Guest Reviews
- LaDon (10/5): - Great location in Tropic to be able to drive to Bryce Canyon. Tiny cute town!
- maria (4/5): - The lobby was dirty. The room had light bulbs that were out . No soap . Laundry area was dirty and most machines out of order. The location was good for Bryce NP
- Barbara (8/5): Great restaurant next door - The room was ok. We took showers in the evening without any issues. In the morning, I ran the hot water for a spell but didn't get hot water. Don't know what that was about. The ice maker was broken. They didn't have any soap in the room or at the front desk. Breakfast included bagels (Thomas's) which was a nice break from the usual waffles. The restaurant next door was fantastic.
- Kimmer (6/5): - Our stay was OK. The towels felt cheap. The shower/toilet room was very cramped. The ice machine was broken. The breakfast was average. My biggest concern is the lack for environmental awareness. Use of individual plastic bottles rather than dispensers in the shower increase waste and use, since once a bottle is opened it is thrown away even if there is unused shampoo. Using styrofoam in the breakfast area is irresponsible since there are many paper products that are more easily composted or will breakdown in landfills.
- Steve (10/5): - What a view. suitable for our needs. shower was a little cramped. nice stay though with nice staff
- Merly (8/5): - AC unit is noisy. Carpet not very clean. I like that they offer free breakfast
- Deborah (8/5): - Could use a little updating outside but overall clean rooms. Bathroom needs updated tub in our room, permanent stains in it
- David (10/5): - Excellent
- Robin (6/5): - All good
- Janice (2/5): - The lobby was closed when we arrived so we had to wait until 3:00 to check in. I had to wait while the woman at the front desk was on the phone with personal business. The first room we were given was missing a smoke detector. The desk chair was broken. The next room we were given had a smoke detector but lights that had burned out in some of the fixtures. The carpet was dirty. We stayed one night and left. The beds were very comfortable but I think the facility needs a major overhaul.
- Diana (8/5): - Nice basic motel in a great location very close to Bryce Canyon NP. Room was spacious and clean. Office is only open part of the day, which was a bit inconvenient, but the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Decent restaurant and market adjacent to the motel. Wifi was unreliable.
- Steve (10/5): - Tons to do around town
- Alice (6/5): - They didn't tell me closed at 8:00 pm. I arrived at 9:00pm, they just taped the envelope with the key card on the door. It's no problem just I come late.
- Jo (8/5): - Parking was fine. No daily servce for multi night stays but plenty of linens , coffee, etc.
- Andrew (6/5): - Parking felt safe, but unlit. There’s an awesome coffee shop a few blocks away. The carpet and shower in the room was dirty and our towel rack broke. The staff was helpful and nice. Room smelled like dogs and urine.
- Jennifer (4/5): - Pictures online are deceiving.
- LAWRENCE (10/5): - Parking-yes. Laundry-NA
- Jay (4/5): - No lighted parking, no staff, no tv for 2 night stay and no working electric outlet in bathroom area.
- Jeffery (8/5): - It was alright no fault of the inn, customer had his diesel truck idling very early in the am
- Chonghui (6/5): - TV in room doesn't work.
- Mark (6/5): - A/C unit was super loud, requiring us to shut it off and open a window. Refrigerator was also loud. Light in bathroom was broken. Comfortable bed and friendly staff.
- Sarah (8/5): - This property worked for what we needed it for, a one night stay passing through on our road trip. Didn't really use facilities, towels/wash cloths did have some stains on them. Bed was ok. It is outdated. But, again, for price point and somewhere to sleep after hiking all day it served its purpose. Was able to walk to restaurant for dinner and felt safe in quiet town.
- Lisa (6/5): - Shower curtain was broken so water was on the floor. Air conditioner faulty.
- Mike (4/5): - Just titally disappointed in the iverall cindition of this place. Rooms were old, run down and extremely dated. The owners should refreshbthis place instead of sucking All the cash flow out ofnit.
- Edward (6/5): - We did not realize that breakfast was not available until 8 am. It was a lot different of a property than it looks on line from pictures. Great location but I would pass on the Red Ledges.
- Robert (4/5): - Carpets are dirty (sticky in places). Vent in bathroom does not work. Air conditioner is ineffective and noisy. No night staff at the desk. In fact, no staff until sometime after 07:30, the time we left.
There appears to be much better options in town, try them instead.
There are no circumstances under which I wouldd recommend this property.
- Richard (6/5): - Dated room, with very tiny bathroom. Linens were changed each day, but beds were not made. Wifi was spotty at best. Continental breakfast was minimally acceptable but cramped.
- Jose (6/5): - The hotel is old and badly kept. Parking ok, little town was charming.
- Susan (6/5): - The room was large and the bed comfortable, but the property needs some upgrading.
- Jim (6/5): - Breakfast doesn't start until most people are already gone to start the day, never could get coffee in our room
- Michael (8/5): - Nice and quiet. Clean. No coffee maker but they did have a Continental breakfast. Unfortunately didn't start until 8:30 and we needed to hit the road. Wi-Fi very slow and T-Mobile cell service does NOT work but that's not their fault. It didn't work anywhere else in town either
- Darin (8/5): - This is not a 5 star resort!! Knowing that, it has all that we needed. Rooms with a bed, shower, and a TV. The room was what we expected, not up to date, but all we needed. The breakfast was very basic. Again, knowing that, it was fine. If you need a place to be close to Bryce Canyon but do not want to spend a bunch, this place will do just fine. It is not amazing, but it worked for us.
- Stephen (6/5): - The location of the property is very nice. Unfortunately they need to work on some things. The shower needs a new shower head. The outside stairs are very dirty with spider webs. Breakfast was good, but started late (8:00). The gardens need some work too. The windows need to be washed. The bed was nice.
- ADRIAN (2/5): - Our key stopped working, it's midnight and we cannot get in! There's nobody in the lobby and the Room 202!!
- Elaine (4/5): - This hotel is in disrepair. We moved rooms 3 times for problems in the room: 1- smoke detector chirping, 2, tv didn’t work. At the same time another customer had inches of water in the tub that wouldn’t drain. There was no one on site working. NO cleaners, the place was filthy. Pink mold on shower curtains, Black mold around sink drains. Never saw a cleaning person in 2 days. Sheets had stains, so slept on blanket. Everything was runned down, worn out and stained. Never would I stay here again.
- Peter (6/5): - Bathroom could have been cleaner.
- Amelia (6/5): - Overall our stay was good. The breakfast was good - we just would like it to start earlier.
- Tammy (2/5): - The key did not work, we had to go to the desk for help, new key given but still an issue. No one at the desk to help. Our experience was horrible
- JoLyn (6/5): - This is a very average hotel with just the basics.
- Tamra (2/5): - The young lady who checked us in should not have been running the place on her own. She did not know how to unlock the door or check us in. She had to face time an employee to work the computer. The room was very dirty as well. Hair all over the bed as well as in the shower. Will not be staying here ever again
- Paul (8/5): - Spacious room, friendly staff, comfortable bed. It was nice to be able to open a window for some fresh air when so many places are hermetically sealed with air conditioning!
Breakfast was basic and some fresh fruit would have been welcome.
- Kenneth (4/5): - The location was great for visiting Bryce Canyon National Park. The evening staff was terrific in accommodating our late arrival. Breakfast hours were posted for 8-9:30am. Morning staff didn't report to work until 8:15 so don't expect any breakfast to be set out before 8:30am. There were numerous maintenance problems in the room. Toilet paper holder fell off the wall. Towel bar also fell off the wall resulting in towels in the toilet. Coffee maker did not work and was absent in one of our rooms. These issues were reported to the morning staff but nothing was rectified during our 2 night stay. Overall, we were wishing we had chosen a different place to stay.
- Danielle (6/5): - Loved that it was a little town close to Bryce but outside all the chaos. Quaint and peaceful. Rooms were ok and breakfast was very limited. Office hours also limited 7-11 and 3-8. Restaurant, General store and gas station right next door were great and convenient
- Luis (10/5): - Stayed 1 night while going to Zion. Place was clean, quiet and convenient. Keep in mind limited dining options nearby and everything closes early. Other then that place was great easy check in and check out
- TJ (8/5): - Hi
- Don and Shawna (6/5): - We liked our stay here. The breakfast was nice for the price we paid for the room. The desk help was very nice and friendly. The room was roomy and we enjoyed the large bathroom. The entire motel is dated and worn. The outside is not landscaped or clean.
The only bad thing we experienced was how dirty the carpet was in our room. When we packed up to leave, we always check under the beds to make sure we dont leave anything. Unfortunately there was a dirty diaper and other garbage under the bed. We were totally grossed out.
- Mili (10/5): - The environment is good, and the receptionist at the front desk is very good.
- jerry (8/5): - Clean and comfortable. Only problem we had was the coffee maker in the room didn't work and the breakfast didn't start until 8am.
- Norman (4/5): - Das Hotel hat eine tolle Lage als Ausgangspunkt zum Bryce Canyon. Das Personal ist freundlich und das Frühstück ganz ok. Leider hat unser Zimmer förmlich gestunken. Was m.E. vom stark verschmutzen Bodenbelag kam. Wir haben unsere Socken lieber nicht ausgezogen … es sollte mehr Möglichkeiten geben, abends draußen zu sitzen… alles in allem enttäuschend für den Preis, alles unter 50$ halte ich für angemessen.
- Binh (10/5): - Clean . stuff was nice. Quiet
- Bernadette (10/5): - Decent sized rooms. Quiet. Restaraunt and general store were across the parking lot which was very convenient.
- Toni (6/5): - The place was okay
- Jon (8/5): Clean, quiet hotel near Bryce Canyon National Park - Our room was clean and fairly new. The location is near Bryce Canyon NP, which made it easy to get to the park. The breakfast was good, but not extensive - bagels and cereal mostly.
- Marissa (2/5): - Do not recommend this location, TV didnt work, air conditioning did NOT work , no ice machines, could not find staff nobody was in the office. Left early in the morning there was no staff to inform of check out , then i called the location 10 Times and they Never Answered the phone !! Couldn't leave a message it would just disconnect! Terrible service
- qing (8/5): - 性价比高,挺不错的
- Steven (10/5): - The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. The room was really clean and inviting. Will definitely come again. Also very convenient to walk to the store or to grab a bite to eat.
- Steven (8/5): - Yes, it's an older facility in a small town, but the members of the staff were very friendly. The room was good for this kind of motel. My only complaint was that when I was taking a shower, more water come from the faucet than the shower head. The breakfast was a modest continental breakfast featuring cold cereal, oatmeal, or toast. Overall, it met my expectations for this level of motel, and the staff made it a good stay.
- Peiti (6/5): - The room is quiet.
- Dave (8/5): - Room was adequate for the stay. Continental breakfast-cereal, toast, fruit, juice etc. Air conditioning was not good at all. Didn’t really get cool until the middle of the night.
- Win Almira (8/5): - Highly recommend!
- Caroline (10/5): - The cleanest most well cared for "motel" I have ever stayed in! The staff/owners were phenomenal. Breakfast was great!
- Cynthia (10/5): - Great room with nice restaurants and grocery store walking distance, nice breakfast included. Near Bryce canyon.
- Deborah (8/5): - The room was nice. Bathroom was a little small, but definitely manageable. Appreciated the larger refrigerator and microwave option. Unfortunately, breakfast options were limited, continental breakfast
- Kurdistan (4/5): - Bathroom was too small and didn’t have a place / hook to hang your towel or clothes. Also kinda dark inside, didn’t have enough lights. The good about it it’s very close to Bryce Canyon
- Kaaren (4/5): - We cancelled our 2nd night of 2 upon arrival because of wildfires and a sign on the lobby door warning of possible power outages due to activities by firefighters. We booked through Expedia so had to cancel thru them. Since it was officially too late, Expedia said they attempted to contact the property for an exception to allow us to get a refund for our 2nd night. Expedia was unable to reach the reservation staff/management to grant this exception and therefore did not refund our 2nd night room cost. This is in spite of the reception staff at the property telling me that they canceled our room for the 2nd night on their system thus allowing them to rent it out to somebody else.
- John (8/5): - We enjoyed our stay here while visiting Bryce Canyon. We were not expecting much as it is one of the cheaper options to stay at. Rooms were basic and outdated but comfortable. Definitely don’t expect a luxurious hotel room. The only thing that really bothered us was the wifi would stop working every 10-15 minutes and then reset. This was a problem because my husband was working on homework while we stayed here. T-mobile also has zero service in Tropic so wifi is a must.
- sukhbinder (6/5): - You basically get what you pay for . Do not expect a 5 star hotel.
Tjsi wss good for our star
- SHALDAN (2/5): - Good location but the property and room is not in a good condition. The carpet was dirty, the entrance hallway is dark at night room service is poor. Not 24 hrs. for reception. You can’t even call them no one is answering on the given numbers in the website. The nearby restaurant is very good though, the steak is a must try.
- Verified traveler (10/5): nice hotel stay - We had friendly greeting when we got there by the helpful staff. Our room was clean and comfortable. They had a nice continental breakfast in the morning. the hotel might be a little older but our room was clean and we loved the chairs out on the deck as well. Price was much cheaper than staying at hotels in Bryce as well.
- Serena (10/5): - Nice clean rooms. Friendly staff. Convenient for our visit to Bryce Canyon National Park
- James (6/5): - It felt like the property hasn’t had an update in too many years.
- James (2/5): - the hotel was a very poor older motel. it advertises that is less then 5 miles from Bryce canyon park. it more like twenty -fives from the park entrance. so i check out within 30 min. after booking a best westerner in bryce city. a much nicerer hotel. This a once life time trip for me and my wife.
- Sherri (8/5): - Service was great, room was clean. Great restaurant next door for dinner and breakfast. Close to Bryce Canyon.
- Julie (6/5): - Close to Mossy Cave Trail! Easy drive to Bryce Canyon!
Breakfast was very basic - cereal, yogurt, bagels, and muffins. No protein.
- Julie (8/5): - Right on the edge of town! Not too far from Bryce Canyon! 20 min drive.
- Jessica (6/5): - very minimal continental breakfast, our TV didnt wotk and we let the office know several times but it never got fixed. Room was cleaned and fresh towels daily. We needed after hours check in and they taped our key to the office door to accommodate us.
- Julie (6/5): - Quick checkin.
- joyce (6/5): - Carpeting needs to be replaced.
- venkata (8/5): - Good value for the money
- Deanna (6/5): - Comfortable bed. Clean. Good hot water. Coffee pot, microwave, and refrigerator. Motel needs some maintenance, updating.
- Sue (6/5): - Nice little town. The hotel needs some love
The place was adequate!
- Jason (10/5): - Clean rooms & comfortable beds
- Joe (6/5): - Original room was dirty and dark. Air conditioning did not work probably due to the rusty water puddling on the top, towel stuck in ceiling tile for some reason, and one outlet in the room. We were moved to a much better room without question which was pretty clean and overall not bad, the old air conditioning units just don’t cool the rooms. Laundry room available, but only 2 of the 6 or 8 machines were operable. Convenient location on the little town of Tropic.
- Elliott (8/5): - Comfortable bed but room was so-so
- Kim (8/5): - The staff was very friendly and helpful. My granddaughter left her air bud in the bed and when she called, the staff looked through the sheets and found it and held it until we could come back from the park and pick it up. The room was clean and quiet. Price was reasonable.
- Cinzia (10/5): - Beautiful natural surroundings. Simple but efficient lodging in tiny town. Close to Bryce Canyon National Park.
Breakfast is good but could start a bit earlier.
- LAURA (10/5): - It was lovely, comfortable, quiet and clean. Breakfast was great as well.
We would love to stay again.
- Mike (8/5): - .
- Barbara (8/5): - Check in went well but the heater/air conditioner didn’t work. The staff made it right.
- Daniel (10/5): - I have always stayed at the Red Ledges and I always will. A Great Place!
- Jocelyn (2/5): - We will not book this ever again
- Mike (8/5): - Nice room. Good vallue for money. Close to Bryce Canyon
- Nancy (6/5): - Garbage needed to be taken out by the entrance. It stunk so bad. Was like that the whole time we were there.
- Susan (6/5): - The gal at the check in was very accommodating and helpful. The room was clean and bed was comfy. My biggest issue, was no coffee pot in the room, which would have been no big deal if the office was open so we could get coffee. However, the office didn't open for breakfast until 8:00am. If you are an early riser and want to get an early start to your day, you'll need to go next door to get your caffeine fix.
- Brenda (4/5): - Carpets were dirty.
- James (10/5): - Receptionist was very helpful
- claude (6/5): - this is a regular motel, everything is clean and functional in the room, the surroundings are ugly, zero effort to make it nice. Breakfast quite late (8am) while everybody was waiting to take advantage of the cool temperature in the Bryce Canyon. quite expensive fo what it is but I guess it is the high season for the Bryce Park!
- Gloria (4/5): - Room floors and bathroom were very dirty.
- Susan (6/5): - Liked the location
- AHMY KAI (10/5): - Front desk service was fantastic. Room was fine for an overnight stay.
