- Mitchell (4/5): - Firstly, the property may be in the middle of new owner. They may be working on the property. The cockroaches and cockroach eggs were not what we were expecting. The cockroaches were alive, and the eggs were in the furniture drawers. We had dogs. We paid the fee as usual but they ended up double charging us. Called the office and they said they couldn’t change the charge. We’ll dispute the charge with the cc company. It’s not a big deal but it takes time. We would choose anywhere else to stay in mobile.

- Jennifer (8/5): Served its purpose - Staff is very friendly! The room was hot and the fridge was not working when we go there. We turned the air down and it worked fine to cool the room. They fixed the fridge issue quickly while we were out. They serve a good breakfast, but get there early. Breakfast is supposed to be till 10, but at 9 pickings we’re slim, it was not replenished and fully available until 10. We were only there for one night and it was decent for the price and purpose of our stay.
- Steven (8/5): - Stay was excellent the room was nice mixed emotions about the jacuzzi not functioning but the only complaint about anything else was one of the pillows had hair on it. That was gross we threw it in the floor. And on the first floor the door at the end of the hall My room 101 was loud and squeaky and I heard it every time it opened and closed.

I could tell our room had been cleaned but the carpets need to be pulled. There was a slight sour smell. Our refrigerator didn't work, which was a slight inconvenience and they are short staffed. The breakfast was pretty good and they tried to stay on top of replenishing items as they got low. The customer service alone can cause this hotel to soar with the proper assistance. Ultimately, we enjoyed our stay. I definitely felt safe on the property and in the area.

I wish I had been able to take advantage of the pool but there was even a work-around for that! I will definitely make this my regular hotel for trips to Tillmans Corner!

Out of the three rooms that I purchased, there were roaches seen in all three rooms crawling in the room on the walls in the bathrooms as well. Multiple roaches. We passed a guy in the stairwell with a crackpipe in his hand, while my children were with me. The staff at the front desk were made aware of the roaches and all they had to say was “Thank you” we will call Orkin. I have been refunded in the past at way better locations for incidents like this. The guy with the crackpipe made me and my family nervous and caused me little to no sleep to make sure I kept and eye on my family. I would NOT RECOMMEND this place in any shape for or fashion, and will be making calls to upper management to make sure other families can dodge incidents and experiences like myself and my family encountered!

- William (10/5): Our go to hotel - Used to be the La Quinta, definitely needs some room renovations. We stay almost once every few months and the staff is always the best. The fridges definitely talk a long time to get cold. The couch in our room needs to be upgraded, it was hard and stained. There was one roach in our room but I think it came in from outside. Overall the hotel is our go to, we love the staff members and the mental reset. Only downside is the pool being closed twice now that we’ve been there. Breakfast was okay, wish they didn’t get rid of the biscuits.
- Aimee (6/5): Entire 3rd floor stunk - I stayed here for 2 nights. Upon exiting the elevator to the 3rd floor, I immediately smelled a musty/humid smell. It took me several attempts with the two key cards to enter the room to get it to work. The room stunk as well. I turned on the a/c and hoped the smell would go away. It didn't. I went to the front desk and asked for a candle or room fresher, and they gave me some liquid in a spray bottle. I went back to the room and whatever was in the spray bottle was not something to help with the smell. I went to the bathroom and the toilet would not flush. I went back to the front desk and brought the spray bottle. I asked for a plunger and was told that they just gave it to another person as their toilet was clogged. I then asked for another room and that it be on the first floor as that floor did not stink. She made the change and gave me the key card to a room on the first floor. I went to check it out and the key cards would not work, so I had them redo it. This room was fine, so I made the switch. I then stayed the 2 nights. The hotel is an old La Quinta and they say it is undergoing repairs. In fact, when you approach the hotel at night, the lit up La Quinta sign shines through the "Stay" sign. This hotel needs help.

Giving it 3 stars since someone was vaping on our floor and that the breakfast items needed to be filled promptly.

- Jose (2/5): - We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids 11&2) we stayed here 2 nights between our drive to Florida. Check in was easy but once we got to our room it smelled like smoke and was a single king with pull out couch not the double queen I booked. The front desk lady informed me that all the double beds were taken and that they did their best to clean the smell. Since we were tired from the drive we kept the room. After we checked out and continued our drive to Orlando I get a notification that my credit card was charged from this hotel. We call and were told that there was no notes on our account and would need to call back the next day to speak with the manager who knows what the charge is for. After waiting and calling back the manager who answered was the same gentleman that answered the previous call. He did not have an answer about why there wasn't any notes on our account about the smoke smell when we checked in just that nothing was going to change the fact that we were charged $250. Pos. -rooms are very spacious -tv has kid channels -quiet at night. Cons- -breakfast is mediocre and cold. Has a multiple waffle makers but only had one out. Causing long wait for waffles as multiple families were making waffles. We could see the others in the kitchen area on a shelf. -elevator smelled like vomit -manager
- Charmi (8/5): Pretty good - The place was clean, with helpful staff, is under new management. Breakfast was hot, scrambled eggs, biscuits, waffle, muffins and more. We loved the all day long Lemonade and coffee in the lobby. Pool was clean and open. I am taking a star away for key cards. Only one card worked qnd that too stopped working. The key card rarely worked on the side entrance. We got new cards and it helped a little. It was peaceful otherwise.
- Verified traveler (6/5): I should sue yall blind - Harassment. I wish these hotels could do their research a baby sitter can watch kids at 17. It is not illegal to do so. It is not. Nothing in alabama law says otherwise. As long as they have all things mean for safety and survival they can. Legally i could sue. For one you caused me loss of wages. Two you harassed my kids. Three you threatened me for something that wasnt illegal. Then for defamation of character. You yelled at my special needs kids. He was non verbal and he wasnt ignoring you. He just cant talk. Are you happy with yourself ?
- Verified traveler (6/5): Disappointed - This was our second stay there; on the way to Texas we had a marvelous stay on the first floor to the left of the lobby —rated it excellent—but this time we were put on the second floor in the other direction at the end of the hall. There was a dampness on the carpet and the noise from the highway was heard all night, plus the mattress was too soft and caved in the middle

We had to call everyday to get towels and toilet paper and we had to go to front desk to pick it up. We are on 3rd floor. Also there’s a horrible smell in our room. We had to go buy air freshener and doesn’t really help. I’m not very happy. I think we should get some of our money back.

Old enough to legally babysit That is legal in albama. 18 is not a child. I had to come over 45 mins drive to the hotel. I was told be there in 15 mins. I had to leave work. I couldn't make 15 mins. I even paid a baby sitter. Not only am i suing for loss of wages but also harassment. I was open and honest with this chick. The whole time im in the car she yelling 15 mins. I told her i would be fired. She said she didnt care. Run me my money. Done with mobile hotels who think they can treat lower class like dirt. Im making a list of the hotels now

Possibly the nicest staff we’ve encountered through the years!! The room was nice but not clean. Our original room (325) had a horrible smell so they moved us to (327) and it was better. The floors and vanity had hair all over them and the shower wasn’t all that clean. The pool was nice but the hot tub did not work. Although this wouldn’t be our first choice if we go back, it was fine for the 2 night stay! I do think the new owners will get it in shape in due time tho!!

- Donna R (10/5): - It was a nice clean and quiet place. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The breakfast had some nice choices. This used to be a LaQuinta and they have not finished their rebranding yet.

- Megan (8/5): Hard bed - The first room I was assigned to was not clean the bed linens were all over the place like someone had slept in the bed and their was trash on the counters. I had to go back to the front desk and get another room assigned that was clean. The second room was clean but the bed was hard as a rock. Quite uncomfortable. I checked out super early in the morning and did not stay for breakfast because I couldn’t sleep any more on the hard bed.
