- Toni (8/5): Beautifully Styled Apartment with a Helpful Host - We recently stayed at this 2-bedroom apartment in Birmingham & were impressed by the beautiful interior design & stylish décor. The apartment itself is modern, comfortable & thoughtfully laid out.
The host was incredibly friendly & helpful, with excellent communication before & during our stay—something we really appreciated. There is 24-hour building security, and the guards were friendly, professional and helpful.
While the apartment was lovely, there are a few things worth noting. The common areas of the building (outside of the apartment) are in need of serious upkeep & regular cleaning & unfortunately, there was a strong, unpleasant smell throughout the hallways.
Inside the apartment, the oven, fridge & freezer needed a clean & strong odours were noticeable when these doors were opened. The kitchen was missing some basic items but the host’s kind & responsive nature made us happy to purchase & leave a few useful bits behind for future guests. A toaster would be a great addition going forward.
In terms of location, the apartment is a short 10 minute walk to the Bullring Shopping Centre & Birmingham City Centre, with Birmingham Coach Station only 2 blocks away. We enjoyed our walks west from the apartment, where we found great little stores and charming thrift shops. However, we didn’t always feel safe walking east.
All in all, with a few updates and some attention to the building's maintenance, this apartment could be a real gem.
