- Sara (2/5): - Our room had apparently been worked on prior to our stay and was not cleaned before we arrived. We ended up canceling our entire stay here.

- Arthur (10/5): - Was a rustic , old cabin . although rustic the cabin had modern amenities and was more then adequate. The cabin was a lot larger then anticipated . Clean and comfortable. The owners where very nice and very accommodating. Definitely worth checking out .

Not the Hilton. But for the price it’s pretty top notch. A few minor nit picks. Nothing significant enough to list. Would stay again.
- Steven (8/5): - Had a room with double beds. Mattresses were terrible, pretty sure we were laying on the box spring. Property itself is very nice, rooms were clean and well lit.
- Amy (10/5): - This place is close to everything and far enough away to not be affected by the busyness that is Lead and Deadwood. I love being near the woods and mountains but where it is quiet and peaceful. This is a no frills, down to earth kind of place and I love it!
- Al (6/5): Mixed - It was very echo friendly cuz there was very little hot water flow in the shower.!?!? The hair dryer didn't work. It was almost impossible to drain sink. No one to check us in and we did not notice the email prior. However, the room was quiet, charming and homing. The location was good. PS instruction would be helpful at coffee maker.

Would stay again Saw a deer close by in the morning ! Had to try a few times to get in. Finally tried the check mark before 4#’s

- Adam (10/5): Do yourself a favor and book it! - GREAT cozy place to spend your time while you experiance the Black Hills. Broken Boot gold mine is just down the street and its minutes away from Deadwood and downtown Lead.
- Tammy (10/5): Convenient location by Lead/Deadwood - We stayed in cabin #5, there was 3 bedrooms with queen size beds in each room. Nothing fancy but very comfortable. There was a microwave and mini fridge but be aware of no cooking facilities or dishes. This worked fine for us as we had cereal and donuts for breakfast and we made sandwiches and had snacks in the evening when we got back from sightseeing for the day. There is a bbq grill but no utensils to use. We were still able to bbq hot dogs with what we had with. There is a grocery store and gas station less then a 1/4 mile away. Parking was directly in front of cabin. Cons: no end tables or night stands, no washclothes but lots of towels.

Limited amount of clean towels were provided at the beginning of the stay, however, nothing additional provided. This was our first time staying at this property. While it worked for our needs at the time, I'd prefer to spend the money on a nicer room with additional amenities. Staff / communication was via email or text only.

- Tim (8/5): - Tucked into a hillside, Ponderosa Pines lives up to its name as it’s surrounded by forest. A small stream runs in front of the property, and deer stroll the hills. The experience was like an updated old-school camp. Cabins and lodges are accurately pictured online. Ours was comfortable and clean. The room layout in ours (#15) was a little awkward and could benefit from a chair and bedside table. Water was hot, pillows comfortable, and services like groceries and dining were just minutes away. And it was quiet too in spite of the motorcycle rally.

- Savannah (10/5): Comfortable, and Serene - Great experience at this clean and comfortable cabin. Our room was on the end of the cabin. Parking in front of our door was great and the option to sit outside on the chairs of the front porch was a nice bonus. Loved the smart tv. Air conditioning worked excellent. Great mini fridge. Large bathroom which was ultra clean and towels galore were provided. Would be glad to stay here again.

We were provided with a phone number to text if we had any needs or questions and our text was returned promptly. We found the room spotlessly clean and in good condition. We especially enjoyed the front porch with the comfortable chairs where we could sit and watch the world go by with a backdrop of beautiful ponderosa pine trees. We recommend this place!

- Kelsey (10/5): Fun cabin experience - What an amazing find! I've driven past so many times and was so excited to finally get to stay here. The hotel is right outside of downtown Lead and only 2 miles from Deadwood; parking in front of the cabin is guaranteed and the self check-in was perfect. I got an e-mail with the check-in information and a follow up text which was a pleseant surprise. The room itself was comfortable and the ambiance was perfect. Will definitely be back.
