Friendly staff, who kindly stayed up for my arrival. Comfortable and tidy rooms. I had a great sleep before hitting the road the next moring.

PETER (10/5): - The owners were super helpful. We experienced many delays in getting to Avola and knew we would be super late - well after midnight. We had a ground floor, side room, left unlocked due to the lateness, for easy access. Very trusting. In the morning the owner provided coffee and sent us off with a goodie bag. Awesome!

Cheryl (6/5): - The property itself was good. The handling of my booking was terrible. I’d messaged that I traveled with 2 dogs. Received a form to fill out that I couldn’t open after. When I arrived they were surprised and called the owner who then tried to double the price per dog. The website said pet friendly with a fee which expected. What I didn’t expect was the jacking of the price. They didn’t get to because I pulled up the website. But terrible customer service on the owners part. Left her staff in an awkward situation.

The towels and bedding smelt great and fresh. You can tell that they care and up keep of their rooms wonderfully. Thank you for a great stay at the best price in the area! We will be back.

Jennifer (10/5): - This was a great place to stop and break up the drive from AB to BC for my youbg family. A kitchenette to cook dinner and a separated "bedroom" to put the baby to sleep early. It's no fancy resort, but it was clean, quiet and very well equipped to meet our needs!
CHRIS (10/5): Good value for the money - We were pleasantly surprised with our rooms. There is a separate bedroom. A very usable kitchen. And a nice view. The lady that checked us in was very pleasant. There was also coffee in the lobby in the morning as well as a go package
Jennifer (10/5): - A great place place to break up the drive from AB to BC with young kids. A kitchenette to cook dinner and a separate bedroom to put the baby to sleep earlier than the rest of us. Clean and simple and convenient!
Adrienne (6/5): - The area could use some love, the rooms are older. The sofa bed is from the 90s- and super uncomfortable. Front desk staff were very nice- and helpful. Definitely a bang for your buck spot.
R&R (8/5): - Nice clean motel right by the highway for a quick night's stop on the road. The owner was wonderful to talk to and welcoming, even staying up to wait for us to check in. The town is very small so there were very limited services in the area. The room has heat and AC options, but was very cramped once the sofa bed was open. It's also close to train tracks so we could hear train horns throughout the night.

Very nice people to deal with. The room was everything it promised to be. It had a decent sized fridge, a couch, coffee table and while it was a bit crowded with 3 of us in there, it would be perfect for 2. Reasonably priced, which was great, too.

Elaine (10/5): Off the main highway and reasonably priced. - Who stays at Avola? We will fun now on as we serve from BC to AB. The place seems to be renovated. Very reasonably priced just off the main highway. Great place to lay your head for a night. Not much in the area. A service station across the road with a convenience store. Get an evening meal in the pub a couple blocks away in the village of Avola.

Kristen (4/5): - The woman who checked us in was kind. I didn’t have high expectations based on the ratings and photos, but I picked this hotel because of its location, price and availability at short notice in the middle of a long weekend. The reviews I read were all positive and made it seem like it was a good place to stay if you have young children. While I do agree that the room layout works well (kitchenette, separate bedroom), I was disappointed in the level of cleanliness. One review that I read said it was “impeccably clean”, and I would say that it was fairly clean - there were hairs in the shower and on the bedding, there was a smooshed, bloody mosquito stuck to one of the walls, the corners and perimeter of the rooms needed sweeping, and there were smudges all over the floor that I first assumed were permanent, however after cleaning up a spill with a baby wipe, I removed the smudges with a little bit of elbow grease. I want to acknowledge that it seems like a family-run business in a very small, remote town, and it must be challenging to do that. I would just expect to see a more thorough cleaning of a room and better supplied kitchenette and bedding for a hotel with this star rating and price (e.g., the beds had a fitted sheet, comforter, and two pillows with the matching shams; the dish soap in the kitchenette had been watered down). I think this hotel could do really well if it upped the ante on cleanliness because it has friendly staff and a beautiful location already.

Husna (8/5): - The room was very spacious and clean. The mini kitchen was very handy especially since there is no breakfast option at the hotel. Front desk staff are not very friendly. Air conditioner was only in one room and not turned on prior to our arrival so the room was very hot throughout the night. Only two bath towels and 1 hand towel were provided for 4 guests. The beds were extremely soft and not very comfortable. Overall a decent place to spend the night if you need a place to spend the night while on your way to your destination.

Lynn (8/5): - There is only one biker pub to eat at. And if you need gas or snacks, do that first, as the gas station closes early and opens late. The room is clean and has coffee pods and a fridge. If you can’t manage stairs, request a main floor room.

Rajesh (10/5): - Property is impressively clean. We stayed twice here and second time Queen suite. It was very spacious like an Airbnb property and again 5-star cleanliness. Staff was very friendly and provided morning snacks understanding that there’s no option for breakfast close-by. Everything works in Roku TV unlike other higher class hotels we stayed where programs are hardly available. Will definitely stay again.
Oleksandra (10/5): Nice motel in a picturesque mountain town - The motel seems to be freshly renovated, the room's spacious and clean. Excellent kitchenette for this kind of accomodation, very helpful as the only place to eat in town in the evening opens and closes as it's owner pleases. There's no breakfast, but they provide coffee and some snacks to go, which is nice. Checking in was quick, the lady at the counter quite pleasant. There are train tracks running through the town, so when the train signals you'll hear it along with all the valley as the mountain echo amplifies it. Definitely not the motel's fault, but be prepared :) My only real complaint is the soundproofing between the floors. We stayed for 1 night on our way to BC and then on our way back, and both times had a room on the ground floor. Every time we seemed to hear every step our neighbors upstairs were taking(the lodge has 2 floors). Both times our neighbors were more or less quiet, so no big deal, but still there's definitely a room for improvement there.
Verified traveler (10/5): Clean, Spacious, Totally worth the price!!!! - This seat was perfect. The kind old lady stayed up very late to ensure that we were checked in, despite the fact that we couldn't give her a heads up due to spotty networks. The place was clean, spacious, loved the small details like areas to put shoes on and all, for the price we paid.

Edward (6/5): - I was impressed when entering the room. Everything looked recently upgraded, and the layout with a separate bedroom was very nice. We found the beds quite firm, but fine. The only issue we had was that there is no sound mitigation between upper and lower floors. The person(s) in the room above us paced their room till 2:00 in the morning, and the loud footsteps made sleep impossible for all of us.

Gracelyn (10/5): Wonderful stay :) - Spent a night here in between driving and it was such a cute little place!! The woman at the front desk was so kind and helpful. The room was perfect size for two people! Me and my partner enjoyed the comfy bed as well, not too soft not too firm! The room was very clean, thats coming from a professional house cleaner!! Checked out around 9am and there was a breakfast bag for us which included wonderful snacks for the road. The space was comfortable and i felt very safe as well! Would definetly stay again plus a great price!!

Sherry (8/5): Will stay there again - Very quaint and cozy stay. Clean and comfortable room with soft bed and deep soaker tub. There was no tub stopper though so we used the shower instead, which is very nice, tall and good water pressure.
