• Dan (10/5): Feels like home - Awesome location right on the Salkantay trail. The beds were very comfortable with a spacious room and a lovely view over the valley. Meals were great with take away sandwiches available for the next day. A briefing for the next days trail was given to help us prepare. We enjoyed staying here after a big day 2 on our trek. Nothing

Manuel interessiert sich für seine Gäste und hilft beim Organisieren der Weiterreise (er spricht auch Englisch). für 20 Soles gibt es ein leckeres Abendessen. Absolute Empfehlung und top gelegen, direkt am Beginn des Dorfes und am Ende des Trails.
• Lara (8/5): Super familiär und perfekt für einen Zwischenstopp auf dem Salkatay Trek - Das Personal war super lieb und hat uns bei allem geholfen und das Zimmer war geräumig mit Dusche und Klo getrennt. Frühstück gab es um 6:30, was auch sehr gut und für uns vegan gemacht wurde, genau wie das Abendessen. Der Fluss könnte für leichte Schläfer zu laut sein.

Nosotros llevábamos comida en la mochila, pero también hacen sandwiches para el camino. Manuel nos dio muchas indicaciones para el camino y se aseguró de que todo estuviese bien y de que estuviésemos lo más cómodos posibles.
• kate (10/5): - Manuel and his family made us right at home. We stayed here end of October 2025, doing the Salkantay trek solo as a group of 5. We are so glad we chose this hostel. The dinner was so delicious as was the breakfast. Manuel personally gave us a fantastic overview of the hike ahead of us as well as great local recommendations. The rooms were immaculate and the views were incredible truly felt like a jungle paradise. Don’t miss out on one of the best accoms on the Salkantay trek!

• Andrea (9/5): Magical setting in the cloud forest - and best hot shower of the trek! - Great location right off the Salkantay trail and a magical feeling setting on the edge of the river valley...stunning views. The room was lovely, spacious and well decorated, and a good hot shower. Food was great and our host Manuel gave us a helpful run-down of what we could expect on the hike the following day.
• Hannah (10/5): Perfect stay for your second night on the Salkantay Trek! - Manuel and his family were very hospitable and made sure we were comfortable from the very first moment. The room was spacious and full of wooden, handmade items. The shower was sooo perfectly hot. We shared the accommodation with just 8 other people and enjoyed dinner and breakfast together in a very calm, peaceful way. Manuel also gave us useful information about the next day of hiking. Thank you!

• Christoph (10/5): Tolle Unterkunft mit heißen Duschen während des Salkantay Treks - Wir haben hier die zweite Nacht während des Salkantay Treks verbracht. Wir wurden mit einem schönen Zimmer, einer heißen Dusche, einem gemütlichem Bett und sehr leckerem Abendessen & Frühstück von den netten Gastgebern empfangen. Uns wurden am nächsten Tag sogar Sandwiches für den Tag vorbereitet. Man hat einen schönen Blick über das Tal und kann sich gut von dem langen, zweiten Tag erholen -

• Bryan (10/5): Best place to stay after hiking the salkantay pass - Amazing hostel in Chaulley - perfect base after hiking over the salkantay pass. Lovely host who cooked us a very tasty dinner (small additional cost) and breakfast, as well as explaining the route for the following day. Very comfy bed and hot showers (which run on gas so even though the electricity was off in the village when we arrived, we could still have a hot shower). Host gave us a hot water bottle each which made sure we were warm overnight. Nothing

• Sophia (10/5): Schöne Unterkunft - Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön, besonders das eigene Bad mit warmen Wasser ist nach der langen Wanderung ein Traum. Das Essen war auch sehr lecker und liebevoll zubereitet und auf Nachfrage gab es sogar eine vegane Option. Manuel ist super hilfreich bei allen Fragen, was zum Beispiel die Weiterreise betrifft. What is not to love about this, after the gruelling trek from Soraypampa to Chaullay?! Totally recommend. It was very cold during the night. I wish there was an extra blanket or a hot water bottle in the room.

We had a great time playing cards with our crew before and after dinner. It’s the perfect location on the trek, I could not have been happier when we arrived.
