Guest Reviews
- Joob (8/5): - The staff was friendly. The place was quiet. But the heater wasn't work. It was so cold at night. The toilet wasnt clean properly.
- G Dreamwork (8/5): - all
- Jennifer (8/5): Hospital Stay - Great place to stay. Close to St John of God hospital. Especially when you have elderly parents. The staff at Golden Hills were very helpful. Would definitely recommend staying there.
- Maree (6/5): - The property was close to restaurants.
- Andre (6/5): - Reception unattended… 10 minutes before someone turned up to check in
- Pamela (8/5): - Older style motel but very comfortable. Exterior/driveway/parking bays all re done. Bathroom had been renovated. Bed was very comfy & nice white sheets. Walls could do with painting and an extra lick or safety chain on door for added security.
Would stay again without hesitation
- Fiona (8/5): Great stay - Comfortable room and bed, l asked for a quiet room which was given and appreciated.only had noisy people in the end room on the last day very early in the morning yelling and slamming doors. Overall very pleasant stay and would stay again
- Martin (8/5): - Quaint motel - aged but in good nick.
Great comfy bed - very obliging operators
En route to next location- so convenience.
- Dylan (10/5): - Nice cheap safe comfy good staff
- Violeta (4/5): - The hotel was over priced and look very neglected won’t give you a safe or welcome feeling , the lock was not secure , the walls were paper thin I could hear people having a normal conversation all night until 6 am on the first night ,2nd night man snoring all night just horrible I think it should be rated 2 stars and cost no more than $100 per night
I’d pay over $350 per night I will complain to consumers affairs it’s just abusive how much they charge- it really ruined my stay
Keep away from this horrible place not a nice area ether
- Samantha (8/5): - Clean comfortable accomodation at great price.
- Darren (6/5): - Constant light coming in through the windows, no cleaning items. Staff super helpful
- Emily (6/5): - The family room we stayed in had recently been renovated. The bathroom was the most modern and stylish looking bathroom I’ve ever seen in a motel. But the toilet seat was loose, the hot water took ages to come through, we were only given one towel for three people and the cleaners had forgotten to empty the bin. It was an adjoining room and we had to sleep with ear plugs in since we could hear every word from the people next door. We were only there one night and didn’t use any of the general facilities so can’t comment on those.
- Mehran (6/5): - It is affordable and the person at the reception was polite and helpful. The bathroom was disgusting with mold on the junctions, broken sliding door to the bathroom and leaking tap. The AC works but takes a long time to warm the room The carpet is old. To summarise it's a rundown motel.
- Robert (8/5): Value for money stay. - For a low budget Motel the room was clean, quiet and comfortable and good value for money. Comfortable bed and would stay there again. Shopping not within walking distance but a take away pizza shop and Petrol station with well stocked convenience store 150 mtrs away. Limited stock of alcoholic bevereges available at Reception.
- Clio (6/5): - it was fine for what we needed for the weekend but there was no hot water to have a shower.
- Mark (8/5): - Nice place quiet from traffic, Comfy beds highly recommend
- Gordon (6/5): - I cannot recommend this motel. Our room was described as a "Superior Family Room"... I would hate to see an inferior family room. We paid a high price for this room because it was a long weekend and I have to say it definitely was not value for money.
The motel was probably built in the 1960s, the carpark had so many craters in it it looked like a minefield. The "decor" of the room was terrible - very shoddy paintwork, veneer falling off cupboards and drawers. We found two used mugs in a drawers that had obviously not been washed. The toilet had a large chunk of porcelain missing... fortunately on the rim!
The motel is also on a busy road, so was quite noisy.
On the positive side I found our bed quite comfortable and the linen was clean.
However, $242 for a single night was exorbitant for this motel.
- BRIAN (8/5): - Nice bed
- Christopher (8/5): - Property requires a lot of maintenance/updating, internet wasn't usable but beds were comfortable
- Darren Van (4/5): - Property and room stunk like cigarette smoke. Was conviently postioned for what we needed, but our bags and clothes still smelt like smoke when we got home from our trip. Aircon did keep room cool. Albeit it was almost 30 degrees overnight.
- Francis (6/5): - Motel is showing it's age needs some care
- Denis (8/5): - An old motel but clean and had everything we needed.
- Wayne (6/5): - Need a lot of cleaning up around building
