- Leslie (8/5): - One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was because it had a mini fridge. We like to be able to keep snacks ,milk etc in our room. The mini fridge didn’t work and we asked to have it repaired or replaced and it was never done. We ended up having to throw out some food.
- Kathleen (8/5): - Ideally situated in a quiet area to get around the city but still close to some eateries, also near the canal where trips leave from and tram line. The staff were so helpful and friendly and the baked goods and coffee were lovely too. Great shower and very comfy bed. The WiFi key system was handy too. The only downside was our room didn’t have a window- not a biggie but think one of the rooms with a window would be better. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

Very dim room, no overhead lighting tried to use the tv for lighting but that didn’t work properly.. we paid $/50 for one room and it was a waste of money , despite vicinity being close.

Location is perfect, less that a block from the museums and only 12 min walk to red district and other turustuc places. The entrance check in is next to the hotel door at a cute coffee shop. People are so kind and helpful there and their coffee and treats are great too! Highly recommended for everything it offers!

It’s on the ground floor and the cafe is right next to your room, as well as the elevator, so a bit noisy. You can always hear music far apart, not sure if it’s from the building next door, but you would still be able to sleep.
- Sui (6/5): - This is not a regular hotel. With less than 20rooms, there is no reception area. There are just small rooms nothing else. How can it be a hotel??? Got to check in next door cafe which opens only 8-6. The room was so small and housekeeping wasn’t good. It’s close to Rijksmuseum.

The room was small, but had everything we needed for a short stay so it didn’t bother us! Location was great with easy access to public transport or a walk into the more central area which we preferred to do.

Something to be aware of; if you are on the 4th floor, the elevator only goes to the 3rd floor so there will be a set of steep stairs to climb. To be fair, that's just the charm of Amsterdam. The double bed was amazing! We each had our own separate comforter! No blanket hogging!! The bathroom was clean and the shampoo/conditioner provided was quite nice. I hope to stay here again. Bonus detail, you get to keep the tote bag. I didn't take mine because I didn't know it was ours to keep and I didn't want to steal. (My fault for asking last minute) Thanks for the great stay!
- Elisabeth (10/5): - My partner and I came to Amsterdam for one night for his birthday and The Fritz was the perfect hotel! A quaint room, clean and modern but still homey with a lovely bathroom and an amazing city view. It had a boutique hotel feel to it but all the benefits of a larger hotel. The staff at The Fritz were kind and helpful, even to kind as to decorate our room for my partner's birthday. Location was perfectly far away from the business of the centre but in the perfect spot to walk to the centre or any surrounding neighborhoods! Wouldn't stay anywhere else if we visit again.
- Kenneth (8/5): - Very nice location for sightseeing in Amsterdam. Enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Single room was small and compact but good enough for a solo traveller. Comfortable bed, good amenities, and the bathroom was excellent. The stairs are very narrow so be mindful of that, and the lift is also quite slow.
- Alec (4/5): - TLDR: I stayed in a standard room on the second floor. If you just need a comfy bed to crash this works! PROS: Room was clean, staff was nice and professional, shower and AC worked great. CONS: The tiny fridge didn’t work, room is basically only space to fit the bed so you will climb in from the bottom. None of their windows are operable, this is to save energy on AC, fine. But if you like natural light or a view to the outside book early and call ahead. Having looked at their floorplans on each floor, at least half of their rooms are interior and only have windows that look into the glass elevator shaft for daylight. Due to lack of privacy every room has their blinds closed, which means 0 natural light. This is also less than ideal for noise with an elevator + cleaning cart + suitcases bouncing on a metal grate floor approx. 10cm from your pillow through 1 pane of glass.

The room beware is VERY small with no room for baggage or any personal items. The sodas offered for purchase down in the cafe were very overpriced. I am so disappointed. Again, the room we were given was NOWHERE close to what we got. We were also supposed to have a “city “ view. That consisted of a view of trash and some delapitated furniture and a peeling sunroof. NOT worth the money.

- Yik (4/5): - Not a Hotel — More Like a Hostel Charging Hotel Prices This place is marketed as a hotel, but in reality, it feels more like a hostel — just with hotel-level pricing. You're essentially paying for the location, as it's close to the museum quarter, which is admittedly convenient. Here are the key issues: No real reception – There's no front desk. Instead, a staff member at the café next door acts as "reception" from 9 AM to 6 PM. Poor accessibility – There’s no proper entrance; you have to climb stairs, and taxis can’t stop right outside the property. Extremely small rooms – The room is tiny, even by Japanese standards. You can't fully open a suitcase on the floor. No real windows – The only windows face the staircase and a very slow elevator. You can hear everyone passing by clearly. Inconvenient power setup – Turning off the room lights also cuts power to the outlets, so you can't charge your phone unless you leave the lights on (except in the bathroom). Basic bedding – Standard hostel-quality linens and pillows (cushions actually). On the plus side, the room was clean and odor-free — but that should be the bare minimum for any hotel. Overall, if you’re expecting hotel quality, you’ll likely be disappointed. You're paying for the location, not the experience.

- Lyle (8/5): - The people working reception were friendly and helpful. The room was good for a small, economical room in Amsterdam. If you have no experience staying in small rooms where you do not have ample room for large check in luggage etc, you may be surprised. The room was overall clean, but the shower drain had not been cleaned in quite a while, so I had to do it myself to prevent standing in water while showering. The location is very convenient and close to the tram and tourist sites.
- Lucy (8/5): - We booked this hotel as it looked nice and was a very reasonable price for the area it was in. It’s located opposite the Rijksmuseum and for the night was cheaper than some hostels in Amsterdam. Our room was on the lower ground floor and was a small, yet clean and well built space-which was all we needed for our stay. The bed was comfy, the shower pressure was perfect and the room itself was well looked after. The digital key system was very clever and felt secure, although I did worry what might happen if my phone battery ran out when I was out and about when no one was at reception. Luckily it wasn’t an issue! The only two things I could pick a fault with was the very steep steps to the floor, although there was a lift, it seemed inconvenient to get in the lift to go down one floor so it wasn’t really a problem. The other was that the room itself with being below ground had no windows. Again, this was fine for our stay, but had we stayed a little bit longer it might have bothered us. All in all we were really happy with our stay and we would definitely recommend!

Our room was a small attic room which was clean and comfortable. The window didnt open, but there was air con.
- John (8/5): Enjoyed the Fritz! - Hotel is perfect location in the heart of the city. Very narrow staircases, but there is an elevator. You need to check in at the Mina Cafe which is attached to the hotel. Staff is very friendly. Very close to museums, bus access and canal cruises. Room was clean with some dust visible. The hotel has been renovated and has very modern showers with soft water which is very nice. The water is filtered and great for drinking. Rooms have AC/heat and windows cannot be opened. It has a tiny fridge. There is no free or cheap parking nearby. We found a parking garage a 1/4 mile away at €55 for 24 hours. We enjoyed our stay and wanted to stay longer, but they book fast! Highly recommend.

Hotel very clean and lovely en-suite, the only drawback with the inside room as ours was called, is there’s no hanging space or drawers for clothes. Maybe just a rail put on the wall would have helped. But otherwise lovely. And they even decorated our room for our birthdays.

My room was right next to the lift so was woken up various times because of this. There was also no natural light and the lighting was very dim so very difficult to see things. In a good note, there was everything you needed in the room and it was in an excellent location for museums and restaurants.

- Reg (6/5): - Fairly nice hotel but service is poor because there is nobody there between 6 PM and 8 AM. We were told to scan a QR code if we had any issues and then you message someone using Whatsapp but there was no response from anyone to help when our power went out in the evening, we had to wait until the next morning. Actually the person in the morning told me that they cant really help with anything anyway.
- Shannon (8/5): - This hotels proximity to everything. It felt very central. Check in was a breeze. The bed was comfortable and quiet. We looked out our windows at the street view below. If you are a coffee drinker they have more pods for sale at reception. The hotel is attached to a sweet cafe with espresso and snacks, light meal. Super friendly staff that are so helpful making your stay as memorable as possible. Downside was a sewer smell from the bathroom. Just keep the door closed. Also it’s not wheelchair accessible but they have a lift.
- Geoffrey (10/5): - We stayed over a weekend. There are lots of students in the area. Sunday morning there was refuse…Students? It happens. This was out of control of the Fritz. Everything else was top notch!
- LUIS FELIPE (10/5): Ótimo hotel - Hotel bonito, limpo, aconchegante e muito bem localizado. A disposição dos quartos ficou ótima e bastante funcional, considerando as limitações de espaço. O quarto era ensolarado e bem equipado. O staff foi amigável e bastante solicito. Não tivemos nenhum problema durante nossa estadia. Gostamos muito do The Fritz e recomendamos.

- Oleg (6/5): - We checked in for a 2 days stay, for which I have paid €360 to be put in an inside room, that has no outside windows at all, no sunlight and quite dark overall. Bear in mind that their listings never mention the details, so if you choose to live in a "standard double room", your understanding of standard might be tested. The AC seemed to only work for the first day, while it gave up on the second. We have asked one of the staff members to help us fix it, which they never managed to do, luckily it wasn't too hot or too cold outside during early may. As it appeared to be, this hotel has an upstair neighbour that drills, bangs all around starting from 8am during week days, and managers promise of this not happening the following day, also wasn't the case, we were woken up a dozen of times by loud noises, that are uncontrollable for the hotel. The area is great ,the museum quarter, while this isn't the hotel I would recommend, the rooms are too small, too problematic, too pricey and issues don't seem to be fixing themselves.
- Rhonda (6/5): - The hotel and hotel staff were fantastic. We had an “inside” room, which we had no idea, and therefore, had no windows to view outside. A bit disappointing. The room was very small, but it did the job, and was on a great location. I’d stay again, but ensure I had an “outside” room
- Jeanne (6/5): - Et okay hotel. Der er ikke morgenmad men kan tilkøbes i galleriet ved siden af,hvor man også checker ind. Det var lidt irriterende at når vi slukkede lyset om natten så slukkede man for strømmen, så det var ikke muligt at oplade mobilen. Mega langsom elevator og trapperne var enormt stejle og små trin. Ellers en fin lokation. Bus til lufthavnen kun 5 min derfra.
- Debra (8/5): - We stayed one night and realized when we turned the lights off in the room it also turned off the electricity to all but one outlet. Luckily we were able to plug everything we needed to charge overnight in at this outlet. We were told the next morning the wiring needed to be fixed in our room. It would have been nice to know at bedtime.
- Khashayar (10/5): - The hotel was decent overall. The room was clean and comfortable, though a bit small. Staff were polite but not very proactive. Great location, but amenities were average — and for the price, it felt a bit expensive for what you get.

- federico (2/5): Disgusting - Horrible, la habitacion es mas chica que en las fotos. En las fotos te mienten diciendo que tiene ventana con manija para abrir, y cuando llegas no tienen manija entonces no se pueden abrir. El trato de la recepcion fue malisimo. Tanto cuando llegue como cuando me fui. te hablan de mala manera.
- Jordan (8/5): - Very friendly staff. They were helpful and the coffee next door was delicious. Super close to museums and public transportation right outside the front door. Renovated location was a cool experience, this lead to some to be expected outside noice drifting into the room. Another issue that wasn’t expected was a a light in the room was directly wired to the switch that turned off all the power to the outlets of the room. For this reason I had to unscrew the lightbulb at night in order to charge our phones at night. All in all I would recommend this place to anyone traveling to this area.
- Christine (10/5): - Great locayion for museums and 2 tram stations within a 5 minute walk. Its an old building so you can hear a noise from the hallway but overall not too disruptive. Overall it was a great stay!

- Laura (4/5): Turistitasoa - Hyvällä paikalla mutta huoneeseen jäänyt siivousrätti ja likainen pyyhe mikä ei ollut mukava. Kylpyhuone haisi. Muuten ihan siisti ja remontoitu. Ei aamiaista tai muitakaan palveluita.

- Amanda (8/5): - Very nice and clean rooms! The only thing was there was barely any lighting in our room. No overhead lighting and the lamps were so small that it made it impossible to see much at night time.
- Karren Kate Isip (6/5): - Nice and friendly staff. Room was not soundproofed : you can hear EVERYTHING (other doors closing, people walking outside the room, people talking etc). It did say they can’t guarantee a quiet room but I wish they could still do something about it in the future. There was also an unpleasant smell in the bathroom and the same smell when you turn the AC in the room. Kinda like musty water. The room I got was small and there’s no place to hang your clothes at all so of you are staying for a while with plenty of luggage, it will be a hassle. There’s plenty of places to done and shop around the area which was nice.
