- CHRISTOPHER (6/5): - Plus points: Good location for Cliveden, etc, very comfortable bed and modern room. pleasant traditional pub atmosphere in small bar area. Restaurant a little pricey for the place; meal ok, but cheeseboard not so good. Sea bass (small fillet but good) -price same as a leading Italian restaurant in Bloomsbury, where we got a whole sea bass. Minus points: Breakfast not good at all, poor choice of cereals, no fruit at all, cheap orange juice. Full English ok (just) but pricey for what we got. Coffee was disgusting. Waiter, though friendly, said he wasn't able to get me an espresso, no offer to get me a fresh, stronger coffee either. Also 12.5% service charge not stated on menu - I would have left restaurant staff a small tip, but that amount for service for the whole stay was exorbitant.
