Guest Reviews
- Karen (10/5): - The only little complaint we had was the checking in process. We were told we’d get an email telling us how to check in which we never got. Also there seemed to be a difference between the info on hotels dot com and the places own website. But other than that, the room was lovely, well equipped, clean, comfortable. The bathroom was amazing and spotless. Would definitely recommend
- Mike (8/5): Good, but needing some thought. - First impressions were not good, as entrance to rooms was through a passage that smelt of urine, and had barrels of beer to side. Then up steep stairs to new pleasant corridor to rooms.
Room was new, clean and pleasant, but lacked certain items i.e. hooks for coats etc. and places to put personal items - washbag, case, bags etc.
- Max (10/5): - Totally surprised how nice the room was in the Stag.
Room was immaculate, everything worked, cleaned and replenished with tea/coffee and biscuits, bed made and clean towels, Yes!!! Every day.
The staff were also extremely friendly and helpful, couldn’t do enough for us, if I wanted anything it was given and more without question.
The location was great for getting into Wroxham and for driving elsewhere.
Thank you for our lovely week to all the staff.
- Paul (10/5): - Lovely place, friendly staff, excellent food and perfect location for us.
- Adam (10/5): The stag Salhouse what an Amazing place !!! - Steve (landlord) what a great and warm welcome. Couldn’t do enough for you.
We stayed in the “oak” room and what a room.
The “double”shower was absolutely amazing and so spacious
Everything inside the room was well kept and clean !!
The stag is a lovely country pub with a restaurant inside too and definitely did not disappoint!!!
The food and drinks were absolutely amazing. A small menu which always a great sign as the food would be great and it definitely was !!
The staff was quick and couldn’t do enough for you either.
- Dean (10/5): - Lovely room nice and clean.
- Patricia (10/5): Our recent stay - It was very good. The room was very clean, spacious and well maintained. The parking situation was excellent as were the staff. No complaints at all and highly recommend.
- Claire (6/5): - Lovely friendly check in. Room had no hooks in bedroom or bathroom for towels. No mirror in bedroom. Sink was so small that water splashed everywhere. Windows wouldnt stay open and when wedged open then smell of cooking oil.
- KENNETH (10/5): Recent stay June 2025 - Lovely stay at the Stag, very good quality rooms, food first class and all served by friendly staff, highly recommend.
- Emma (10/5): - What an absolutely stunning place to stay. I stayed in the
- Kim (6/5): - Vegetarian option not good. Very noisy room from outside up to 12 midnight. Bathroom was far to small.
- Andrew (8/5): - Lovely room above the main pub. The room is quite small and would benefit from some storage solutions for things like suitcases and towels. I would also say it needs some artwork on the bedrooms walls! That being said, it is very stylishly done and the pub is very nice with good food. I would certainly recommend!
- Andrew (10/5): - Absolutely brilliant service
- Verified traveler (6/5): Will improve - It was ok , freezer alarm went of from 5.30am to 7.00 am.annoying !!
Menu average buy tasty, only just reopened so less options .
