- SUSAN (10/5): Great value, comfortable, great breakfast. - Exceeded our expectations in every way. Would highly recommend.
- Jane (6/5): Ideal overnight stopover spot after a great drive accross the Dales. - In centre of town but set back from road, so pleasantly quiet..
Breakfast chef was welcoming and efficient. Steep stairs a bit difficult for pensioners with baggage.
- Sonia (10/5): -
- Dylan (8/5): -
- Dr Stella (9/5): A traditional Dales property do t worry about squeaky floors it goes with the territory - Very clean, a nice lady was very welcoming, a comfy bed & warm room
- White (10/5): Fantastic pitstop on Pennine Way hike - Great vegan breakfast options including full cooked breakfast. Free WiFi though I didn't try it. Super water pressure in the shower. Great view from bedroom window. Central location with lots of dinner options in the town. Comfortable double bed. Nice bright airy room!

- Alec (7/5): -
- David (10/5): - Great value for the location.
A friendly welcome.
A good breakfast.
- L Evans (5/5): Friendly staff, OK breakfast, but needs a refurb and a deep clean. - Very friendly and helpful staff. The whole place needs a deep clean. Dirty carpets, mould in the bathroom, etc.
- Sharon (7/5): - Room fine, breakfast was lovely Bathroom could do with improvement. Mould round bottom. Bleach would do it. Shower head was awful, wouldn't use....
- Anthony (9/5): Every thing ok, early check in was good. - Central location, good views, good breakfast. Nothing comes to mind.
- Marcus (8/5): Great location and lovely breakfast - Brilliant location in the heart of Hawes. Friendly owners. Comfortable nights sleep. Great breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

- Louise (7/5): - Fantastic breakfast. Delicious vegetarian full English breakfast for me and full English meat version for my husband, piping hot and the chef was very friendly too. Our room was overall very nice - spacious and comfortable and pleasant. Great location in the centre of Hawes. Hotel overall seemed a little tired and outdoor seating area was lovely but needed some tidying/tlc. The bathroom was mainly good, spacious with a good shower and lovely fluffy towels but the heated towel rail was a bit rusty/yellow stained
- Anderson (10/5): - Absolutely amazing breakfast
- Butler (8/5): Would stay here again - Only stayed overnight, but breakfast was excellent. Nothing at all
- Wood (8/5): Clean, warm, dry. - Clean, warm, dry. Perhaps a little basic, but you won't do better at this price - besides, you don't go to Hawes to sit in a hotel room all day :)
- Fiona (5/5): Bathroom. Let room down badly - Location brilliant, staff very friendly, breakfast lovely Cleanliness of room and bathroom terrible, so much so we did not go in the bathroom without shoes on and did not shower. Mentioned to staff who said will be a year before updating bathroom
- Richard (9/5): Perfect for what we were doing that weekend -
- elizabeth (8/5): - It's right in the middle of Hawes and it was very quiet. I liked It's homely atmosphere. It wasn't expensive. My bed was comfy with nice bedding. The bathroom was tiny but adequate and had very nice towels and quality toilet paper. Breakfast was freshly cooked and the coffee was good I couldn't control my own heating. The lock on my room door didn't seem very secure. But really - the few shortcomings were reflected in the price
- Scott (4/5): Hawes is beautiful, Cocketts has potential but need some work and attention to detail. - Well situated in the centre of town. I think we had one of the better rooms but not particularly clean. We ate breakfast the first morning and didn’t the rest of the trip due to lack of cleanliness in the dining area.
- Naomi (10/5): -
- Adele (8/5): Clean and a lovely breakfast with nice staff. - Lovely area! Clean and nice staff. Brilliant breakfast!! Quiet and chilled place. It’s great for the money.
- Lucy (8/5): Superb will book again! - Nice staff, lovely room, excellent service. Nothing.
- Linda (8/5): - Lovely and warm on a very cold day . Comfortable room and bed and breakfast was excellent
- Michael (8/5): One night in Hawes - Great location in centre of Hawes. Good size room. Bed was large and comfortable. Great breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. Parking is a bit of a challenge as Hawes is always busy. Wifi would only connect once you left the room but otherwise fine.
- Jeanette (9/5): Excellent stay, great value for money, brilliant staff thanks again to the chef great breakfast - Breakfast was lovely freshly cooked and hot and tasty. The room was much better than we expected shower was excellent Big comfy bed.
Crockett Hotel is very central and right opposite entrance to Wensleydale cheese site.
Staff are great very welcoming and informative The photos on the web site do NOT do this quaint hotel any justice it is far better than they imply
- Ilaria (9/5): -
- Melissa (10/5): -
- Marie (8/5): - Very central.
- Karen (7/5): -
- Alison (9/5): -
- Barbara (9/5): -
- shaun (9/5): Value for money for everything in mentioned in likes. - Staff communication superb (Emma), location, view, room, breakfast, Not sure if quilt cover was correct size for the 2 beds pushed together as a bit on the small side.
Marks on room carpet but it was cream and don't think it was dirty just marks from previous guest spillages and for price charged was definitely not an issue.
- Deborah (4/5): Badly in need of a refurb! - The location is central and the staff we met were very nice. The hotel is extremely dated. We stayed in the triple room, the wallpaper was on wonky and there was mould on wall near the external door. The beds were clean and comfy, but the bathroom was terrible and the worst we have ever stayed in. The breakfast was fine, but we felt that given the state of the hotel we should have paid half of what we paid!
- Richard (7/5): -
- Michael (6/5): I probably had the worst room in all the property, but as I’m not a small man, it felt like a doll house in my room - Central for my requirements The extraordinarily tiny bed, toilet and shower
- Elizabeth (10/5): - It was clean & comfortable.
- Carol (8/5): - Perfect location Nothing
- Kirsty (8/5): -
- Ian (9/5): Comfortable hotel in the Dales with friendly staff - Very comfortable
Friendly staff Nothing
- Geoff (10/5): A nice couple of days stay. - Good location, great people working there who couldn't do any more for us. Breakfast was plenty and really nice and the option to build your own was a great idea too. Rooms were fine with a nice view of the hills from our room and a good street view from the other room we booked. Would happily stay there again.
- Joanne (8/5): Would recommend this accommodation, even more so when the upgrade has been completed - Great location, lovely staff & breakfast was excellent
- Marianne (8/5): Perfect place to stay - Perfect for my stay had everything i needed
- Mark (10/5): Great stay - Great location handy for everything and staff was extremely helpful breakfast was very good
- Holly (10/5): My second stay here, brought my kids and 2 dogs. Location is perfect, rooms are lovely and warm, comfy beds. Staff are w - Very cosy, staff super friendly and helpful. Food is lovely. Nothing to dislike 🙂
- IAN (7/5): -
- Cheryl (7/5): -
- paul (8/5): - Lady was lovely. Breakfast was freat If it had own parking it would be perfect but can't be helped
- Christine (6/5): - Good location I didn’t mind making our own drinks and cooking our own toast but we had to ask for mugs and then ask again for cutlery and then we had to ask again for butter. These are things that should have been done either the night before or first thing in the morning. The whole place looked like it needed a bit of tlc.
- Kevin (1/5): Absolutely dreadful place awful owners dirty if I could have put zero stars nothing endearing here - Location great breakfast awful Food hot would have been
- Jade (6/5): It was a good stay but for the money paid it didn’t feel worth the value - Was close to everything in the town and there was free parking that we could use The cleanliness wasn’t the best, there was mould near the front door, bathroom had hairs on the floor and there was a lot of dust behind one of the beds.
- Warren (8/5): Great location in a clean & comfortable room - Great location
- Jean (9/5): - Location and breakfast were brilliant
- Claudio (5/5): -
- John (8/5): -
- Clare (8/5): Good hotel - Location, staff, rooms, breakfast It was all great
- Florencia (10/5): Cálido y confortable bed and breakfast - Habitación muy linda y cómoda, el desayuno buenísimo, el personal muy amable. Excelente precio. Nada. Todo perfecto!
- Adam (8/5): -
- danielle (6/5): -
- Simon (9/5): Good Bed and Breakfast in a fabulous location - Great location and fabulous breakfast. Mattress was uncomfortable.
- Gareth (6/5): Excellent location and cheaper than other accommodation, but probably as rooms are tired. Good staff - The location was excellent and if you can get a free parking space out the front of the accommodation it is very convenient. Breakfast was very pleasant, with the hot options being well-cooked and plentiful, but some fruit and yoghurt would have been nice. The communal areas were pleasant but rooms are tired. The staff were friendly. The room was a good size but very tired, with some peeling wall paper and mould in places. The window - although double-glazed - let in a cold draft and the heating could not be individually controlled (we had to ask the owner to boost the heating on several occasions, which they willing did). Shower door did not contain water and wet floor - unfortunately, stains to lino show this wasn't just me misusing it.
- Luisa (8/5): -
- Susan (5/5): Disappointing stay - Beds comfortable clean tea and coffee provided Felt like the room was a store room no proper window. Shower was useless and the breakfast was very greasy couldn't eat it.
The place felt soul less needs some TLC injected in it.
- Stephanie (8/5): -
- Georgina (10/5): Excellent value accommodation - The breakfast was exceptional and good value for money All good, it was comfy and cosy - no complaints
- Jane (9/5): - The Breakfast was lovely. Room to warm during the night as heating still on.
- Lewis (10/5): Brilliant - Lovely character, friendly hosts, great location, nice breakfast and amazing value for money. Will definitely book again. Nothing.
- Trevor (9/5): Recommended. Lovely place to stay.. - Lovely hotel, lovely people, helpful, friendly, a great breakfast with good quality ingredients.
Beautiful view from the window..
Perfectly positioned for a wander round Hawes. Very little we didn't like. Maybe more than one decaffeinated teabag in the room, and the windows were very heavy to open.
In our room, (3) the fan in the bathroom was very loud.
These are very trivial things. That shows how nice the place is...
- Christopher (9/5): Charming, well presented, homely hotel with outstanding breakfast - This charming hotel is very well presented. It is welcoming, clean and quiet. The overall look and feel is 'Homely' and it has a noticable warmth to it. The single room is small but has a good layout and is, as the rest of the hotel, very clean. Overall the location is great, set back as it is from the road, the noise from outside in minimal.
The breakfast simply cannot be faulted. Excellent facilities, a range of choices AND a (very well cooked) full English breakfast !! Highly Recommended. The power of the shower was the only thing that was less than desired. Apart from that there is nothing to mention.
- Rebecca (10/5): - Lovely B & B and Staff N/A
- Rebecca (8/5): Lovely home from home in the centre of Hawes - The host were very lovely, the beds were super comfy, the location is fab right in the centre of Hawes, a stone’s throw from pubs, shops & the Wensleydale creamery. The breakfast was of very high standard & there was a top of the range coffee machine which makes all types of coffee! Excellent added touch! I hate to write negatives but feel it’s important to be honest. The bedding, towels etc were all fresh & clean as was the mattress on the bed but the carpets desperately need to be cleaned! It’s a shame as it’s like wearing a suit from Saville row & then putting scruffy trainers on with it. The rooms were perfectly acceptable for the price just a shame that the carpets make it appear to be unclean when it’s certainly not. A party of 6 would most definitely stay again!
- Richard (8/5): Good location and nice reception rooms - Good location good breakfast N/A
- Lakeland Lad (10/5): - Was allowed to check in early and very central to the wonderful town of Hawes.
- Emily (8/5): - Right on the main road close to the pubs
Clean and comfortable room
Nice breakfast Nothing. Perfectly adequate for our stop over
- Gareth (8/5): Excellent value and very friendly staff - Great breakfast and excellent value for money Very small bathroom
- Holly (10/5): Loved every minute. Staff are so welcoming and friendly. Room was beautiful - very clean and cosy. I travelled with my 2 - Everything
- Andrew (8/5): -
- Graeme (9/5): -
- Conner (8/5): well worth the money especially for the location. would definitley stay again - staff was amazing, was so friendly and you could have a chat and not just feel like theyre just talking to you because its there job. very friendly and helpful. breakfast was lovley too and i can be quite fussy about breakfast. shower wasnt the strongest but it was enough.
mattresses werent the best either.
- Ian (6/5): Reasonable stay but hotel looking tired - Good location friendly welcome and decent breakfast Its looking very tired and has been allowed to deteriorate over the years, wasnt clear if there was a restaurant, the restaurant said there was but there wasnt
- Vanessa (10/5): Lovely, friendly, place. Food exceptional - Lovely everything. Excellent friendly service lovely food. Got upgraded to a double room. Outstanding. Nothing everything perfect

- Louise (10/5): -
- Emily (9/5): - We had a fantastic stay in Hawes! The staff were wonderful ; especially Emma, who was so helpful and welcoming. We were given a free upgrade to a family room, which was perfect for storing our road bikes. The room was quiet, comfortable, and lovely and warm. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and a great start to the day. Highly recommend! Bathroom could have done with an update.
