• Guest (5/5): Service/hotel do not live up to their high price. Would recommend looking for other options. - Breakfast was fine. I ordered a boiled egg and toast. Not on the menu but it was cooked perfect for me. Waitress was ok, except for the fact that I had to go looking for someone to take my breakfast order. They were busy all talking amongst themselves at the bar. I felt I was interrupting them. Room was clean and towels and sheets all smelled great. Good water pressure in shower. TV had many channels to watch in lots of different languages. Fridge in room VERY noisy. Room outdated but clean. Check in and check out quite unfriendly. I appreciated (and drank ) the two small bottles of water in my room. I asked please for another at checkout and was told I would need to pay for a bottle of water. I was not expecting this response as the hotel is one of the more expensive in SJDS. DEFINITELY need a hospitality review with the staff.

• Gloria (2/5): - I made a mistake when booking but at arrival fixed i needed one of the 2 rooms reserved changed to 3 people not a problem at all hotel reception were constantly following us checking on my group not appreciated at all staff made me fell super uncomfortable during my stay not happy not staying again

• Sheldon (8/5): - Received a call from the hotel 30 mins prior to arrival saying they were overbooked. When we arrived they were able to accommodate us with another room with a roll away bed for our daughter. They were very friendly and apologetic location is great, right on the beach. It is very loud at night since it is very close to the bars. If you are looking for locations it is fantastic, if your looking for quiet it might not be for you. Breakfast was a full breakfast off the menu which was great.

• Michael (6/5): Good spot, need to up their game - We enjoyed our stay. Overall it’s an excellent spot on the edge of town and across from the beach. The rooms need blankets as it’s hard to monitor the ac and we were cold. The hot water in the shower was not hot, just tepid.

There were some loud guests in the hallway and It sounded like someone was drilling above us until midnight. We had to get up at 5 so it ended up being a short night of sleep.

• Maritza (2/5): - Manager lie requested to pay a taxi driver $50 to take me to the beach addition to pay for towels since the hotel towels were only available for the pool and not for the beach. Manager’s husband is a taxi driver and wants the tourists to pay crazy amounts for the taxi besides the hotel has the transportation included or complementary without charge she indicated that the only way to go to the beach was by taxi. The hotel should be 1 to 2 stars but they claim the have 4 stars. Expedia advertising and great reviews for a poor service and lies once you get to the hotel Don’t book this place, stay away / no beach access/ as they claim and charge as a 4 star hotel

• Julia (10/5): - Hotel Victoriano is a gorgeous hotel. They take really great care of the grounds and the hotel itself. Everyone that worked there was amazing. Carlos was especially helpful. I would highly recommend waiting to book expeditions and car services until you talk to him. I could have saved so hundreds of dollars (literally) had I known him before booking this trip. You are close to everything you need to be close to, everything is within walking distance so it is easy to run in and out. Also, I would recommend getting a room with an ocean view, even though my room was nice I wish I had booked an ocean view.

The tap flowed into the surface rather than going into the wash basin which made it hard to use. Breakfast was good. Small pool but good for kids. All in all, it wasn’t value for the money we paid.

It seems that a dog did that but that also means that the hotel didn’t bother to paint it or cover it up. On top of that, we had no water in the bathroom and could not brush our teeth, take a shower, etc

• Amanda (10/5): - This was our first stay at Hotel Victoriano, and won't be the last. The staff were all very kind and helpful and most spoke English. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and even had a small drink refrigerator and hot water. It is walking diatance to downtown, which makes shopping convenient. And, they had secure parking. Definitely a 5 star place.
• Kathi (10/5): - The hotel is a well maintained historic building. It is across the street from the beach, but there are no buildings on the beach side in front of it. It’s an easy walk to the beach, dozens of excellent restaurants, shops, and public parks. The restaurant food is high quality and very reasonably priced. Staff could not have been nicer. English and Español.

Non working safe and only 1 key per room was an issue since I was sharing a room. Also had an issue with drugs I left at front desk for another doc to pick up. She was told 2x that I didn’t leave any .

The staff was great, super attentive, they arranged rides for us out to several beaches, and back to the border. San Juan Del Sur is pretty loud, so bring ear plugs.
