- Michael (4/5): Tired property. No air conditioning - The location is decent about 10 minutes from main Whistler Village. Lake Placid Lodge is a tired property built in 1989 and in need of a major renovation. The loft unit itself was clean. The major issue was no air conditioning (not mentioned in listing) in the middle of July required a fan running for four straight days which did not cool the unit. The security codes to access the lobby and garage only work some of the time. The main hallway carpets are stained. The toilet water ran continuously. I travel regularly and don't complain about my accommodation often. This property is overpriced. Do yourself a favour and stay in Whistler Village for the same price with air conditioning. I will not return to this property.
