better service and taste. I understand that policies exist, but I believe hotels should show more understanding in situations like this, especially when the guest had no control over the situation and gave advance notice. A little more empathy and flexibility would go a long way

Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby and a very nice Hong Kong market. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were big for Hong Kong. It's near a hiking trail too.

If you are visiting or are with young children with a whole floor in the mall for them. Excellent concierge service when you leave, where they keep your luggage safely and can get a taxi in four mins.
