- Mike (5/5): It was as expensive as any nice big city hotel without the level of refinement one would expect at such a place, especia - We had a larger than average suite compared to other similar “junior” suites, one of two like it. The public washrooms for the pool area were deep in the basement, far from the pool. I noticed a few groups drinking in the pool for hours and hours, not once bothering to find the hidden washrooms.

El mesero gabriel y el bartender santiago del restaurante japonés super amables Desde la llegada tuvimos problemas con el chek in ya que segun el personal de recepsion nuestra reservacion no se hizo , y que solo contaban con el.pago de una noche cuando la reserva se realizo y confirmo un día antes mediante una llamada al hotel , después nos dicen que se reservo en plan europeo cuando nuestra reserva y nuestro pago se realizó por un todo incluido , aun con pruebas de los pagos y la reserva no nos hicieron válido así que nos cobraron extras 22 mil pesos mas para poder acceder al todo incluido , accedemos a pagar y procedemos a realizar nuestra entrada y de manera burlona nos comentan que faltan 2 minutos para poder realizarla y nos piden esperar fuera de la recepción, nos sacaron , por dos minutos , y a un lado de nosotros a unos huespedes que eran originarios de estados unidos les ofrecieron agua , y esperar en el lobby , pasan los dos minutos y nos dicen que nos cambiaran de habitacion a otra mas , aun a sabiendas que pagamos exclusivamente esa habitacion con cargo extra por la vista , y nos mandaron a ina mas pequeña y donde estaban consteuyendo .El personal muy grosero, racista , clasista , déspota, burlones , nada resolutivos , tarifas ocultas , el "todo incluido" no es todo incluido , el restaurante bufete lo cierran una hr antes de lo que está estipulado , las meseras muy groseras y nada serviciales , siempre nos querían poner en la mesa mas escondida del restaurante aunque las mesas con vista al mar estuvieran solas las apartaban para los extranjeros , ningún mesero nos atendió ni se acercó a nuestra mesa para ver si todo estaba bien así como con los demás huéspedes, los camastros siempre ocupados , apartados desde las 5 de la mañana a sabiendas que según esta prohibido apartarlos , en el restaurante de snack solo hay dos opciones , guacamole y pizza , rico pero estaría mejor añadir otras opciones .

La piscine est très bien aménagée. Le personnel est très courtois et sympathique. Accès facile à la plage. Avec un forfait "tout inclus", les signatures requises pour des drinks ou les restaurants est un irritant léger, sans plus. Suggestion : offrir un buffet pour le repas du soir, car le nombre de restaurants (3) est limité.

Llegamos 5pm a comer en el italiano y prácticamente nos hicieron presión para que nos levantáramos a las 5:45 por que el servicio de reserva empezaba a las 6pm. el servicio del mesero y del gerente muy malo.

- Moises (10/5): Excelente Lugar - Todo muy bien con las instalaciones, la comida, el personal. La alberca muy grande y el agua templada. Hay actividades todos los días en el hotel y un kids club para los pequeños. Los restarutantes muy bien todos, buen servicio y la comida muy rica. El area de bebidas tambien muy bien. La playa que tiene el hotel excelente, la area muy suave, fui en octubre y el mar tenia agua templada. En realidad todo muy bien pero lo que se podira mejorar, el tiempo para el ingreso, habia mucha gente que llegaba y poco personal en mostrador. Un elevador no funcionaba por lo que habia subir los pisos necesarios para la habitación. Sería bueno que instalaran algunos cuantos cargadores para carro electrico en el estacionamiento, en realidad son detalles irrelevantes, solo que se podria mejorar.

- Mark (8/5): - The grounds and property are very nice especially the pool area. The included breakfast buffet was really amazing. Everything you could want. The staff is generally very attentive and every evening they delivered a dessert complimentary to our room. The property was maybe 20% occupancy during our stay. The main downside was the high pressure sales pitch that you are forced into the day you arrive. They told us our room wasn’t ready and that a man would “review the property and services with us”. That was for about 2 minutes of a 25 minute pitch to try to get us to attend an “informative membership presentation” the next morning. They offered discounts for the restaurants, a discounted tour, 15 free drinks and even bottles of liquor. We had no interest, but he persisted. Later even offering a free tour. He was unhappy with our rejection which made us both a bit uncomfortable if the staff was unhappy with us. Of course our room was ready after the pitch. This seems mandatory so please expect this sales pitch. Also, the exchange rate was VERY LOW at the hotel and they tried to force us to use taxis (double the cost vs. Uber). We wish we knew this before arriving and may have played a role in our decision to stay here.

There is no point of an "upgrade room" voucher when you have already paid for the room and these vouchers are given after the fact.

The only 2 things is that air conditionate on room made too much noise, and they charge a 15% tip plus 16% tax on every bill (in Mexico service is charged separetely) so beware on double tipping when paying the bill.

- Mari Lyn (8/5): - We absolutely love staying at Villa del Palmar! The resort's location right on the ocean is unbeatable, and most of the rooms offer stunning ocean views. We had an amazing balcony with comfortable outdoor seating, perfect for relaxing and taking in the scenery. The rooms are spacious with cozy beds, and the pool area is both beautiful and expansive, featuring plenty of comfortable lounge chairs. One of our favorite things is enjoying the ocean view while swimming in the pool. The pool staff is especially friendly and attentive—there’s always someone nearby to take your drink order. This was our second stay at Villa del Palmar, and we definitely plan to return. However, we did experience a few issues during this visit. Our room wasn’t as clean as expected upon arrival; we found some leftover food and debris on the floor, and the balcony furniture, bedside table, and desk were quite dusty. I ended up cleaning and sanitizing the space before we unpacked. Additionally, one of the recessed lights in our room was flickering. We reported it to the front desk the next morning, but unfortunately, it wasn’t addressed during our stay. On our last full day, we also didn’t receive fresh towels and had to track down a housekeeper, who was not very friendly. Despite these inconveniences, the beauty of the resort and the overall experience still made our stay enjoyable. We’re hopeful that these were isolated issues, and we’re looking forward to coming back again soon!

- PATY (8/5): - Room was great, provided with the bottle of wine as listed VIP, however, did not honor free breakfast, they tried to get in to a as talk for Time share to get it. If you do not choose all inclusive or go to the talk for time share, they treat you a bit bitter. As part of VIP we had 10 percent discount, but had to basically fight to get it, because they do not apply it. Beach and pool are great.

- Kerry (8/5): - Many things to like about the property. Rooms are wonderful and clean, housekeeping was amazing and location is good. Only issue was the staff was not very friendly, the $75 day spa credit was a joke (you can only use credit from 4 to 7pm and massages started at $230) and they are a little too pushy about the timeshare option.

I had to wait for one hour at such a late hour of the night when I was so tired and just wanted to get to my room. An Expedia chat worker had to call the resort several times to get me to my room eventually. Since my time here I have been gouged. They keep adding extra costs onto every time I order food or drinks. They make mistakes on my bill and try to add extra costs on. The service has been terrible and the drinks are awful. I am definitely not happy and I really wish I did not pick this property And I didn’t even get the property that I actually chose. I’m hoping you can look into what you can do because I have a lot of extra charges now with being here and the staff just ignores me and they don’t really speak English very well. - Ashley (10/5): AMAZING!! - We had a horrible experience at Canto Del Sol and booked Flamingos last minute. They took care of us from the minute we arrived and helped turn our vacation around. They gave us an amazing room and the entire time we were there the service was top notch. I will absolutely be coming back and telling all of my friends and family to come here as well. This will be the first of many times I stay at flamingos

- Sarah (7/5): Just ok - Very friendly staff Building 1 does not get direct sun. Room was damp and all my clothes remained damp. Hallways were very noisy with staff, loud talking and carts rolling by. We could not get into our room and it took an hour for main to come and figure it out. Breakfast was good but super expensive at $30 for buffet. Not enough counter space in bathroom for toiletries. Bed was ok, kind of soft. Stupid loud music at pool areas. Several people tried to sell timeshares.

- Christine (10/5): We always have a great time when we come here! - We have been coming Villa del Palmar Flamingos on and off since 2004. Since 2022, we have been coming once or twice a year to accommodate my parents. The staff is exceptional! We love the pool and the pizza/bar and Italian restaurants. We enjoy walking the beach and using the canoes. Unfortunately, some of the restaurants are becoming very expensive, like the breakfast buffet (although a 2 for 1 is offered in the early morning), and El Patron. Since the place was built in 2003-2004, it is starting to show some wear and tear. In 2023, the pool was very cloudy and the water fountains weren't working.

- Mitchell (8/5): Excellent place, friendly staff lousy liquor and most of the food is good. The liquor served is so bad. - It is well kept. But I have to take exception with management. When you have parties or functions the property should be cleaned thoroughly and all the portable furniture should be put away before the guests wake in the morning. The room we had was kept beautifully clean and the woman that turned down the bedding at night has such a pretty smile. She enjoyed her job. Most of the staff was like that. The staff is not on the same page and you get conflicting information and some are wrong. When we arrived at check in that person who is the first person you meet needs to be reminded that that fact. If she smiled I bet it would have been the first time in her tenure. I asked for something and was dismissed. I had requested since the original booking for a high floor with Ocean View. Well every room has an Ocean View. The room we stayed in was very nice but I could hear everything going on in the lobby and early morning staff movements.

It is nice to have a resort where non inclusive is a choice The junior suite should have two chairs and a kitchen. Computer system for check in and check out was down which resulted in key mix ups and excessive time and paper. It is an expensive resort so the rooms should be better furnished.

- Maria (9/5): It was a great family trip except for the hiccups when registering, we had a great room after. - Hotel and mist workers were very nice, I had been there before Paid for a junior suite and my daughter paid for a regular room and her room was bigger than mine. When I asked they said there was no difference, just the price which was a big difference. They said they would change us to a different room since the one they gave us had a few things that needed fixing, but front lady was not very nice about that. Not until my husband was upset and complained, they gave us a different room… really did take a “man” to talk, To get heard?

The rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff were fast and efficient in cleaning our rooms. The pool staff and waiters were friendly, and worked very hard to meet every guest’s needs. We did not do the all inclusive so I cannot comment on the food. We ate in local restaurants and walked to Bucerias daily. Would definitely return to this hotel.

I didn’t like that the water in the shower was not warm enough. This was the first time this happened. I had stayed there several times and it was not a problem. But overall it’s my favorite resort so far.
- Eric (6/5): - We liked that everything was close due to the size of the facility, the pool was large and relaxing and it was a short hop to dive into the ocean. The ocean view from our balcony allowed us to watch dolphins and whales swimming across the Bay, that was very cool. The staff were very friendly, however they were uninformed when it came to the discount promotions we were offered. We found ourselves walking back and forth from the restaurants to the front desk trying to get clarification. The reward for going to the Ownership Presentation was certificates amounting to $150 US dollars, but all pricing at the restaurants was in pesos. The posted exchange rate was a little over 18 pesos/$ which should have made a $50 certificate worth 900 pesos, the waiters were adamant that the certs were worth 800 pesos. We were told we could use them all over the property but that turned out to be limited. My wife very much enjoyed her spa treatments

We opted to stay here despite the rest of our family and friends staying at another resort for a destination wedding we all were attending and I am so glad I chose this resort! From the minute we arrived we had exceptional service and the rooms were amazing! The food choices were great and the staff was amazing! We felt welcomed and always were cared for with great service! I highly recommend this place for families looking to relax and also to have options for things to do. The concierge offered great options and we even found the horses on the beach an amazing last minute choice!

No breakfast menu restaurant- only buffet. The theme night shows are tied into paying for a buffet. Not informed about that and had already ate dinner so no shows for us. The elevator near our room was broken. Mom had a long walk to go anywhere.
