Guest Reviews
- Charles (8/5): - Clean room, friendly staff, good breakfast.
- terry (6/5): - It says it’s a pub, but the pub was closed off and had to wait for someone to come and let me in.
Couldn’t have a shower as it looked like there was a hole in the bath.
- Simon (2/5): - This hotel is not in whitby as stated on the website and it certainly is not in walking distance of the abbey. Absolutely no help from this hotel at all to sort the issue.
- A (10/5): Walking trip - Everything went smoothly, breakfast was very good.
The Board Inn is in Hawes, not Whitby as Hotels.com has it listed
- Susan (2/5): - We booked 2 nights paid Expedia £140 when we arrived the property was being renovated not open!!! We tried calling Expedia no answer we had to find alternative accommodation we have e mailed Expedia for an answer as to what’s happened plus who did they pay our money to???? We cannot get a answer or a refund we have been ripped off never using Expedia AGAIN
- Micheal (8/5): The Board Inn “Hawes” - Stay went well, room very clean and room facility’s very good, breakfast was great value and plentiful. WiFi was there but couldn’t open applications, so a bit frustrating when trying to plan a re-route in the morning, because although I booked the hotel with the same name “The board Inn” in Whitby, and on my confirmation the map showed the Whitby hotel but “Hotels.com” booked the hotel with the same name in “Hawes”!! That was some two hours away from where we wanted to be! When questioned the staff said this had happened the week before but was the other way round! So be very carful when booking on this site. Fortunately for us, it wasn’t a big issue but being the opposite side of the country could cause some people a big problem. I have certainly learnt my lesson… I would certainly stay again but maybe a planned stay next time….
- Suzanne (2/5): - The Board in in Whitby as linked in the advert is closed down and vacant. The whitby address is in correct. The hotel owner, OYO and expedia.co.uk all know this yet its still being advertised as being in Whitby. Do not book.
- Jane (2/5): - This hotel listing is incorrect we booked a hotel we thought was in Whitby but this property has been closed for at least the last few months and apparently this hotel is actually in hawes 80miles from Whitby despite all info showing it is in Whitby so we turned up in whitby , no hotel and nowhere else to stay at an affordable price in the Easter holidays so had to go home
Do not book this hotel until the issues sorted - check trip advisor we are not the only ones who have been affected
- Sarah (2/5): No such accommodation - This property doesn't exist. I arrived at a building site that hadn't offered accommodation for over 2 years, yet i had confirmation emails of our stay. Im in the process of trying to get my money back
