• Terri (4/5): I don't recommend this property. - This property is an extended-stay hotel, which was not made clear on the Hotels.com website at the time of booking. However, I have stayed at extended-stay hotels for short visits before without issue, so I didn't think much of it. Unfortunately, as our stay progressed more concerns came to light. I believe the bulk of guests were construction workers and families of the extensive road project nearby, which contributed to cooking smells in the hall and frequent yelling from parents at loud children behind closed doors. The building's fire alarm went off at 12:30AM and while it was eventually turned off, our smoke detector continued flashing a green light for the remainder of the stay. There were no typical hotel amenities such as a hairdryer, iron/ironing board, extra pillows or towels, and no maid service. The cited “free toiletries” was simply a small bar of soap and a little tube of shampoo. And the rooms were not “soundproof” as claimed. We heard the heavy-footed guests above pacing around and our neighbor’s bedframe banging against our shared wall during their post-fire alarm activities. Additionally, the floors were sticky and gross, and we felt compelled to wear our shoes in the room the entire time. The staff was friendly and did their best to make things right, but it’s clear this property was capitalizing on the university football crowds by renting their extra rooms without making any adjustments to accommodate short-terms travelers.
• KAMILLE (8/5): - Clean room and grounds. Not enough towels and the body towels were somewhat thin. However, friendly staff and would stay again!

• sandra (6/5): Bare bones - No front desk help after 6pm on weekends. Only 2 towels in the room. At least give us a coffee pot with room brew coffee! Bed was ok but overall noisy with people coming and going all night due to no quiet hours. Weird place overall. Clean but will not stay here again
• Lisa (8/5): Would book again - It was very clean and quiet. I liked the location near hiking trails, the shopping center, restaurants, and the interstate. I enjoyed my stay here, but was not prepared for the absence of kitchen wares. The freezer was very noisy when the condenser turned on. The air conditioner could not keep up with the intense heat, even with the blinds closed. There was seldom anyone around to ask questions to in the office.
• Cecily (6/5): - One of the worst equipped rooms I've stayed in. New hotel, but no USB ports of any type. No drapes, just blinds to the parking lot. I read that some of the rooms have blackout drapes, but this one didn't. No hand towels, just washcloths and bath towels, all of which were damp because the room was so humid. But worst was the bed. Sure, a comfortable mattress, but it was on metal springs that squeaked every time you moved. Don't even try any rhythmic activities on the bed. No coffee anywhere in the hotel. This place is designed for customers to bring all their own stuff and live here. It has a cooktop and full size microwave and fridge. No table, just a small built in desk. Internet is free and sufficient for email.

• Amanda (4/5): - The person that helped us with check in was lovely and kind. The rooms were clean but this is not a place to stay for anyone actually hoping to get a good nights sleep. There were doors slamming constantly and music booming from rooms all over until 3:30am….my husband and I maybe got 4 hours of sleep all night before traveling on.

• Richard (2/5): Rip off!!! - Arrived at 10:30pm. Hotel was locked and front desk closed. There was a sign saying desk closes at 9:00. This was not mentioned in the listing. There was a phone, but repeated attempts only rendered a recording. I went elsewhere for the night.

• Shakeena (10/5): Great stay - I stayed here for a month on a business trip. It was a very pleasant experience. The room was clean and comfortable. There is a full kitchen, but you have to purchase cook ware or bring your own. Did not receive housekeeping, but I cleaned my own room. I had no issues and will definitely stay again.
• James (4/5): - The property was clean and the staff was friendly. However we were given an after hours number for linen if needed, and when called they just said they would come in the morning. Not to mention that for four guests we were only given 2 towels and wash rags. Which made showering difficult since we couldn’t get more of them.

• ROBERT (6/5): - Though the hotel was just opened in January it looks as it if it was constructed too quickly. Poor quality construction resulted in stripping off of room walls and other issues. Television did not work and had to have staff change out. New TV would not shut off. Needed to unplug. One positive note - the staff was exceptional and could not do enough to help.

You can purchase a coffee maker and utensils. If only there was at the very least a coffee maker and coffee then I would have given 4 stars. The place was definitely clean as a whistle though and for non coffee drinkers it would be great.

• David (10/5): - The rooms were very new, so there was the new building smell, like a new paint job. It wasn't too overwhelming. The beds were also a little bit uncomfortable, very squeaky not in the spring squeaky but the mattress feeling like it was made from a thousand plastic bags. Otherwise, the rooms were so spacious, clean, lots of desk space, book shelves, there was even electric stove tops and a full sized refrigerator! I would definitely go back to it! In a few months, the new building smell will likely be gone, and if the beds are replaced, then it will be perfect! For the price, it's absolutely worth it. Couldn't ask for more.

I called and advised of the smells and visible dog hair on everything but all I got was a can of perfume spray, though I told the front clerk it needed to be cleaned. I sucked it up, went over the the dollar store and purchased cleaning products and cleaned the room myself. That night, there was constant doors slamming, the smells of people burning food and someone smoking in then stairwell. I also learned that one of the tenets yelling and smoking throughout the place was actually a staff member that stayed on the property. Another red flag I wasn’t aware of… See, I was there for work and was able to get things wrapped up quickly, partly related to my stay. The following week, when I was to return, I called the front desk clerk and advised I would not be and requested a refund. The guy has no problems over the phone but denies any paperwork confirmation being needed but of course, I didn’t get my refund—even though the room was rented—so they took my money and the next person’s! I will NEVER stay here again and I’d suggest you don’t either.

• Mary (10/5): New property, great location for dining, shopping. - This is a new extended-stay property, very clean, with a great kitchen and comfortable beds. This was a new option the area since I'd last visited and it offered a great rate, so I decided to give it a try, even though staying one night. The front desk people were very polite and helpful. I arrived about a half hour before check-in time but decided to stop since I was driving by on my route to my first stop. My room type wasn't ready, so I suggested doing the paperwork and I'd return later for my room assignment. Returning a couple of hours later, my room type still wasn't available, but a substitution was made for the same price. Since no breakfast was offered, I made stops for both dinner and breakfast items. The kitchenette features a full-size refrigerator and a large microwave. I did not get a chance to use the two stove burners in the countertop but would likely use them on a longer stay. The kitchen was so bright and clean, unlike other extended-stay properties I've patronized in the past. This part of the Iowa City/Coralville/North Liberty area offers many dining and shopping options. I look forward to staying here again in the future if available!

• Verified traveler (6/5): Inexpensive option - Hotel is set up more for long term guests. Staff was friendly. No breakfast and minimal amenities. Room has full sized refrigerator/freezer and a large modern microwave. They also have an electric cooktop, but do not supply any cooking utensils, plates, or silverware, however; they are available for purchase at the front desk.

• Kam (8/5): Check in was a bit unnerving but fine after that - I made the reservation online. Once I got to the hotel I couldn't enter and the lobby window was closed. I called the number several times with no answer. As I was about to cancel the reservation, I tried one more time to reach the hotel and he finally answered. After that we had no issues and our stay was pleasant.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Great place but needs more oversight - The site was beautiful and very clean. The price was also very nice. Only encountered one person while there and she was very friendly. Only negative I have is there is no one onsite 24/7 so when a fight broke out at 4am and again at 5 and 6 there was no one to call even thou they leave after hours extension. No one answered it the 3 times i called. Even left a message and no return call. Would have called 911 but there would be no one to let the police in the building .The fight was very physical and sounded like the people were breaking things and broke thru a door. After the 3rd fight decided to check out early however there is no one to check you out at the desk until 10 am! Like i said the place was nice comfortable and affordable. Just needs 24/7 on sight management
