We also loved the balcony - we could see right down to the sea. Very noisy in the morning - would recommend ear buds. Not very private toilet and might be a good idea to have a cleaner during the stay, especially for rubbish.

• Bob (9/5): Valletta is a beautiful city. The location of this property was excellent, overall we were very happy with our stay and - The space, old style building and location. Lack of privacy - other people could enter the courtyard that our bedroom and lounge room opened up into. It would have been good to have extra bin bags considering toilet paper had to be placed in the bins. More towels would also have been welcomed.

The location was fantastic a lovely 2-3 min walk into the old town (Valletta), close enough to be within the hustle and bustle but far enough out to have a peaceful, relaxing and safe stay. The apartment itself was quiet, organised and super clean. Perfect for a couple or 2 friends. We were even able to store our belongings at their sister hotel just around the corner on the day of our departure. Thank-you to the Old Bakery team, we love it 😌 Everything was perfect, the only minus was the extremely stiff front door lock on our initial arrival. It took me and my partner both applying a lot of force to the door to get inside. Manageable for us but maybe a difficulty for others. I am sure this is something that can be easily fixed and problem solved. Otherwise the whole experience was 10/10

• Julie (10/5): Highly recommended! - Apartment was lovely, exactly what we were looking for. Spacious, modern and very clean. Built in USB sockets in most outlets was ideal. The bed was so comfortable and we liked having 2 pillows each. Lockbox entry was ideal. Location is excellent for historic centre, restaurants and shops. Communication from the hosts was always quick and informative. Everything was excellent! I was worried about paying for our stay outwith booking.com site but the host was so helpful and explained the process fully.

• Laure (10/5): - Magnifique et spacieux appartement, décoré avec soin, dans une maison historique superbe, au coeur de la Valette. Le personnel de l'hôtel affilié, "19 rooms", s'est montré particulièrement agréable et arrangeant pour le dépôt des valises le jour du départ. Il n'y a pas de lumière du jour directe puisque les fenêtres donnent toutes sur une cour intérieure. On ne croise personne dans l'immeuble et par conséquent on réalise que les chambres ne seront pas faites, la gestion de l'appartement est organisée sur le mode Airbnb (pas dérangeant mais bon à savoir).

• ANNA (10/5): Fantástico apartamente en el centro de Valetta. - Magnífico apartamento situado en el centro de Valetta pero, aún y así, alejado del ruido. Todo el edificio está renovado con un gusto exquisito y los apartamentos son una preciosidad y súper nuevos. La cocina equipada con todo lo que se te pueda ocurrir, baño grande con buena ducha y cama súper cómoda con dos tipos de almohada a elegir. También hay secado y, plancha con su correspondiente tabla de planchar. Nosotros solamente nos quedamos dos noches pero, la verdad, era para quedarse ahí una temporada! En cuanto a la comunicación con ellos, muy ágil, nos dejamos el móvil y nos dimos cuenta en el aeropuerto pero en seguida lo solucionaron. También puedes dejar el equipaje a coste cero por si tu vuelo sale más tarde. Tiene una relación calidad-precio muy buena, en mi opinión barato para lo que ofrece y por la situación que tiene. Recomiendo 100% Nada, nos gustó todo.

• Lynn (10/5): Wonderful well decorated, very clean and comfortable apartment. - Entry was very easy with both a code to main door then key safe for apartment. I was travelling alone and felt very safe in both the apartment premises and also the apartment itself. The apartment I stayed on was on the 2nd floor and whilst it looked onto an internal courtyard all windows from the sitting area and bedroom opened externally allowing fresh air and daylight which is important for me. Nothing really, if I had to ask for something, it would be a little more cooking utensils if I was staying longer. As it was I didn’t need them as only staying for a couple of nights.
• McCulloch (8/5): A lovely apartment on a quiet street. - The location of the apartment is ideal - very central but on a quiet street. It’s large, comfortable and well appointed, and the decoration is beautiful. The windows all face onto an inner courtyard, which makes it a bit dark. It also means that any noise from people in neighbouring flats travels very easily if the windows are open. The mattress was quite thin and hard, which was fine for us, but others may find it uncomfortable.

• Roisin (10/5): Fabulous stay in the heart of Valletta! - Absolutely beautiful apartment in the heart of the city centre but placed on a quiet street so it’s silent when you’re sleeping. The apartment has everything you’d ever need and was spotlessly clean. Check in was easy and the instructions were received in good time. We checked out at 11:00 and were able to leave our bags at their sister hotel just down the road until 5:00pm. We loved it and would stay again without hesitation. Nothing.

Spaceous and very well equipped. Settee was not the most comfortable but it was only during heavy rain that it was used for any length of time.

All curtains had to be closed due to privacy Sliding glass store leads to no where and the above units could see inside The biggest: unsanitary was the disposal of the toilet paper. Absolutely not to be flushed and had to put in a trash bin beside toilet Unfortunately apartment 1 is the worst unit I asked for a upper level and didn’t get Should you book here PLEASE ask not to be put in Apartment 1 It was a let down I don’t like giving this many Cons but I value the Reviews of Hotel.com to make the best choices in Hotels I will say the sister hotel is a gem 19 rooms

The request to put 'used' toilet tissue in the bin rather than flush it felt a bit weird. I assume this is because it's an old building with old plumbing, and to avoid blockages.
• Lauren (9/5): Cute apartment in the heart of Valletta - It was cosy, comfortable and it was a great base for exploring Valletta. The kitchen is well equipped and it’s a good space. Minor issue -towel rail in bathroom needs fixing

• Ferial (8/5): Beautiful but - Beautifully renovated building, spacious and super clean, it has an elevator and its steps away restaurants, shops, not too busy at night to prevent you from sleeping but close enough to walk everywhere. My only issue which is very important to me personally is lack of windows to outside. There is a closed courtyard which works as a big skylight that lets lights in and all rooms have windows facing this indoor courtyard which is better than nothing but it does not have windows to the outside that you can get let fresh air in or look out and that for me is a deal breaker and if I knew that I would not pick this place to stay for a week. If you are having a short stay and that’s not an issue I highly recommend this place.

The neighborhood was quiet but the sidewalks were hard to navigate because they were so uneven and broken. Also we didn’t care for the fact we couldn’t even put toilet paper in the toilet. It was rather unsanitary.

• Grigoria (9/5): I highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to explore the beautiful city of Valletta. - A perfect choice if you are staying in Valletta. It is situated in a very central location which is quiet and relaxed but in a short walk you are close to all the major attractions, restaurants, bars. Stay in a traditional Maltese house with all the modern amenities and a nice decoration. We were staying in Apartment 3 on the 2nd floor and everything was perfect. The room is very spacious (it is actually a small apartment) and made us feel at home immediately. I highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to explore the beautiful city of Valletta. Personally I would prefer natural plants throughout the property.
