- patra (2/5): - (PLEASE READ) I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. My experience in Miami was absolutely terrible. The room we were initially given was dirty, the lights didn’t work, and we were forced to move all of our belongings to a different room that was not like the one we booked. While we were in the process of moving our things, the staff entered the old room without our permission, stole my Cartier ring, and “claimed” they threw away the rest of our belongings. We did not return the old room key at the time because we were still moving, and when I specifically asked when we should bring it down, they said there was no specific time frame, which now seems like a deliberate tactic to steal guests’ belongings. Another guest I spoke to mentioned having very similar complaints, which makes me believe this may be a recurring issue. The staff were rude, disrespectful, and unhelpful, and housekeeping never came. The hotel felt unsafe, with homeless people lingering outside. The new room they moved us into also had serious issues: the hot water stopped working and most of the time there were maintenance workers in the room who could not communicate in English. I also ended up with bug bites all over my body from the conditions in the hotel and had to take all of my clothes to a dry cleaner while on vacationThis hotel is DIRTY,UNSAFE and full of false advertising. The entire stay was ruined by theft, maintenance problems, and unprofessional staff. Do not waste your money here!

- Jacob (4/5): - We have stayed at the Kompose in Orlando, even during its renovation stage, and we really liked that place. Even though the furnishings were not really that nice, and looked like it was close out specials, the rest of the place and the friendliness of the staff made it a great stay. The Kompose in Miami should be called Kompost because it’s closer to that than a nice hotel. The staff is not really helpful. Everything is just geared towards being easier for them and less convenient for the customer. The rooms bring you back to your college/first apartment years, looking to me like it was furnished by leftover furniture family members didn’t want anymore. In my opinion, the mismatched furnishings, king beds with the smallest pillows in existence, and close out plumbing fixtures really make it no fun to be in. The shower would go in and out of hot water, waking you up with a surprise shot of cold water. No actual TV channels, you have to use your own streaming services on the TV. Things that are typically free are an extra cost. Using the pool, $6 a night. Using the tiny gym is $6 night. Parking is $15 a night. Bottled water is either $3.50 or $6 a bottle. The bar/bistro is insanely overpriced for poor quality food. That is owned by a different company (in the evening hours) but that is no excuse. If the food is bad, and the bartenders aren’t friendly, it’s a reflection of the hotel. A mixed drink was $14 (couldn’t taste the alcohol) and burger was a frozen patty.
- mary (10/5): - The front desk staff was so attentive toward me. I was afraid at first because as a woman traveling alone safety is a huge requirement for me. The room was immaculate! The bed was nice and cozy. The bathroom was large, towels looked brand new and were spotless Gabriel and the other young man were courteous and so helpful. I definitely would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Hotel is nicely appointed in a hipster, minimalist decor which is comfortable and tasteful. Had breakfast at the restaurant one morning and it was good, fresh, hot and delicious.

My only cons would be the pillows were not comfy for me and we got $30 to spend on food and they made us spend it on breakfast who he was only $10 a person so $10 went to waste and we spent monies on snacks in their little snack area and seems $30 spendable cash should have been able to be used on that or dinner or anything of the customers choosing. Otherwise it was a good stay.
