Guest Reviews
- Etienne (4/5): - The amenities are sub par.
The accomodation is advertised as a townhouse with cookware and a kitchen.
However there is nothing to cook with in the kitchen besides a micro wave, no kitchen sink etc... this is not a kitchen but what you get in a hotel room and that was the main disappointment.
There is also little to no dishes to eat from, I had to bring extra plates and cuttlery.
The place also needs some kind of wardrobe or rack to unpack clothes and personal belonging, there was nothing of that sort and we had to use our suitcases.
Otherwise the location is great and the place is very clean with a comfy bed. I was expecting a fully functional kitchen, especially for that price.
Will not recommend unless improvements are made.
Best Regards
- Frances (4/5): - The kitchen light switch by the front door will not turn on.
The kitchen is very dark as a result. The main living room light flares bright for a few seconds and then dims and goes out.
The locks are difficult. The door you come in using the key will not open from the inside, you have to go out a different door. You can’t use a key to come in the door you go out of, this setup is in breach of fire safety regulations.
The townhouse is described as having a kitchen, in Australia a kitchen usually has a stove and a sink. There is no sink and having to wash dishes in the bathroom sink is unsanitary. You then have to carry wet dishes through the bedroom as there is nowhere to put wet dishes down near the bathroom sink. The wet dishes drip on the floor making the large shiny tiles slippery and unsafe.
The only place to plug in the kettle is on the floor, which is awkward and risks spilling boiling water.
The spare pillows have no pillow covers and have been ruined in a washing machine.
The kitchen chair covers are stained and dirty.
Although clean and in good condition the large tiles throughout would make this a very chilly winter stay.
Positioned on a street corner the windows are privacy glazed with no screens so there is no air circulation and no A/C, so a claustrophobic hotbox in summer. The bed is very firm.
