Robin (8/5): - Rooms are very clean and well designed. Except the shower door was difficult to open and close, there was no bar open and no restaurant and this made the hotel feel as though it wasn’t thriving. Breakfast was good except dogs are allowed in the breakfast room. This makes the place feel dirty. This hotel is a mixed bag, some good things and then some poor features . !

Kim (10/5): Anniversary trip - Stayed here previously and as usually adds to the reason why we good away for a few days. Attentative staff, luxury rooms, great breakfast and all the little extras that make you feel special but still at home.
Susan (8/5): - Beautiful, peaceful room and gardens. Staff friendly and attentive. Breakfast 10/10. We felt that having paid £238 for the room and breakfast it was a bit much to have to pay an extra £25 to use the spa facilities for one person for only one hour. Otherwise a lovely stay.

Richard (8/5): - The breakfast was poor. I was warned my kippers would take 20 minutes so chose salmon and scrambled eggs. these arrived after 19 minutes; the egg was almost inedibly dried up. As so often, the catering fell way behind the rest of the hotel services.

Breakfast was extremely good, it was just a shame that the restaurant is closed at present but lots of places to eat within walking distance. We are looking forward to going back in 3 weeks time for another 2 night stay.
Clarissa (10/5): - This was an absolute gem of a retreat. I was on a choir visit at The Abbey and needed to get there and back quickly between rehearsals and services and the place was just gorgeous. Beautifulmbig bedroom with all those little touches and sweet garden. Staff really helpful about leaving the car there after checkout and having a friend over for coffee. Breakfast was incredible…I want to come back!!!
