Guest Reviews
- Daniel (10/5): - Yes
- Theresa (6/5): - I was not impressed that it was not noted anywhere that we would have to pay a deposit upon check in. I also was not a fan of the front door being locked and having to call to have someone come and unlock the door and have a detailed sheet telling us how to use the shower and toilet
- Johannes (8/5): - Lots of construction. Weird system where neither the fridge nor the air con is running by the time check in comes around. In BC where it is 30 degrees outside?
- Baieruss (10/5): - Great experience overall!
- Daryl (4/5): - The room was left only partly renovated. There was a big gap under the door where mice could actually run in. Unfinished baseboards and flooring seams. The lobby door was kept locked to keep the drug addicts out. There was no overhead lights in the main room ,only one lamp. The smell of wood burning from outside came under the door.
- Franz (8/5): - Was good, quiet, basic.
Older style but worth the price.
Room was clean.
Service is on call, not staffed.
- Feba (8/5): - Good stay. Clean room /!: friendly staff
- Chrysler Lloyd (4/5): - No dryer not complete amenities. Poor construction of rooms
- Nathan (10/5): - Nice hosts ! 5 stars
- Nathan (10/5): - Nice hosts , recommend 5 stars
- Freddy (8/5): - Expensive for the location and type of accommodation. Good location for a quick escape out of the Vancouver area, close to decent restaurants and amenities.
- Justin (10/5): - Staff was helpful. The AC was not working when we checked into the hotel, but they kindly switched us to another room. Beds and hotel room were comfortable, and the check out process was easy.
- Jenna (10/5): - Our stay was for 3 nights. Nothing spectacular, we were just looking for a place to lay our heads at the end of the day. Rooms were pretty clean but definitely could have been a bit cleaner, ie. bathroom wall was spic and span, a couple of dirty drops on the wall, tub grips were old and peeling up. Not your typical hotel in that no one was at the front desk, not a big deal. Waited a few minutes then called, didn't have to wait long for her to come out. Tiffany was very sweet and friendly. We did have to pay the full amount upon check in which I didn't mind at all. It made checking out that much easier in that all we had to do was leave the key cards in the room and sent a text to confirm checkout. I thought it was a great price for what you get. I would definitely stay here again. See you next spring!
- Scott Marshall (8/5): - The staff was very helpful when needed and it was clean.
- Christie (10/5): - The Place w
- Christine (4/5): - We stayed at room212 and the aircon was not working.
- Alex (2/5): - This is not a safe place. Very far from Vancouver. But it is the cheapest believe it or not.
- Matt (2/5): - This place was awful and I feel dramatically over charge over 200 for a room that was falling apart this place was disgusting. I'm shocked we didn't get bed bugs
- John (8/5): - Room was large, bed comfortable and everything was clean. However, toilet didn't flush properly and lighting in the room was dim.
- leo (2/5): - Stairs unsafe doors looked like they had been kicked in on several units. No housekeeping bathroom taps loose, hairdryer didnt work
- Alisah (4/5): Disappointing - Advertises a restaurant, but did not exist. Seals around windows and doors were lacking. There were large gaps where air, light and sound came through. The floor was not mopped and the counter by the sink was sticky. The light fixtures/fan in the washroom was not there,
it was an open hole with the bulb.
- Janet (8/5): - Was the most inexpensive place to stay in Mapleridge while booking for a last minute trip to look at cars for my son..
Exterior is need of desperately fast rebuild of stairs leading up to our room but the interior suited myvson and I fine.
Was clean, two really comfy beds spacious, microwave, fridge, kettle.
No coffee maker though..
Huge 65inch tv with Tubi, youtube and netfix available no cheap old cable so we'll be back if we're ever in Mapleridge again!
Friendly staff too.
- Ahmad (2/5): - The door room didn’t lock
- Wayne (2/5): - I was traveling across BC, i ran into a road closure i wanted to see if i could cancel my pre-paid hotel unfortunately i tried twice and they did not answer. The problem is i am seventy years old and i ended up driving ten hours to get to the hotel. Cell service in the BC mountains is not reliable and i needed that hotel to answer, they didnt.
- jaskaran (8/5): - Every thing is good
- John (10/5): - We had a peaceful night sleep and would recommend to anyone, would book again.
- james (6/5): - We experienced this hotel while it was still under renovation construction. The bathroom had been updated, but we had to screw the bathtub faucet handle back on before we could have a shower in the morning.
- Sanjay (6/5): - Something’s don’t work properly. Building is old
- Darleen (8/5): - Great value for the price.
- Valentin (10/5): - The stay was very comfortable, certainly in line with expectations based on the advertised features of the property.
The front desk lady was genuinely willing to be helpful, and offered us a room in the back, which was quiet, facing away from nearby streets. This made for a memorable welcoming experience.
We're grateful and definitely willing to visit again!
- Yvonne (2/5): - Didn’t eat
- Andrea (6/5): - Upon arriving at the hotel it looks like a derelict property. We had to ring a bell as the door to reception was locked with a sign up although it was about 5pm in the evening. The restaurant didn’t look open, the hotel sign was unlit as was anything to do with the restaurant. The room was clean and looked decent and was very basic but we were just happy it was clean. The only options for TV was to sign into your own Netflix or Prime account, the hotel did not provide a single channel to watch.
The noise from the traffic was constant all night and lots of sirens as a hospital was apparently close by. There were drug addicts up and down the street all night as there was a supplier across the street in the trailer park. The hotel sits almost on the street so you couldn’t escape any of the noise or goings on.
This hotel is definitely misrepresented on their website.
- Payal (6/5): - Not proper air conditioner for all over stay.
- Tiff (10/5): - Absolutely loved our stay, definitely going to be yearly visitors
- Don (6/5): - The traffic makes this difficult to get underway and there’s not a whole lot in the vicinity.
- Nathan (6/5): - Friendly staff, busy street, noisy guest's
- Verified traveler (4/5): - This hotel has alot of false information they do not have a resturant or bar. Somone tried to break into my room thank goodness i was there when it happend. If you need an ove night hotel want something cheap there price is pretty good but as most things you get what you pay for.
- David Ron (8/5): - No-frills, well-priced hotel, with amenities including fridge, microwave and kettle. Aged property currently undergoing renovations, but with ample parking.
The shortcomings of the lacklustre aesthetics were made up for by an extremely welcoming and friendly hotel staff. If you can ignore the exterior, the hotel is definitely worth a visit.
- Kristine (10/5): - Quiet area. Nice
- Dennis (10/5): - St
- Vimie (10/5): - It was clean and quiet.
- Kelly (2/5): - Expedia did not explain that this motel not hotel was under a renovation after a fire and homeless occupation. If I had known this at booking I would have never have booked it.
- Juhi (10/5): - Great front desk staff
- Carl (8/5): Nice motel - Clean hotel worth pleasant staff. Comfortable beds with amazing pillows.
The motel was showi g it's she. Needs some paint and renos.
- Lorna (10/5): Cost effective - Great ác. Close the windo and room was quiet.clean
- Michelle (2/5): - Bugs in room, 2-3 “ gap under door, rat tried to come in, ac didn’t work, it was extremely hot. Noisy. Felt totally unsafe and unclean.
- Wayne (8/5): - Road noise on the front side was bad, Checkin staff was great. Older place, tune up after a partial fire.
- Toni (6/5): - It is an older motel that they are renovating. It's nothing special but the room was fairly clean and the bed was comfortable.
- Kristeen (8/5): - Very friendly staff , ca little bit older of a building but still clean (:
- Erin (6/5): - Property was under construction - no noise but the room was unfinished. For the price it was okay. Clean and comfortable bed and clean room. Fridge didn't work but I didn't need it. Toilet wall connection was leaking and front desk sent maintenance quickly but it still leaked after maintenance visit. Very friendly staff. Quiet place to stay as I got a room on the backside.
- Tara (2/5): - Upon arrival, the front desk person was very rude, i went with my husband and our 2 adult kids but they said you were not allowed to get tao queen bed for four people and even though i showed him the proof of our booking document, he still insisted that we can’t, it was after 1:30 am. And we were so exhausted
- Grant (8/5): - Very nice lady checking in , property under renovation but I think it will be great
- Rick (2/5): - One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. It was like renting a crack shack plumbing backwards have finished renovations doors. Don’t close bathroom door doesn’t close locks on the outside door didn’t work absolutely atrocious.
- Terra (2/5): - Absolutely will not stay here again. The lady at the front desk was the highlight of my stay. She was truly kind. The room however should not be used for people to stay. It stinks of smoke, wallpaper is peeling off the walls. Stains on the walls. Very large hole in the bathroom ceiling. Other people hair in the towels and tub. No screen on the window. Only bars . You can’t open the window unless you want to smell others cigarette and weed smoke. The room used to have two beds but they removed one and put a chair in front of the old headboard that’s still attached to the wall. Would not walk in the room without shoes
- Wosim (10/5): - Good value for money quite clean and safe
- Mark (4/5): Sketchy!! - First room I checked into the pipes were leaking in the hall and soaking the carpet and the room smelt like mold. The second room was better but the shower wouldn’t completely turn off and the toilet would flush on its own, I’d be sitting in the chair in the main room and I couldn’t see the toilet but it would just flush all night long. Then there were the random weirdos that were knocking on my door and window until about 5am
- Blair (2/5): - I check out early, forgot a Samsung watch in the room $600, 20min later I realized, " housekeeper already went in to clean, of couse there was no watch. Even.tho towel on the bathroom floor, beside the tub is where i left it..
- AS (8/5): - its is good property to stay at under reasonable price, its an old building.
- Seletta (8/5): - I really want to personally thank Tiffany for her care! She was very warm & friendly, she guided us to very tasty food after a long drive, and made my whole Canada experience brighter. Thank you!
- Doreen (4/5): - They used a picture that is not
accurate and there is
No open restaurant on site or fitness room than i could see. Some rooms are also rented by the month funded by ???
- Tara (8/5): - To the Wonderful lady at the front desk, thank you for being so nice!! The room was clean beds were soft all around great sleep.
- sheldon (8/5): - Staff is so friendly. May not be the ritz but best bang for your buck in Maple Ridge
- Laila (6/5): - I need a clean place to sleep while busy with work in town. This place fit the bill
- James (4/5): Fix AC, please - Very nice people and you can tell they are making an effort to make the hotel better. AC did not work and there was no microwave or fridge as described. Only offered discount for future rather than discount my poor stay which only allowed for 3 hours sleep because of how hot it was in the room. Not sure who is doing the renovations but I would fire them immediately. When I told front desk about my concerns i was told "many people have stayed there and never said anything" which is the same for every bad review on the site so I question accountability.
- Phillip (6/5): - Started off with locked doors which I hate, but the lovely lady who came out explained why and I could see why they do it. The place is trying to bounce back after a fire so the surrounding area is a building site. We were shown a choice of 3 rooms so the enthusiasm from the staff couldn’t be faulted. The rooms are slowly getting renovated so it’s not the Ritz. The rooms were ok and expected with the pricing. We would stay again for sure
- Jonathan (4/5): - This is a real review. Staff are really nice. Towel rack fell off the wall with slightest movement. Dirty floors in bathroom with incomplete floor tile job—like missing tile around toilet and shower. Haphazard caulking job in bathroom. No a/c so had to sleep a hot night with window open without a screen. Towels had body hair on them. The whole place is in renovation and they were hammering and working in the next room until 10pm. Door had trouble locking. Bed was good though. I would’ve asked for my $ back but they were super nice and trying to get the place off the ground. Stay at your own risk.
- Shelly (8/5): - Hotel was clean. The clerk was friendly and helpfu
- Larry (6/5): - The motel wasnt completely finished?? No mini fridge ,no microwave,no restaurant.bare necessities!@ plus side nice mattress.
- David (8/5): - The staff was amazing and the room a good size and clean.
- Lynn (6/5): - The hotel was not as advertised. Under renovation with lots to do. The price was right. Room was clean, bed comfortable and lady at check in friendly, once I gained access to locked lobby. No restaurant but classic eatery next door. Noisy from Highway 7, but manageable. This is a good location. Good luck to owners.
- Madelynn (8/5): - The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean.
- Valerie (8/5): - The restaurant & bar/lounge are not open yet but the room was very clean & the staff checking us in was very friendly & accommodating. We will check in again when we visit Maple Ridge!
Val A.
- Nicholas (10/5): - Hotel looks a little rough from the exterior landscaping, eavestroughs and steps up to second floor etc all need work. Room itself was clean, comfy bed, heat worked, TV worked well. Bathroom clean and Microwave area with sink etc new and clean. Room is noisy due to highway traffic but that dies down later at night.
- James (6/5): - For the price it’s not bad
