Guest Reviews
- Barbara M (10/5): - Very cute comfortable room. Check in was easy with the instructions by text. Would definitely stay here again. There is a great coffee shop right next door that has wonderful coffee, pastries and breakfast sandwiches.
- Paula (4/5): - I'm 5'3" tall, but the sink was so high up on a counter over the fridge, I could barely reach it to wash my face. Decor was pretty ugly with fake ivy vines hanging over the pictures. Bedspreads looked a little old, but I will assume they were clean. Other than that, it seemed pretty clean and it was quiet, and there was a nice coffee shop just a couple doors down.
- Jan (2/5): - Place and area was creepy
- Keith (10/5): Amazing little hotel and location - Perfect location for my business trip to the hospital, which is a block and a half away. They only have two rooms available while they renovate the building. However, they are very well done and actually have more of an air bnb vibe than a hotel. Which is awesome for those of us who stay at way too many chain hotels for work. Decent mattress and good amenities, including a refrigerator and freezer, plus a kitchen sink. The TV in the main room could be larger; it’s 32”, a bit small for the room, but I don’t spend much time watching TV on a business trip. Restaurants well within walking distance as well. Definitely on my favorites list, will stay next time I come to Salmon!
- Jan (10/5): - It’s a beautiful old building that the couple is remodeling, and we were the very first guests in our room. They had just finished it the night before, and it was wonderful. We slept so well—I even asked the owner about the brand of the bed because it was so comfortable. The room was very quiet, which made it even better.
There’s a coffee bar attached to the building that will deliver room service, though we didn’t use that option. Instead, we visited the coffee shop twice, and both coffees were absolutely delicious.
I did make a mistake when booking and accidentally gave the wrong phone number for the passcode text. Because of that, I had to contact the owner to resend it. She responded within minutes and quickly fixed the issue, which I really appreciated. Everything was handled easily through text, which was very convenient.
The location is fantastic—perfect for us since everything was within walking distance. We shopped, visited the farmers market on Saturday, enjoyed coffee, ate local food, and even went out to the nearby bars. For our two-night stay, we couldn’t have been happier!
- Sheryl (8/5): - It was unique and loved the decor. The mattress was wonderful and would like to find out what kind it was. Definitely a great night's rest.
First time using a code on the doors. Liked it though 👍 Also glad it was on the side street.
- Kevin L (6/5): - It was unique. Clean bedding. Old building smell.
- David (10/5): - Nice area close to several food options
- Joe (8/5): - The room was clean and comfortable with parking just outside the room. Room had a refrigerator, microwave and coffee.
- Allie (2/5): - Absolutely Disgusting - Stay Away!
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I booked two nights here, and while the first night was fine, the second night was an absolute nightmare. The blanket on the bed smelled like urine-not a faint odor, but an overwhelming stench that made it clear it hadn't been properly cleaned. When we checked the extra blanket in the cabinet, it had white body fluid stains all over it... Completely unacceptable.
I contacted the owners, who assured me that
"everything was cleaned" and brought us new comforters, but at that point, how could I trust that anything in this hotel was actually sanitary?
We immediately booked a room elsewhere because there was no way we were staying another night. I requested a refund for the second night, which was more than fair given the disgusting conditions, but the owner refused. He claimed that because they offered a new blanket, that was a "sufficient resolution" —as if I should feel lucky to be given a clean blanket in the first place! Even worse, the implication was that we had somehow made the blanket smell like urine, which is both insulting and absurd.
This was hands down the most unprofessional and unhygienic hotel experience I've ever had. If you care at all about cleanliness, customer service, or basic human decency, do not stay here. Go 2 minutes down the road to stagecoach inn. After telling them my experience with this hotel, they gave me a great discount, room, and were extremely accommodating
- Taylor (10/5): - Lovely property
- Patricia L (10/5): Wonderful stay - The room was large and comfortable. It has a full size refrigerator, microwave, sink, dishes and microwave. I love the Roku TV! The old building this mini apartment is in is beautiful and the owner is doing a great job of restoring it. The attached coffee shop is really wonderful. The directions for self check in were perfect. The only work in process was there is no bathroom sink. I just used the kitchen sink.
- Bettina (10/5): - Thanks
- Anthony (10/5): - Easy and convenient location for wonderful food and drink as well as the wonderful outdoor activities as well. Love the quaintness of the room and convenience of the easy entry at any time.
- Andrew (8/5): - Cozy bed made for an enjoyable stay.
